The only good thing was the hot tub. Pool heater broken so it was cold. First room was full of cigarette smoke smell. Got a new room and it also had a cigarette smoke smell. Keys didn't work to 2nd room. Had to go back to desk. Eggs for breakfast were cold. Limited breakfast menu.

This is an OK hotel. If you’re looking for fancy, this isn’t it. But it served the purpose for our trip. The hotel is very outdated. I think that characteristic alone can give a hotel a dirty feel. It really was pretty clean though. Bed was good. I thought I had booked a room with 2 queens. I didn’t. That was my fault. But there was plenty of space for another bed. I thought it was weird they didn’t just put in another bed. Shower was good. I didn’t use the pool or hot tub, but that area looked good and appealing. I did try to use the “fitness room.” It’s on the 2nd floor. I’m assuming that’s the reason for an 8am open time. Most people who want a fitness room want to get up and workout early I feel like. That screwed up my routine. I did at least walk in the room to check it out. There’s NO air in that room. The whole hotel, besides the room itself, was a sauna. Hallways, stairways, fitness room were all at 80+°. Fitness room only had an exercise bike and a treadmill. Super small!!!

We were spending the day in Holland, this hotel was close, but more affordable. They had laundry and breakfast. The pool and hot tub did have some green in them, but everything else was good.

The staff were very friendy and helpful. The hotel needs new carpeting and updates everywhere. The breakfast was good and staff kept it stocked. The pool area was clean. Gym is the size of a closet. 5 stars for staff, and 2 stars for dated and worn out accomodations.

Check in was easy and the receptionist was nice. The parking lot is pretty tore up, and it doesn't look the best from the outside. But I have to say that the room was pretty clean. There is no elevator, so if you are on the second floor, you need to go up the stairs. The pool and hot tub were really nice. The carpets definitely need to be cleaned in the hallway.

Loved the location! I’ve never been to a place where it was so easy to walk my dog in the morning. Things were very close by and easy to access. The night shift concierge was awesome! Very kind and helpful. In the morning things were different and breakfast was cleaned up at least half an hour before the posted time. The pool wasn’t unlocked at posted opening time, and the pool area as well as the pool itself was less than clean. However it was good for a place to stay for the night and had a hot tub as well as the pool. I would stay there again to give it another chance.

Very Tired looking property, needs a grounds clean-up and maintenance attention. Poor TV operation and channel offering. Plunger in sink became stuck, could not un-stick it. Outside security doors did not lock correctly. Breakfast selection not very impressive.

The room at first looks clean but then you notice that the bed cover has stains. The bathroom had a missing heat lamp. The pillows had a smell to them. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

We only stayed one night so we didn't make a big deal but the sheets on one bed had what looked like a blood stain. On the other hand, my sister had her room across from us that one had what looked liked blood stains on the rug and the room also had some sketchy holes on the walls.

Staff are hard-working and kind. Rooms are clean and smell fresh. Things they cannot control… the grounds look abandoned- dead grass, dead/overgrown trees. The old stairwells smell musty and hallways smell better where they work hard to clean it. The rooms were fresh and clean. The breakfast was tasty and quick. I would stay again. My daughter will be at GVSU for 2 more yrs… its a reasonable price and a clean place to put your head with good people! Not to mention, we don’t have to drive home.

I was on 1st floor. It was so noisy until about 2am due to people running and stomping around upstairs as well as yelling. Room overall was average. 3 of the lights didn’t work. Bathtub was disgusting with hair on the walls and in tub. Bed sheets had stains on them. Breakfast was limited. Staff was nice tho.

I called the night before and the lady at the counter told me to call back because she was checking people in. Rude The breakfast was ok needed a better variety. Came home with bug bites all down both arms, under my chin and on my right calf. I am itching so bad it is horrible.

This is a very old (comparatively) hotel. Our door key kept getting deprogrammed (3 times in 2 days), a lot of the doors were not latching without help, the hot tub (ummm, warm tub) jets were not strong. The wall paper was peeling off the walls in the hallway. The breakfast was cereal, muffins, toast, and waffles. Nothing that i would classify as a hot breakfast. In our room, the faucet moved around like it was loose. The parking lot is not well kept. The lot next door is sold to Meijer, so i deduce this property will be decomissioned (hey, this is my opinion) in the near future. In fact, the only QUALITY that was in this INN was Micah. He went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Oh, and since one of our party works for Choice Hotels, we were upset that this location did not allow 2 rooms at the employee rate and we had to use hotels.com to book a room.

The room itself is scary. Wallpaper peeling and being held up my thumbtacs. The curtains on the windows are shredded from over use. The carpet has tears and bare spots. And HEAVY water damage on the bathroom ceiling. No fridge in room as advertised either. Overall i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

When I got my room the door didn't lock and the curtain sheers were all torn. Had no iron and has to reboot tv. I booked a king room and they put me in Queen and after door didn't lock was moved to a king. Carpet in halls needs to be changed. Lots of stains

Staff service was excellent. Friendly, available, prompt, and flexible. Breakfast was good. The place was decent. My rooms door was chipped away so someone can unlock it with the likes of a credit card. I switched rooms. Everything else about the stay was ok.

The check in clerk was very nice. Price was decent. Breakfast was meh. No warm water for shower in the morning When I said something to the check out clerk she just said "ok". I told her it was inconvenient not being able to shower, she said "yeah" Not great customer service at all! and got no shower :(

The best part is the hot tub! Many hotels don’t and that’s why I booked this one! My room had leaking spots all over the room, my bathroom was not cleaned at all, shower had someone’s hair all over it. Took pictures. They did not have anyone shoveling and when they did it was an older lady while the young worked just walked around the building. Breakfast was a joke, there was nothing fresh at all, no oj, milk was spoiled. Waffle mix was extremely old. Water took 20-30 minutes to even get hot when showering.
