We had a terrible experience. The hot tub was covered with pool and pool gate has caution tape. There were mattresses stored outside of our room. The tub made continuous noise all night. The lamps had rust and walls were poorly painted. Beds were uncomfortable.

Had to pay an extra $20 to check in an hour and a half early... even though a bunch of rooms were not occupied and ready. Pool was not open and signs were not posted in an obvious location. Pool gates were also unlocked.. I went to get pool towels while by kids went to the pool with my husband. The pool gate was open and no signs were posted. When I asked for towels, I was informed that the pool was closed. This hotel is also very run down, you can hear every car drive by. The shower drain backed up so you ended up standing in 2 inches of water while showering. I would not stay here again.

I wasn’t happy. First off they charged 20.00 for checking in 1 hour early even though the room was ready. The beds were uncomfortable made noise with every movement. The Jacuzzi was green and out of order.

The furniture was old? Fridge was rusty, beds were old and squeaky, light fixtures coming out of ceiling? Tub water nozzle hard to use? Old and rusty. No screen on sliding door, cigarette burns in the bedspreads, microwave broken. We were very, very disappointed in the property! Oh and the jacuzzi was broken and green! Would never stay there again and would never recommend to anyone! I have pictures.

I chose this property specifically because it is supposed to have a hot tub. Once i was checked in i went up to the pool area only to find the hot tub jets would not turn on. I stuck my foot in to find it ICE COLD. Obviously this hot tub had not had hot water in it for quite some time. When i went back to the front desk and inquired about it, i was told, "Oh the hot tub is broken." So i told him that was the main reason i chose this property. He said, "Sorry." No explanation, no asking if they could make it up to me. Nothing. You should change the picture of the property that shows the jacuzzi with jets running and steam coming off the water.

Brown water came out when we turned on the facet. U could hear everything u neighbor did. The beds make a lotttttt of noise. Water pressure was bad. Not sure if place was mopped. Some exposed holes in the wall

Owners are nice. Room had super noisy beds with very loud and crunchy springs. The bed had long hairs on the sheets when we pulled the comforter back. Our neighbors decided to get into a fist fight at 8:00 in the morning and a woman was screaming “HELP ME”. We were just waiting in a gun fire. Ghetto customers who are one step above being homeless. Never again!!

Room just smelled like smoke, bathroom was pretty much falling apart. Toilet was dirty, cover to tank was not even the right size, shower knob was upside down and backwards, spiders were in the bathroom corner. Bed was so uncomfortable.

There was a mix up with the name on the reservation so it took an hour and 20minutes to get the room key. When approaching the room the door was left wide open. Walking into the room it had a strong odor of cigarette smoke and urine. There were cigarette burn marks in the comforter. Went to front desk and lady there said it was cleaned and sometimes they leave the doors open to “air out the room. “ Gave me a new room and it smelled the same way as the other and we turned in the key and left to stay somewhere else for the weekend.

Rooms are dirty and filled with mold. Bathroom was beyond repair; fiberglass tub broken at the bottom causing potential cuts in feet, etc. Shower pipe had no face plate and was instead filled with spackle. Many of the room lights inoperative. Vinyl floors appear to be clean, but socks and feet turn black from dirt. And on and on and on!! Overpriced in every way. I will never stay here again.

The room had multiple fixtures either broken or rusted over like the showerheads, towel rack and lamps in the room. Felt like I needed a tetanus shot when I left just in case. The curtain for the front of the room was too small to cover the reflection of the mirror so anyone walking by could see into your room. The parking lot had a fountain that looks like it had been destroyed and left to rot. There were multiple, questionable fixtures up high on the wall that appeared to be either a dismantled smoke detector or a camera. Not sure(tried taking a video). The bedsheets had cigarette burns all over. The pillow cases were yellowing. The outlets were so loose the phone charger would fall out of it. Got up in the morning and I thought I could see someone walking past my door from my peripheral vision. Look over to see a mouse darting back and forth looking for a way out. Not to mention the fire department and paramedics coming to wheel someone away while i was packing my car to leave. Also i booked a king bed room, but got a 2 queen bed setup even though I was traveling alone and requested the single non smoking king bed room in my reservation. Every bit of this place was subpar and in need of cleaning or repair. Was it a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in? Yes. Was it any more comfortable than sleeping in my car, parked up on the street. Not really. Been there done that. Normally don’t complain but this place.. definitely left an impression on me for future consideration.

Our Room #50 is near the front and since this is a busy street, it was hard to sleep with cars, trucks, motorcycles, zooming by at all hours. Not the hotel's fault, but not the best nights sleep.

The fixtures, furniture, drapes, and bedspread were old and worn out. Sliding window screens were missing. Floors were cheap vinyl, and you could hear every footstep from upstairs. The bathtub was dirty, and the shower head control worked at only one temperature. Prices reflect its wear and tear (You get what you pay for!). There was no way to notify the Maid to stay OUT of the room, so they came in while away from the motel. Would I go back? NEVER!!!

The reservation was denied by the front desk at check in. They said our name wasn’t on the reservation. When the rep from Expedia called the property shortly after, they didn’t pick up the phone. Customer service is nonexistent. I don’t recommend staying at this property.

The owner and his wife are delightful. The place is a pretty basic budget motel, just as we were expecting. Nothing fancy. But the service was exceptional. Parking was easy, a/c worked well. And there’s a delicious cafe right next door. With good food and great service. I believe it’s called Garden Cafe. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, 🎄 too.

I re-booked my stay, cancelling a prior Hotels com booking do I could pay booking in full. When I arrived clerk (possibly the owner) advised that both reservations were cancelled by Hotels.com and advised me to contact Hotels com. Due to location, I had no service. I requested wifi so I can contact H.com but clerk refused to help. I asked for wifi 3 times.No help. I asked if he could call them. No help. I offered my Itinerary #, so he could look it up and read off number to make sure he had the right info. He still stated both reservations showed as cancelled. Finally, my son called Choice headquarters to complain. At that point, he began to help us and asked for Itinerary #. He said he found the paid booking. He allowed us to proceed with booking but under the condition that we end our call and complaint with Choice hotels. This incident caused us an hour of our time at 10:00 PM, loosing sleep time. When he finally proceeded with booking, it took another 10 minutes for him to take my security deposit, so he can write notes in his system. He even was about to help another customer, when I interceded. Blatant incompetence. Lack of empathy. Horrible social skills. Only helped to save his own skin from corporate backlash.

We were in town for a wedding. Several family members booked rooms here so we decided to do so as well. The rooms were just as expected. The service from the front desk to the housekeepers was beyond what was expected. Staff was quite friendly. Beds were comfortable. Parking was at our doorstep which made our comfort level very high. Walls are a bit thin so we could hear our neighbors but it was not bothersome. Check in and out was a breeze.

The staff called me shortly after I booked and asked what time I’d be there. It was 9:15 I let him know I was having dinner and will head over after. The location was 30 minutes away from me. He called again at 10 and said where are you you were supposed to be here. I let him know I’d be there shortly and that I had no idea the latest check in was at 10. He said yes hurry up. He was very rude. When I got there he’s explaining the policies and he said something I didn’t hear I asked him to repeat and he wouldn’t he just stared at me. I won’t return there ever again.

The AC was not working properly and the staff is very rude and unhelpful. They try to charge me extra for something that I had already arranged through Expedia and the front desk was very unhelpful and didn’t let me properly explain. when i got there after my late night shift around 1am, there was no one in the office. they left a note that they’d be back shortly. Someone came around 1:30. The receptionist was being unprofessional, and asking me inappropriate questions. I guess thats my fault for coming in late in my work uniform… :/. The guy told me check out was at 11am, that was completely fine with me. Im writing this review specifically because i was not informed id be woken up with a loud key knocking on the door before 10:30am. Over and over and over again until i responded half asleep and they asked if id like to extend my check out. It wasnt even 10:30! I had my alarms set, I planned to be out at 11. That is not the way to start someone’s morning. No thank you.

The location is very accessible & convenient to the town. The grounds were clean and parking could be had close to the room. The room itself, was a huge disappointment. There was only 1 outlet accessible in the room & that was located by the iron by the sink all the way by the front door. There was an ironing board but no iron. No fan in the bathroom & very poor lighting in the room. No additional lock on the front door for extra security. No plug in the tub for a bath & the small fridge leaked water onto the floor. I never was able to locate an ice machine. The bed was very comfortable & the room was quiet considering the proximity to the main road. There is no cafe or breakfast in the morning offered by the hotel. There was also no Bible in the room or any writing material … no tv instructions … and no phone instructions. No hotel receipt was given at time of check in or check out. I will definitely chose a different hotel on future trips to Fallbrook.

This place was nicer than expected because I set my expectations so low based on other's reviews. The sound insulation made it so we could hear our neighbors pretty clearly, especially late at night. My fiancé noticed a small squiggly hair on his towel, but mine seemed clean. There are significant damages to the place when we arrived so we took pictures to ensure that we get our $100 damage deposit back. The bed was decently firm, but better than a saggy, old bed! The coffee was one of the worst and wateriest we've ever had lol. Other than these complaints, the stay was better than expected. If you're looking for a budget friendly place and not expecting much bells and whistles, then this is the place for you!

Got there for a wedding and we knew that it was one of the cheaper options so we knew what to expect, arrived early and it was a $10 early check in which is reasonable. I needed to shower before and get ready as my wife had gotten ready prior, no hot water, which isnt really a problem for me but i knew it would be for my wife when we returned. Contemplated finding another hotel but time would not have allowed. When we returned hot water was restored. For the price I believe it was good overall so long as you know what to expect, its not a 5 star resort. When we left we had had a good breakfast at the restaurant next door, while we were dining we recieved a call that we had left our pillows, which was nice because we were next door and were able ro retrieve our pillows no problem. Owners/Staff were nice and friendly. Booked the wrong daye through hotels.com and they were not agreeable to switch dates so that sucked but it was my mistake so while not ideal I understood.
