Can’t beat this property. Location was absolutely perfect for us because more of a “local” feel. Staff is exceptionally kind. Close to many attractions and cafes right outside the front door. This area and probably this hotel are my first choice when I return to Paris.

Beginning with the modern and inventive lobby and continuing to the typically Left Bank small but well appointed rooms, this property is superb in every way. Special appreciation to front desk manager Laurent and to the wonderful cookies available in the early evening. Care and consideration are obvious in an expensively rehabilitated structure, including its modern elevators. A much appreciated bonus are the Nespresso machines in rooms and excellent lighting including special reading lights for the bed. Although the baths are small, they are well lighted and have a quality hair dryer easily available. The location could not be better for Rive Gauche devotees, with the oldest parts of the Sorbonne only feet away, a Metro nearby and only a few minutes to the Luzumbourg Palace and Garden. Newly reopened Notre Dame and its reinstated 400pm Sunday organ concerts is only ten minutes away. Situated directly on the Pl de la Sorbonne, the entry is adjacent to a lovely small fountain. Two adjacent brasseries serve excellent and affordable cuisine. Easily one of the Left Bank's best hotels and strongly recommended..

This is my favorite hotel in Paris. It is in an excellent location, rooms are immaculate and peaceful, the in-room coffee is excellent, the tea service in the afternoon with Kusmi tea is a plus, everyone at the front desk is absolutely wonderful (Un très grand merci à toute l'équipe!). I highly recommend this excellent establishment!

This is my second stay and it checks many boxes. I did pick one of the less expensive rooms and it is small. Elevator fits 2. Coffee, tea and snacks in the afternoon are so nice to have.

Charming, Thoughtful, and Well-Located We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout, which made us feel very welcome. The location was perfect—tucked away in a quieter part of Paris, which we appreciated after spending time in some of the busier neighborhoods. That said, the walls are a bit thin, so we did occasionally hear nearby neighbors, but it wasn’t a major issue. One of the things I truly appreciated was the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. It was clear that being environmentally conscious is part of their ethos, which made our stay feel even more thoughtful. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add a self-service water and ice station for refilling water bottles. We had to ask each time, and while the staff were kind, I could tell it wasn’t the most convenient setup for them either. The decor and overall style of the hotel were beautiful—modern, tasteful, and very Parisian. The air conditioning was a huge plus during our summer stay, and we were so thankful to have it. All in all, it’s a lovely spot with great vibes, and I would absolutely recommend staying here!

The hotel was excellent and in a wonderful, central location. Easy to walk everywhere and many good (ie not tourist) restaurants around. 5 minutes from the Luxembourg RER station to and from CDG airport. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t working towards the end of our stay and they brought in a fan and asked if we wanted to change our room. Also the bathroom faucet leaked and they planned to fix it after we left. Overall a great and for Paris, reasonable hotel. O

This is a nice boutique hotel in the heart of the city, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable however the hotel is dated and you can see wear and tear everywhere even in their towels and bedsheets there are wholes and tear which was unpleasant. Their amnesties are very poor and they only provide it once , we stayed 7 nights and they only provided 2 showers caps for the whole period, They don’t provide vanity kit or anything else rather than shower cap and shoe shine. The room we got for the first 2 nights was dusty and there was mold on it, they eventually changed our room which was a bit inconvenience. Overall the highlight of the hotel is their staff. It’s a bit overrated as a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is in a great location convenient for dining and shopping. The decor is semi modern and the beds were comfortable. The concierge team was wonderful, particularly Maria Teresa and David. The bathrooms in the rooms were the only disappointing feature as they filled with condensation when you showered and there was someone else’s hair on the shower floor as well as possible mold in some of the tile cracks.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It's located in a lovely, walkable area with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. A well-run and maintained hotel in a great spot on the Left Bank. The staff were always very friendly and attentive. Our room (the small standard) was dinky, especially the bathroom, but not cramped - just usual for Paris. If you have access issues, it’s a good idea to check with the hotel beforehand. A great base for a few days.

Property is nice and not badly located. Bed is super firm (we both love firm beds and have one at home but this bed was even too firm for us). Pillows are too stiff as well. No hand soap in the container for 2 days. Shower’s walls are glass and you can see other person from the bedroom. So no privacy. Locating is ok but a bit too far from main attractions. I think that for that price accommodations should be better.

The hotel is on the Place de La Sorbonne there is no parking nor unloading in front of the hotel. We had to unload a block away and carry our luggage ourselves to the hotel. This made for a rough start. The desk was friendly once we arrived and the room was charming. The bathroom for room 39 did not have a door to close so there was no privacy what so ever for the guests while showering or using the bathtub. We were traveling with our adult daughter and privacy was a big issue due to this. The bathroom has curtains on the front and back of the bathroom but no door. So any one in the room was able to see into the shower bath area. It would be easy for the hotel to install a rail sliding door or barn type door to solve this lack of privacy for guest sharing this room. The room was charming and uniquely designed. It did have a separate and private toilet room. Lots of little storage areas which was nice. The location was great and walkable. If they could find a solution to the lack of privacy in this room for the bath area we would love to return.

Great staff, very helpful and always courteous. It was a great stay, really close to Luxembourg Garden and Notre Dame. They had a great breakfast (for a charge). Cookies and water in the lobby were a nice touch. I only wouldn't stay here again because the standard room was so, so small that it was hard to more around the room with our luggages (2 adults). If you're traveling only with a backpack, then this would be a 100% perfect hotel. But if you have luggages, it's hard because of space.

I'm OK with small rooms in Europe, but this one was particularly tight. The right side of the bed to the windows was about 18 inches, and the toilet was essentially in a closet separate from the main bathroom. Also, the room had a quirky lighting system where either all the lights were on, or off (you couldn't choose which ones to turn on or off). The a/c was strong (yay!) but it blew right on you if you were sitting at the desk working. Nonetheless, the location was excellent, the breakfast was good, the staff was nice, and the room was very quiet.

The hotel was well situated, a short walk to Notre Dame and the latin quarter. Plenty of places to eat and drink. All the staff were friendly and welcoming at the hotel. The service was extremely good. Several times, the staff went beyond the call for us. For example, we had arrived from the US and were very tired. When we overslept breakfast by 30 minutes, the front desk called downstairs and had some breakfast held for us during the breakfast cleanup and the breakfast staff were extremely kind.

Great hotel but not so good service. At the checkout, the hotel representative wanted me to re-pay my already paid room. I had to argue for 10 minutes and showed him all the records from the payment I did months ago. No apologies from him, only blamed his system. We've stayed at this hotel during multiple trips over the last few years and it continues to meet and exceed our expectations. The staff are so kind and accommodating. This time we travelled with a 10 month old and they made sure that the room was ready with a crib and helped us move to a different room to make the stay more comfortable during kiddo's nap times. Couldn't recommend enough. A true hidden gem. location is very convinient to the metro, parks, groceries and dining.

We had so much fun in France and one of the reasons was a gentleman at the front desk at our hotel, Laurant. He made us feel so welcomed! He helped us with our French and my husband loved him so much he called him The Professor! We slept so good! Thank you for an amazing time!!!

We had a wonderful stay here for 3 nights this November. From the start, our experience was just perfect. Every single staff member we interacted with was so warm, friendly, and couldn’t do enough to help where needed. The hotel is really beautiful inside, and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of their executive rooms which was just lovely! The room was a snug fit, but very well appointed and smartly so. The front desk people were wonderful and so helpful. The hotel is located in such an awesome location near Notre Dame and near so many cool alleys with so much nightlife. Highly recommended.

This hotel is in an ideal location close to metro stations, easily accessible from Gare Du Nord when arriving by Eurostar and also within easy walking distance of the Notre Dame area. The hotel is very welcoming and they held our luggage for us before check in and after check out and couldn’t have been more accommodating. The gentleman working on the front desk was more than friendly and helpful, great customer service from him, I’m just sorry I didn’t catch his name. Beautifully decorated, great size rooms and lovely view out of the window into the square. Would recommend to anyone and also stay here again if back in Paris. Thank you :)

The Select Hotel Rive Gauche is in a great central location one block from the Gardens and easy walk to Notre Dame. Quiet location with fountains right outside and metro stops nearby. We stayed in the Suite with 3 adults, king and twin. Spacious, full tub with large shower. Sliding dividing doors for privacy in between sleeping areas. We would stay here again.

The location in the Latin Quarter was excellent. 10 minute to the Seine. Our room faced the courtyard and you could open the windows for fresh air and the sound of the fountain outside and when it was closed, very quiet. The staff were were very accommodating with special mention to Maria-Theresa and Miguel who helped with a scheduling issue and dinner recommendation!

Location was perfect, easy walk to our favorites Pantheon and beautiful Jardin Luxembourg. The fountains in the plaza in front of the hotel entrance made it easy to find. Staff was super friendly and helpful and spoke English, room was clean and looked exactly like the pictures online, well-thought out design with lots of storage cabinets to stay organized, coffeemaker in room, breakfast wasn’t free but was very good with variety of options, sweet and savory, the shower had strong water pressure and stayed hot long enough for a relaxing wash after hours of walking. Great staff, very helpful and always courteous. It was a great stay, really close to Luxembourg Garden and Notre Dame. They had a great breakfast (for a charge). Cookies and water in the lobby were a nice touch. I only wouldn't stay here again because the standard room was so, so small that it was hard to more around the room with our luggages (2 adults). If you're traveling only with a backpack, then this would be a 100% perfect hotel. But if you have luggages, it's hard because of space.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. The staff was excellent to speak with, in both French & English. They recommended walkable restaurants, provided us with a Paris map and highlighted many excellent sights not to miss. The breakfast wasn’t complimentary, however it was excellent. Rooms were clean & well kept. We loved sleeping with the windows open, only because it was April.

Loved the location of this hotel, quiet at night, but walkable to so many great restaurants and to so many sights. The staff was amazing, and the breakfast each morning was top notch. Our room was perfectly designed, with lovely accents of the old original building beams exposed, yet completely modern. Loved having two windows that opened up to the view over the plaza. My only complaint was the mattress was a little more firm than I like, but my husband didn’t have an issue with it. We would stay here again next time we come to Paris!

Hotel Rive Gauche is an extremely nice and pretty boutique hotel with great service in a very walkable neighborhood near transit. Also near Luxemburg gardens for morning walks. Our family of 3 stayed in the charming junior suite with plenty of room, modern facilities. One improvement needed is the breakfast - at 16Euros each the offerings were not up to par compared to other European hotel breakfasts. Better to find a cafe in the neighborhood - including right outside the door.
