Elevator was broken on night of checkin, was fixed the next day. The lobby was rented out for some event that played super loud music very late into the night. The water out of the faucets would come out brownish/yellow. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly.

I stayed for six nights. First floor room is roomy, with 12 foot ceiling and large window. Hotel looks a bit dated outside but inside it’s been nicely updated. Pool and hot tub were clean. Breakfast was eggs, ham, waffle option, and the usual continental offerings. Free laundry! Convenient to Madison and dining, groceries.

Hotel was fine but several issues. Cons: Not enough pillows or towels for a family of 3 staying in a king suite. Poor (weirdly small) pillows. No dressor in the king bedroom - so no where to put clothes!! Was very strange - how a dressor was missing so could only hang items but not fold or have anywhere for socks, etc. This was a major drawback - when staying nearly a week and nowhere to put folded items. No conditioner in shower - need to ask front desk - cannot get from maid service (which BTW is only every 3 days). WiFi did not work on cell phone. The key card stopped working at least 1-2 times each day over our nearly week stay!! Very annoying to have to go down repeatedly to front desk for new activated card. Pool was cold (confirmed by 3 separate guests) and jacuzzi ok but not really hot. Weekend rate is costly for this type of hotel. Pros: Location good. Breakfast had nice variety. Room spacious and clean.

The rooms are fairly large and have a full size fridge, dishwasher, etc. The room is stocked with supplies and the beds were comfortable, Could have used extra blankets but we did not ask. Parking is easy. The breakfast hours on the weekend are way too early for us, they close at 9:30a on a Sunday.

Clean room and property, friendly staff. Adequate breakfast with various options. Pool and hot tub nice but look like they could use some tlc cosmetically. Overall, would stay again due to convenience of close enough to downtown Madison and but outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown. Bars and restaurants also near by. Try the Tipsy Goat - walking distance from hotel - great outdoor patio with gas fireplace!

The room was clean comfortable and mostly they kind of thought if everything. Hooks where you actually want to hang something. The little kitchen was better stocked than most airbnbs. Soft bed and decent pillows. Nice hot shower with a lot of water pressure. Front desk were all very nice.

We had bugs in our room, see photo. We also were very creeped out by the staff. My sister wasn’t feeling well so she went back to the room early. As she was taking a nap, the front desk lady entered our room (no knock or warning). As she saw my sister, she said “oh sorry, I was just seeing if this room was occupied”. Even though my husband and I checked in 15 minutes prior and she saw us leaving the hotel together. It seemed as if she knew we left and thought we were gone so she entered our room to steal things. Very unpleasant experience.

In the main it was a good stay with clean and adequate facilities. It is dog friendly & relatively quiet though we could hear the alarm in the room nextdoor as if it were ours. There are several restaurants and parks within walking distance and you can rent a bike and access the wonderful trail system. Negatives: gambling machines in lobby, spotty hot water, terrible coffee, meh breakfast, unwelcoming check-in person.

Room was fine and clean. Biggest issue was sound. Our room faced the front parking lot, and between the hallway and window, so so noisy. We could hear full conversations. It was also a wrestling state weekend, and kids were running all over the hotel so loudly and late at night. Families took over the lobby and pool and left trash everywhere. Hotel staff tried to keep up, but was hard late at night with limited staff.

It was nice to have a mini kitchen, although I didn't stay there very long, it was nice to have a full size refrigerator. The TV was very small, and had 25 dots on the screen, had to have it changed out. the replacement had 2 white dots on the screen. difficult to view the tv as it was.

It’s clean and convenient. Staff was friendly. Room was decent and bed was comfortable but the pillows were so tiny! It’s like half the size of a standard pillow size. Wish breakfast had a better offering, very basic. Overall, it was good but nothing memorable. May consider staying again if in area and price is reasonable.

The basic conditions (safety and ability to have a quiet night’s sleep) were good but the technology needed to conduct business was not. Internet was not reliable and TV was unusable. That is a desl breaker for us and means we will not stay here in the future. It was nice to have a decent kitchenette but there was no dishwasher detergent. There was soap but they are small chips. There were a couple of outlets for tech but not enough to use in all parts of the room wherethere was furniture. There was a cutting board but it was made of glass which dulls all knives. Those are the most notable nice to haves, but as I wrote the desl breaker is bad tech. The remote control was unusuable; there must be a document in the room to explain how to use. We downloaded a user manual and still couldn‘t use it so we just didn‘t use the TV for the four days we were here. TV nice to have, internet is a must have and we were kicked offline many times. Staff was nice so kudos there, but a staff member insisted on coming in the first night to adjust TV controls. This should never happen and goes back to my point about remote instructions.

Room was spacious with a full kitchen and full-size fridge. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, and we enjoyed our two-night stay. Plenty of dining options in the area and a fairly quick drive to UW. The pool and hot tub looked nice, but we didn't use these. The breakfast was average; did have eggs and waffles, so no real complaints. We would stay again when in the area.

Kitchenette was a pleasant surprise, and we got a large space for the price we paid for. The only things I didn’t like was not knowing it was pet friendly in the rooms since I have allergies. I also couldn’t get the room to stay a consistent temperature with auto temp control on the wall thermostat. It would get hot before the air kicked in, and the air was super cold, then it would shut off and the process would repeat itself.

I have stayed here many times in the past and it has always been a good experience until this time. There was a new girl at the front desk that has nearly zero costumer service skills. I got all unpacked in my room and when I turned on the tv it would not work so I called the front desk and she said she would give me the room next to me instead so I went to get the key to transfer my stuff. When I get to the desk she then tells me I need to get all of my stuff out of my current room first then bring the key down to get the key to the new room. She could have told me this to begin with, before I made the trip down there. So this means I have to repack suitcase and food and leave it all in the hall or tote all it back to the front desk, she states this is policy but on two of my other visits with a broken entry door hinge and a very strong perfume smell when I needed a new room this was not the policy, the staff then was very professional and did not make me the paying customer deal with all the inconveniences for their shortcomings. I’m not sure if I’ll stay here again.

No one was available when we arrived & had to call for room keys. One of our 2 rooms was filled with cigarette smoke. Then had to call again for help. Got a room on another floor with no sheets on 2nd bed & no sheets in the room to make a bed. Had to call a 3rd time for help & got a 3rd room on a different floor. No sheets in this room either. Had to call a 4th time and were given sheets to make the bed ourselves. No one was at the front desk the entire time so that is why calling for help each time.

Got a room on another floor with no sheets on 2nd bed & no sheets in the room to make a bed. Had to call a 3rd time for help & got a 3rd room on a different floor. No sheets in this room either. Had to call a 4th time and were given sheets to make the bed ourselves. No one was at the front desk the entire time so that is why calling for help each time.

Room was fairly clean. Had to run the hot water for 10 minutes to get it warm for the initial shower of the day. Stayed 2 nights, was not told that room would not be serviced unless it was 3 day stay. Standard breakfast was okay. Staff was very indifferent, unfriendly, and overall not welcoming. The first employee we encountered when we stopped to see about a little bit of an early check in was incredibly rude! To the point we almost just went to another hotel. We decided to stop back later in the evening to check in when a new employee was on duty. She was incredible! Very helpful and extremely apologetic for the rudeness of the earlier employee. I would hire her in a heartbeat for my own company. The first employee I wouldn’t even give an interview to. She saved our business and we stay at this property yearly and because of her we will be back.

There were a few fast-food restaurants close to the hotel, and the hotel has no restaurant on the property. The good news is that it is a short distance to the highway to get around. A vehicle is needed as there aren’t any convenient places to walk to. I am not aware of how public transportation works for that srea.

It’s clean and convenient. Staff was friendly. Room was decent and bed was comfortable but the pillows were so tiny! It’s like half the size of a standard pillow size. Wish breakfast had a better offering, very basic. Overall, it was good but nothing memorable. May consider staying again if in area and price is reasonable.

We had a great stay here. The staff was friendly, the hotel is clean throughout, and the breakfast was wonderful. The ice water and coffee in the lobby was a bonus for our early mornings and hot days.

The rooms are fairly large and have a full size fridge, dishwasher, etc. The room is stocked with supplies and the beds were comfortable, Could have used extra blankets but we did not ask. Parking is easy. The breakfast hours on the weekend are way too early for us, they close at 9:30a on a Sunday.

This is a more extended stay suite than a hotel. Rooms are a good size, and they come equipped with a stove, fridge, and dishwasher. The hotel is clean, quiet, and in a good area, close to a Super Saver, and across the road from a bus station, making it easy to travel to downtown and the UW campus without a car. The staff is not so friendly, they don't smile, and they look grumpy all the time. Breakfast was not so good, and they clean the rooms after 3 days you staying in the hotel. And for managers, if they see those comments, one of your employees was with slippers working on breakfast time, and in one day they mop the floor the front of the breakfast room during breakfast hours, this is not safe. If you are on budget, it is a nice hotel to stay in

My interaction with the front desk staff was by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I have never dealt with a person as rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and dismissive as the lady at the front desk. Her behavior and attitude completely overshadowed what was otherwise a great stay. The room was comfortable and quiet with good amenities. Unfortunately, the check in experience was so unpleasant that it tainted my entire trip and was genuinely anxious about leaving my room because I didn't want to have another interaction with the front desk. No guest, or person, should be treated the way she treated me and other guests. Hospitality starts with how guests are treated and this experience fell far short of basic courtesy. It's disappointing that the service at the front desk left a lasting negative impression. I have to visit this area frequently, but I will make sure I never go back to this hotel again.
