Super friendly and helpful staff. Room is cute and generally in good condition. One of the light bulbs was out but not a big deal. Overall a very good stay. It’s obvious that the staff and management really care about the property. I recommend anyone who’s looking for a place to stay in Portland to stay at Mark and Spencer.

The Mark Spencer Hotel was a great find for our family of 5 in the suite. The whole hotel had a crisp, clean updated, historic vibe. Our room had a spacious set-up with the two beds in one room and a cute couch/full size pullout in the comfy sitting area, and a efficient bathroom with a large, neatly tiled shower with special features . The kitchenette also offered more than I expected for a hotel suite with a cooktop and pans, while still keeping with the overall classy look. The staff was helpful and kind, and we enjoyed the Oregon wine tasting in the evening. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hotel & see more of Portland. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great location! I like the charm of an older building. It's kept up very nicely and doesn't feel old.
