Dated and run down. Walked into room and it smelled musty. Went to close the curtain, the valance fell off completely. Tears in the carpet. Beds are very old. Two small pillows each. Fire alarm has a bag over it. Furniture is old and partially broke. Cheap office chair. No coffee cups. No soap or shampoo. Small tv. Refrigerator has a piece of duct tape to keep it closed. Toilet is not secure to the floor. Shower has old crusty shower head and missing the grab bar on the side. Rusty holes where the grab bar screws were. Some funky plastic thing stuck on shower wall. All corners of room has damaged sheet rock. Cracked tiles in the bathroom area. Outside is dirty. Pool area not clean. Nothing like the pictures. No continental breakfast. Will never stay her again.

Although this property was not luxerious, it had the basics that we needed. The locked check in door had me concerned at first, but the staff was friendly and helpful. We found the beds super comfy, fresh towels and sheets appreciated. (Some green hotels will not replace daily) It was hot and enjoyed the change. New flooring and paint on the bathroom door would help the appearance greatly, but the location was very convenient to SDSU (1 exit away), and parking directly in front of room was nice. Will stay again.

liked the professionalism, courtesy and helpfulness of the front desk staff. Room was clean but worn. Location is horrible being within 75feet of freeway 8 which is also in a narrow canyon. With the poorly sealed room door I might have well been sleeping next to the freeway. Fridge didnt work, ice machine out of ice. But for $89 this what you get in san diego I think

The facilities were fine parking was good and the area was quiet. The only concern I would note was that the shower bath was dipping upon my arrival and on two occasions the hot water was at best luke warm, which I can understand base on current occupants in the facility at the time. overall a decent stay.

It was a nice room but needs some upgrading . There is tape in acouple of areas that holds down the carpet . The ice machine is out in the pool area and did'nt have any ice on my first night.I liked having the cash option for the deposit and getting it back after checking out. I would stay there again. The room rate was really good.

This place is awsome! Will be my go to place when we stay in SD from now on...for the price cannot beat this. Clean, no roaches/bugs, comfortable beds, small but clean pool, AND breakfast! We stayed at a place in a neighboring city that was only 10 dollars cheaper, had roaches & no breakfast. Met one of the maintenance workers and he was kind & helpful. House keeping staff is obviously doing an amazing job too!

I liked the proximity to the college and the BBQ restaurant next door. The surrounding neighborhood was nice and a trail head was close by. The facilities unfortunately were very dirty. The bed had dirt clots under the sheets. There were make up stains on the comforter, the carpet felt damp and sticky, there was a hole in the wall in the bathroom. The room smelled musty.

The Rodeway Inn that we stayed at was horrible. It was in a very sketchy neighborhood and when I opened a drawer there were cockroaches. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I left and made a booking at the Hampton Inn instead. I should get a refund for instances like this. I doubt if I will book through hotels.com again.

This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. It was filthy I couldn’t stay my full stay it was hideous. I booked from June 6–8 had to stay Friday because I couldn’t get a room any where else. I checked out the next morning, I emailed and called for a refund for the day I didn’t stay they have not found a solution to get me my money back.

Too much to say that I would NEVER again book here. The only thing good was the comfy beds I think. Very smelly room, carpet very dirty it was disgusting even walking with sandals. Reported guest above our room playing soccer and to much noise. Were told was working on ac like hello why work on ac at night when guest are trying to sleep second the noise was someone was jumping throwing you name it. Anyhow it was settled after my third cal. Lastly roaches to top it off! Had to take our belonging to our vehicle as we dis not want to take them with ua should one decide to get in our bags. Horrible experience this is why i am booking currently with a bjg chain of hotels vs these little ones.

The website stated that breakfast would be available. It was not. We were told it had been removed. If it was removed then it should also be removed from the website amenities. Place looks like it is not cleaned very well. Our room had FLEAS!! we woke up with bites and itching, we found on our bodies!! Staff was friendly.

Checkin was fine. The room was VERY small but clean. The only door is to the shower and toilet. The bathroom sink, microwave and fridge is all next to the beds. The beds were kind of lopsided. We could hear everything happening above us and on both sides- the walls are thin and it Sounded like people were just hanging out in the parking lot right outside our room the whole night. We only stayed one night but chose this place because it said continental breakfast however one hour in (so we didn’t just rush in at the end) there were two containers of cereal- mostly crumbs and a pitcher half-filled with orange juice. Not even freshly brewed coffee. And only three tables and chairs which were filled so there was no place to sit. If all you need is a place to sleep this is fine. But i can probably do way better next time for a negligible price increase.

The room is extremely small. No room for people to move without running into each-other. The bathroom had issues flushing and is of very low quality. The beds however were clean. Although I paid $123 per room which is not that low. I had paid $90-$120 earlier and got a 3-star style Hotel. This is a very low income and very low end Hotel. I would not go here again.

Room was clean and quiet. Coffee pot, mini fridg, microwave, shower nice. Bed comfortable. Nice hot water in shower. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Wi-Fi was “down” and unavailable. Travel business work station computer in lobby had no keyboard and Wi-Fi unknown. I didn’t NEED it, so I was able to manage just fine with data. FYI, the gallon of milk available from 7:30-9:30 for the (very) continental breakfast was the same one that sat out all 3 days I was there. I didn’t test it after day 1.

Property was on a residential street but most units backed up immediately to a major highway and we're very noisy all night. Heating system worked well. TV was not even plugged in. No tissues, no hand lotion, no shampoo or conditioner for the shower.. breakfast was extremely basic with Cheerios and frosted flakes, very weak coffee and oranges and apples. No information was given about the Wi-Fi when checking in and telephone did not seem to work. I would not stay here again.

The lady at the front desk that stated she only works there Fridays and Sundays was SUPER RUDE! I had questions about transactions she was making on my card and other questions and she was so bothered by me asking that she threatened to call the cops and kick me out. I didn’t even raise my voice and when I asked for her managers name and number and she just told me no she’s calling the cops… well cops never showed up but seriously this place is a joke she argued with all 4 customers there… her customer service is none existent

The stay was ok. The front desk person took a long time to process the reservation I had and wasn't pleasant, but did provide me with a receipt for the room charge and security deposit. When I left the next day, I expected the $100 deposit to be returned. The bank said they never got the $100 credit and I have to dispute it more than a week later. I called, emailed, called Rodeway Corporate and they said it was returned but I NEVER got the refund. It's taken more than an hour of my time.

This hotel specifically is my favorite place to stay. The location is phenomenal. The crowd is pleasant. Everyone is friendly and upbeat! Yet calm and quiet at a decent hour. The staff is wonderful. The coffee was tasty :) thank you for such a wonderful visit!

There was nothing pleasant of this place when checking out a physical fight broke out in between the teller and another individual. After that fight broke out. The teller was swearing at me, yelling at me and telling me to " sign the (profanity) line" when I asked what the documentation involved.

Property advertises being close to SDSU. Maybe as a crow flies, but in spite of its apparent physical proximity, it is a very inconvenient property if you need easy access to SDSU. Other than that, its an older property that needs updating badly. I'll choose another option next time I need to visit SDSU. YMMV.

I paid $100 on a Saturday night so I thought that was a good value for this hotel. It's right by the freeway so you need ear plugs sometimes but I did okay with the fan blowing. The room was fine with microwave and refrigerator. Overall good for the value.

The room was missing the microwave. Breakfast consisted of waffle with syrup in a cup. It was a disposable cup with syrup in it. There was no juice, toast, fruit, or cereal. The room had a musty 80's smell. The outside of the hotel was nice and clean. I would recommend the Days Inn that is two doors down.

There was no cleaning every day.Breakfast should not be a feature. There was only teenie muffins, cereal and juice. No hot tea. We had to pay $100 cash deposit before we could. check in. All negatives.

There was hair in the shower and fridge when we got there and it smelled strongly of weed two different times (maybe from a neighbor?). My flight was delayed and even though I called and let them know, they told me I was a no-show when I checked in so they'd have to see if they could find a room for me. This is after telling me that my reservation was noted and I would be just fine to check in late. They did get me a room, but it was a hassle. The "breakfast" consisted of the following: a waffle machine, milk, juice, two kinds of cereal, and packaged chocolate filled pastries. The pictures of their breakfast bar are very misleading and I saw at least three people walk in, look around, and walk out without taking anything.
