Courtyard by Marriott Atlantic City Beach Block

This hotel was clean, our room was spacious, a short walk down to the beach & boardwalk. The breakfast menu was very small & didn't have several of the items available the day we ate there. We were informed early of the day we arrived that they were having issues with the hot water system & would refund our money if we didn't want to stay there. We thought that after our 7 hour day to Atlantic City they surely would have had the issued fixed. We stayed 2 days there & the problem wasn't fixed. The only ice machine was also broken. We were given free parking, but that was the only compensation we were given.

I gave the property conditions a terrible because there was no hot water. The Marriott gave us 100 dollars off the room. and they will be contacting Expedia to have our booking repriced.

Property and staff were amazing, the only down side was the ice machine on every floor were not working and the daily parking fee.

Property was clean.Restaurant was closed.. Not too many dining options in the area. The hotel needs restaurant to be open.

No notice that you must pay $28 to use a valet service for their secured lot. Elevator is slow

Seems like area around hotel been never cleaned up. on the parking lot at the back, often playing music very loud. Even for the guests hotel does not have free parking, only valet and very costly.

Had to pay $28 a night for valet parking. Only other choice is park who knows where and have to walk to the hotel. Wasn’t told about a “hold” amount for room until I got an alert on my phone that courtyard took $190 dollars. When I asked one man said it is Expedia and the woman told me a fee for the room. I had paid in full prior to checking in. None of this happened last year. Talked about breakfast and dinner but restaurant was closed for dinner. Maid service didn’t come to the room on Monday to take the trash let alone make the beds. Was a disappointment from the previous year. Casinos don’t even charge $28 a night for valet parking.

Very convenient to boardwalk.Not crazy about 20.09 parking fee per day.

The property happened to be replacing their boiler and so did not have hot water. We found this out at our check in. The room we got had AC that was not up to par and the mini fridge was missing from the spot. When we went to get ice to keep our snacks cool, we learned that the ice machine was not working. We got our room switched and while this room had a mini fridge, the AC was still not working well.

Clean room, hallways and smelled very nice and Friendly staff

The property itself was wonderful! The surrounding area was not great but the hotel doesn’t have control over that. It was clean and organized in the room and all of the staff were very polite. We’d definitely stay there again!

Everything was perfect except I found hair in the shower and also on the floor in the bathroom, two big clumps.

We had a great stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Atlantic City! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the hotel overall was spotless. We really appreciated the safety protocols in place to ensure only guests had access—this gave us peace of mind throughout our stay. One major plus was how easy and quick it was to get our car in and out of the back parking lot, which made coming and going a breeze. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, secure, and convenient stay in Atlantic City.

Cleanliness

The staff were very friendly and helpful my room was very clean bef comfortable. I would definitely book again.

I was a bit surprised with the AC Marriott because of the Marriott name, however I will not be back. The hotel seemed dirty, there was hair in my shower and dried up urine on the toilet seat. The dining area where your order food was covered in dust. I stood in a line, only one person taking orders and the more I observed, I wound up leaving the line and getting coffer elsewhere. A family member in another room had zero body wash or soap. Called the Front desk and they said okay. She waited thinking someone would bring some to her and nothing, thankfully she remembered she brought her own. One and done, I will also be a bit more skeptical of Marriott and not just assume they are nice.

Not clean. Found someone elses hair all over the bathroom floor and shower. Not coming back here.

We stayed for 2 nights to see a concert at Hard Rock - the hotel room could have been a bit cleaner (hair in the tub) overall just a bit run down - the area to get breakfast was weird - you had to order & then they made it for you - took forever to find someone to take our order & then they gave 1/2 of it to another table - seemed like the young lady did not want to be there - the energy was depressing

My room wasn't very well cleaned hair all over the tissues box and toilet seat not all the towels were clean no soap or hand towels tv didn't work I have stayed at many Marriott Hotels and have never encountered anything like this ! I personally would never stay here again and to make it worse hotel guests have to pay 18 dollars to park there vehicle outdoors in the parking lot .

We recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Atlantic City for a one-night trip (around $350), and my experience was a mixed bag. Starting with the positives, the front desk staff was fantastic, friendly, efficient, and welcoming, which set a great tone upon arrival. However, there were some notable downsides. The biggest issue in the room was with the hot water in the shower. It simply wasn’t working properly, forcing us to rely on the separate handheld to get any hot water. We didn’t bother complaining since it was just a one-night stay and we had a workaround, but it was still inconvenient. Another annoyance was the room temperature control, we couldn’t adjust it below 68°F, so it got uncomfortably warm at night, making it tough to sleep well. The real frustration, though, came with the elevators and parking. The elevators were painfully slow, to the point where we opted to take the stairs most of the time, which wasn’t a huge deal but still not ideal. The only road to get into the parking lot was blocked by a service truck picking up linens for the Wydham next door. Overall, the hotel was fine for a quick visit, especially with the great front desk service, but the hot water issue, temperature control, and sluggish elevators left me less than impressed. It’s workable for a short stay if you’re not too picky, but I’d think twice for a longer trip.

The stay was very disappointing. The bed was uncomfortable, the air conditioning did not work at night, and the Wi-Fi was extremely slow. Staff never once checked in to ask about my stay, even when I approached them. On top of that, Wi-Fi details were not provided at check-in or re-check-in. Overall, I would not recommend this place and would choose to stay elsewhere in the future.

While checking in I was greeted differently then others, like women who checked me in was more worried about the lady being checked in by other stage and said of you have a great room she wasn't disrespectful but my room was facing a hotel and my bed sheet was dirty with black spots. Pillows dead flat pancakes very uncomfortable AC very loud and hitting our bed dead on. I was only stay one day but were was my great compliment. Shouldn't we all we equal. Breakfast staff was amazing, morning desk staff looked like she was having a rough morning but my husband told a joke and made her day and she was thankful. Kindness goes a long way. Handicap parking horrible I had to walk from end of parking lot to the doors at midnight and some cars had no passes on them. Need more spots should make it a reserved with reservation. Did love the non smoking just not the elevators where constantly soaked with water and being handicapped slipping would have damage me more. Thank Goodness for my spouse.

The only thing I didn't like was the bed was so high that I had a hard time getting into it. Short people will have even a harder time.

Decent stay. I remembered my white noise machine and it was necessary. A bit noisy, between other guests and the ice machine across the hall. Stayed in 1406. Bathroom had a bit of mold and smelled a bit like urine, think it was the shower curtain. AC vent rattled like crazy when it turned on, turns out there was a loose screw in the frame that would probably fix the issue. The sheets and comforter had some stains. The carpet they used as baseboard on the window side of the room became unglued at some point and was just laying on the floor. Price and location was our priority and with the white noise machine we were good. Could use some maintenance overall. Continental breakfast was okay, nothing hot. Bagels/yogurt with a cheap toaster that can only do 4 slices at a time. Basic coffee selection, flavored creamer would've been a nice bonus.

Only stayed 1 night. No breakfast included which we knew. Thermostat didnt seem to work, the air conditioner didnt come on when we lowered the temp. Was tolerable for one night. Overall stay was okay.

This was the first time we stayed at this location. It is now out favorite! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Amber and April from the front desk checking in and out. Two young ladies and a gentleman man in the bistro were so patient and pleasant. They have all made our stay so much better. Thank you!

The staff were very pleasant and professional. The hotel was clean and well organized.

Someone at this location gave another person a copy of my room key without my permission. The person then attempted to let themselves into my room. Thankfully i had the door latch on. This is how people end up in the hospital due to people negligence

It was a decent room. Only complaint is that the WiFi was intermittently working and I wasn’t able to get the breakfast as one person was working the counter. No other complaints honestly.

Upon arriving at our room, we encountered a major issue: the toilet tank broke, and my husband was drenched with toilet water. It was an unpleasant and distressing experience. The manager on duty explained that the hotel was fully booked and could not provide us with an alternative room. Although the tank was eventually repaired, we did not receive any compensation, and no one followed up with us. This level of service falls short of what we expect from a Marriott hotel. Our anniversary weekend was unfortunately spoiled, and we will not be returning.

The staff was not very friendly at check-in; it seemed like they didn’t really want to talk. I’m not sure if it was because we are Hispanic, I don’t know. But it felt like they weren’t comfortable speaking with me. Honestly, they were not kind. At no point did they tell me we had to pay for parking, yet we were charged $18. Also, the sheets were dirty — they hadn’t been washed or changed, and the room smelled really bad.

I booked this hotel by name Marriott but it was horrible experience during the stay . No AC whole night . Irresponsible front desk , they are not at all available for any help .Dialed them multiple times in hotel for help but no one responded during the night time . I went directly to the front desk but no one was available there. We left our medicines in refrigerator and called them multiple times but no props response received from them. So we drove back to hotel for four hours and front desk didn’t respond and was not helpful for our items to to check. This is one of the worst experience in this hotel.

Overall experience was Amazing. Special thanks to MIKE at the front desk. With his expertise we were able to navigate around safely and have the time of our lives.

The hotel itself was fine - rooms were clean and comfortable and every experience with a staff member was delightful. Parking was safe, as well. However, the only reason for my total score was that they need MORE staff. The bar/restaurant area I am used to at Courtyards was only open one evening out of 3 that I was there, and they only offered drinks. The "breakfast" was of such poor quality, I went down the street each morning to a cafe. Again, this is not what I am used to at Courtyards. So, if they could just get more staff for the breakfast and bar area, this could be an excellent stay.

Mike and amber was amazing and deserve a raise for outstanding customer service. I would definitely stay again . The room were clean as well. No complaints.

This was a nice, clean hotel. The parking lot was in the back of the hotel was handy. The walk to the boardwalk from the hotel was only a couple of blocks, but doesn't feel like the best neighborhood to walk.

It was close to hard rock

Was convenient and a quality hotel for less money than staying at the casino where we had show tickets.

Proximity to th Boardwalk

Very close to the boardwalk but priced well under the casino hotels that are on the boardwalk. If you’re not in AC to gamble then this is a great choice

15 mins walk from the boardwalk but not a great area.

When I don’t have any comps at Borgata or hard rock I stay here and it’s absolutely quiet . The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. It’s 2 min away from the boardwalk (walking) very convenient.

All fine in general, except for the breakfast service. Was the worse part of this staying.

Being a Marriot hotel I booked this location hoping it would be a pleasant experience. Upon arriving, the front outside smelled of marijuana. I asked the front desk lady regarding the breakfast I paid for and they told me I had the option of either hot or cold options made to order. I was expecting some eggs or pancakes as this is a reputable hotel in a now depressing beach city. When arrived for breakfast the next day one of the employees said that the grill is closed because the other employee called out sick. All I was able to get was toast with some spread, a yogurt and coffee. This was considered seventeen each by Marriot. I would’ve had a better breakfast for that price nearby. When I asked if I can get a refund, the front desk told me to contact Hotels.com. When I inquired Hotels.com they told me to contact Marriot. They did contact them after I told them about my experience but Marriot said the manager is not in. Hotels.com said they will follow up within 72 hrs but as of now nothing yet. We left Thursday Sept 11 and today is Sept 17. Also their bathroom was a hazard as the shower curtain rod was about to fall off and could have injured myself or my family. Surely the cleaning crew would have notified front desk of this hazard but they did not. Overall I’m upset with Marriot and will now always go to an Embassy suite from now on anywhere I travel as their breakfast come included with rate. Hotels.com so far is failing regarding not following up or providing a solution

Not bad. It was good night in room. Nice breakfast coffe late, but food and meals doesn’t according my order by menu, burritos no meat , no avocado, no yogurt, small portions of fruit 1 strawberrie for 4 toasts. And very expensive breakfast. I couldn’t took breakfast which was included in my room price.

I paid extra for breakfast then came morning a staff told us that they don’t serve breakfast in the morning.

I’d give it like a 3.8 Receptionist was rude, and to get into the parking an odd but decent sized parking lot. Was able to check in early, pretty average looking hotel, wasn’t overly clean but wasn’t near dirty. Just average. Room, little below average for me. But this was a last minute book so I lowered my standards a bit. Anyways, room was ok. Simple room. Had to ask one of the employees if they could re wipe my mirror as it had smudges on it. Scratches on the wall like - moving marks or something. But bed was comfortable, pillows were nice. I loved that they had Netflix on the tv! They didn’t serve breakfast… so that truly disappointing cause that was a good reason why I booked. But besides that the location is GREAT! Maybe 3 minute walk to the beach/boardwalk, can see it from the rooms & it’s close to the activists like arcade, Ferris wheel. All in all, if you want a quick trip to the beach, this place is cool.

The room was clean with a confortable bed. The shower and amentities were great. The coffee maker had to be moved from it's spot in order to be plugged in which was a minor inconvenience. I would not recommend eating at the onsite bistro for breakfast. We ordered the same thing the second morning and a to go box was brought to the table with sunny side up eggs thrown in a box a long with everything else. Very odd.
