Hyatt House Charlotte Airport

There were shuttle from the airport to the location available, like they mentioned. There were no breakfast provided like they mentioned. The room was a little dusty.

The staff were amazing. The room was clean and the breakfast was pretty good. They need to do some renovations in the hallways and fix the broken elevator. Walking through the halls did not make the place look very desirable to stay at with the stained and non vacuumed carpet, scratched and stained walls.

Not far from airport and the provide a shuttle for free between 8 an-10pm. Room was clean and it was quiet. They are doing renovations on the building but I didn’t really hear anything.

When I arrived, I discovered the hotel was under full renovation. The main entrance was blocked by a van and a dumpster, painting was in progress, and guests were directed to use a side door. Inside, large sections of the property were closed off, and none of the advertised amenities, including the pool and breakfast, were available. The pool looked as though it had not been used in years, the microwave in the room was rusted, and the front desk confirmed that all amenities were shut down due to construction. The condition of the hotel did not match what was advertised on the booking site. Guests should be clearly informed of the renovation before booking.

The entire property is currently under construction. Most recently, the rooms, are still dusty from the renovation dust. Pool not open. Entire patio currently having the concrete prepped by sanding with an angle grinder and prepped to have new stone laid down. Entire lobby shut down and using an employee lounge as a check-in office. No cart available. No ice available. Marriott should have waited to rent any rooms until all property renovations were done.

I picked the hotel for the pool and bar and when we got here- found out both were not working/open. We should have been informed of this prior to today so I could have made other arrangements. At the least, the price should be discounted as the hotel does not offer what was stated.

Key cards for entrance are broke around the property therefore anyone can enter the property. My daughter and I was coming back from the store and it’s looks as homeless people may be sleeping in the stairwell.

Did not stay here. Landed at Charlotte NC airport, called for hotel shuttle to come pick me up. Was told shuttle driver had a personal problem so no shuttle service available! They reason I chose this hotel was for convenience of 24 hour shuttle. It was late night I asked for a refund and was told yes I would be refunded. Had to search tor another hotel which was very inconvenient. Single 77 year old lady late at night in an airport with no transportation. Not a pleasant experience. I chose this hotel due to shuttle service ! I was. Very upset. They should have offere me another way to get to their hotel

The property is well located; just a short drive to major roads and a quick ride to central down town Charlotte. We like Charlotte! This Hyatt House location is showing wear on carpets and floors thru hallways. One elevator was broken. Luckily the one that worked was closer to our room. Rooms were pretty nice. Definitely spacious. Beds too soft, but overall everything was clean and inky showing minor wear inside room. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was plentiful & once again friendly, unobtrusive staff, clean sitting area.

Parking was a little confusing hotel construction/renovation had Main entrance and lobby blocked off, but clerk was very friendly and I was pleasantly surprised/impressed by how nice our room was. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Horrible stay at this Location 4920 South Tryon. Stayed in Room 302 and was bit by bed bugs. Told management and even showed video. I was told the problem would be resolved that never happened. I was told I would be credited in points for my stay and it would take 24 hours. Its been 10 days still nothing. The manager apologized and the proceeded to tell me that she was sorry and that this location would soon be a home 2 home suites or something soon and that it would be better then. I doubt that I would come back this situation hasnt been fixed.

The room was dirty and the ceiling tiles are brown from water leaks. We did not have washcloths or lights in the bathroom shower/toliet. Went to the front desk to adk for washcloths and was told they had none because laundry was not done. Asked if they had light bulbs for the bathroom and they said they had none. Good thing we were only there for a few hours before our flight. Would not stay here again.

Public corridors in a very poor state of repair. Filthy ripped carpets and walls dirty and damaged. Room much better but a bit worn and cleanliness of bathroom questionable. Staff great. Just needs tlc, and would be great.

Roaches, room was infested with roaches!

Hotel is renovating so is not front desk or clear name to be able to see it bathroom was dirty someone use it and didn’t flush it

Hotel carpet in halls was torn and dirty, as well as popping up all over. The main elevator was out of order, so I had to carry my bag around the entire building and use the back elevator during my stay. The door to the back parking lot was supposed to be locked with entry by room key, however the door was always open, as the key swipe was ripped out of the wall on both sides. This made anyone be able to access the property through a backdoor that was not secure. The TVs were on in both rooms when I arrived, which was odd. There was no way to access a guide on the living room TV, or any access to Smart TV apps to use Netflix etc in either room. When I turned on the light later that night the kitchen was covered in cockroaches who all scurried at the light going on. This was near where my luggage was and shoes which I immediately shook out and put up high. This was probably why the TVs were left on to have constant light in the rooms. With the presence of roaches I did not use anything in the kitchen. It seriously grossed me out and made me not want to spend the night, even in a suite.

The pictures you put up compared to the actual state of this place is completely and utterly false advertisement. The actual inside of the room was actually decent. The furniture and bed seem pretty new. Parts of the hotel are under construction so there’s constant noise since I’ve been here. I needed to iron my suit, but the iron was missing. Luckily the front desk brought me one pretty quickly. I would NEVER stay here again for this price. I will say on the positive side the staff (I have only met 2) are very nice and friendly. My biggest gripe is with the state of the place. I had to walk around the hotel to find the lobby and ruined my new shoes in the mud. This place looks nothing like the pictures. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!

Overall the stay was good however the sofa bed was not clean. When opening the sofa bed there were stains on the mattress and the sheet was dirty. Someone’s ear buds were also in it so you can tell it hasn’t been cleaned

We were there only for a very short stay because of missing a flight at CLT. It appears that the common areas are currently under renovation, but the staff was great and the room was very nice. Would stay here again if ever back in Charlotte.

The renovations are pretty good, as far as the rooms., I will say having the kitchenette was really nice, but it should have been some utensils and other items to go with it, the living room area with let out couch was nice, and having a separate bedroom was awesome, but people should know in advance so that there is No Breakfast or Pool, so people can have the option to want to stay there without those Amenities!!

I loved the set up of the room, the amenities within the property and I would definitely stay here again. This gave me a bit of breathing room from city center which I liked. I will always book a hotel with a shuttle to and from airport. I love a complimentary breakfast option. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly.

A/C wasn't cold given it was 80 degrees outside. The amenities were fine. I'm sure it'll be better once the renovations are complete.

I absolutely loved the room. It felt like I was in an 1 bedroom apartment with nice modern appliances. I didn't like the condition of the hallways & the distance to get to the elevator. Buti do understand they were renovating.

We booked a larger room and for the price and location, it was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful! They made the stay easier to handle. The room only half finished! We were told there was no land line in the room yet. Fine. However, that was not the only thing the room was missing. Not way to sit but the couch and beds, for a bigger room with more people to sleep, there should have been seating. No conditioner, no shower curtains. No trash can in the main room/kitchen. A few bits of metal or like these tack things randomly in the carpet. The room was clean, otherwise!! Just looked roughly thrown together, smelling of chemicals and paint, and just really rushed. Bare minimum in room but no way to relax and sit down. Seriously. We all had to sit on the floor around the couch to eat dinner. Again, staff was great and I understand renovations, but this room should NOT have been used yet. Half the switches and outlets didn’t work either! Had there been a landline and we weren’t so understanding, we would have complained to staff. Overall stay was fine! Just do better when listing rooms that aren’t even finished yet! Had the room been more put together and not as chemical smelling, it wouldn’t have been full stars across the board! Again- staff was great!! Issue was with the actual room!!

Hotel is currently under renovation (didn’t know when I booked) hence the somewhat lower rate. No shampoo/conditioner in room, not a big deal, was able to get it from the front desk. No coffee or breakfast due to renovations which isn’t great. Fence along the parking area has been knocked over and the neighborhood didn’t seem fantastic. The room itself was clean, spacious, and no complaints there. Would stay again but only after they finish renovations, would add that they should repair the fencing and maybe put some cameras up outside to beef up security.

Very clean rooms. Still working on the front entrance but was still very easy to find the front desk.

Checked in and felt welcomed immediately! I could tell the employees genuinely enjoyed their positions. Great experience!!

Room was not clean female desk clerk was rude. New owners auditor was nice.paid for breakfast in booking, this service was not provided.

The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how my stay was going every time I walked in the door. They also were able to recommend places to get any type of meal that I needed as well. One of the staff upon arrival name Tyrese was stellar in customer service, he also engaged with other hotel guest as well in a friendly demeanor when having conversation. Dr.Gonzalez

Overall experience was a 10 out of 10! The hotel is under renovation so the common areas are covered up but the room was great ! Clean, spacious and renovated. The staff was exceptional! Talking about hospitality! Everyone was pleasant and welcoming. Even with the renovation security was always present to add that extra level of security. Staff was attentive and truly pleasant to be around. I would highly recommend this hotel

Elevators not working and staff was not very helpful. Had a reservation and they sold the room i had at check in. Very frustrating.

Tremendous staff working hard to accommodate a key fiasco. the programmed keys rarely worked necessitating two and at times three returns to the desk. Often an employee had to return with guests in our party to try the doors which still didn't work. Even the emergency 911 key couldn't open the door. Very unacceptable and probably dangerous. Often we were forced to leave doors open when leaving to guarantee access to our property or leave a guest behind. Shame on you Hyatt. I thought the Pritzker properties were better managed at the corporate level. You left your hotel employees and property manager to fend for themselves. Researching legal avenues to address this situation.

1/9/24 I called ahead to be sure the shuttles from the airport were running. I was told they ran until 10pm. Made sure before I booked the hotel for my 70 year old mother who does not know how to use uber. Her flight was canceled and she was stranded at the airport. WITHOUT HER LUGGAGE. And she was alone.She arrived at the shuttle waiting area about 8:30pm. She waited until about 9pm and called me. After that point the hotel would not answer the phone. Finaly after 10pm the hotel answered. I said my mother is waiting in the snow for the shuttle and it never came. The women replied "we are booked" I let her know I already had a reservation online and gave her my name. She answered "we are booked" AND HUNG UP. Did she look up my name? They never answered the phone again. My mom was stranded at the airport and wasn't allowed back into the main waiting area where she could get food and sit somewhere more comfortable. At this point I called expedia to make sure I wasn't charged. Expedia was adamant I had a reservation and that I could not be refused a room. Expedia tried to call the hotel and again there was no answer. Even if they did...at this point there were no shuttles running. We had a reservation the entire time and one employee refused to help us. She would not answer the phone and when she did she refused to really look up my name or give any help at all. It was such a sickening and helpless feeling knowing my mother was stuck there cold, hungry and tired. Shame on you.

Very friendly staff. Room was fine for our needs. Parking area safe, convenient.

Great hotel with food in walking distance

The area was well kept, even pretty, but I don't think it is in a very good area of town, and if you want to leave the hotel to go anywhere you *have* to take a car- there are no sidewalks anywhere and the hotel is on and intersects with busy highways and streets.

Our only complaint was that the refrigerator was missing from our room but we really didn’t need it so we didn’t ask to change rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and staff was pleasant and friendly every time we encountered them. It was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but was a very quick drive to get there. It took us less than 15 min to get to the convention center every day and then again back to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Charlotte.

Nice suite room, pet friendly, 5 minutes to a nice strip with breweries and restaurants, kind and friendly staff, area right around the hotel doesn’t feel safe, check out is noon which is nice. Overall good stay.

Overall it was a great stay. Staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in the door. The complementary breakfast was nice. The only negative is our fridge was unplugged when we got to the room and we had leftovers we needed to put in it. Other than that, we will definitely stay here again

We booked because of the airport shuttle, breakfast, and bar. The shuttle wasn't running so we had an extra $75 in Uber costs. The breakfast didn't open before we left, the bar was closed before 9pm. Could have stayed closer and cheaper.

I liked that every where we wanted to go was near by. I didn't like the breakfast selection. Last day of stay, a roach was crawling on one of the dirty towels. I took a picture to show Manager, but instead I just told the front desk clerk. I feel as if I should've gotten something taken off of the price of my room. Swimming pool was closed also and I don't remember seeing that on the websites

Sky Suites has great potential. Lobby area is very nice and our room was remodeled, clean and spacious. However they are in the process of remodeling and we were awaken at 8:30 on Sunday morning by construction workers remodeling the room above us. There were huge holes in the glass windows outside on the first floor that made it look abandoned. All doors required key cards which did make us feel safe. Breakfast was minimal but the waffles were delicious! This will be a fabulous place when completed.

They advertise a breakfast. This was a sad experience..

Stayed 2 days..my room was not cleaned and i had to go get new clean bath towels from check-in counter. Breakfast was just ok..guy who was putting out breakfast didnt keep it ..he was sitting down and stuff was empty, when asking him for more he said im not putting out anything else into later.. the next day i went there for breakfast a lady was keeping up with everything and had it all full..as soon as something got empty she filled it right back up. The lady was great but the guy seemed to not care. Overall it was a decent hotel i loved it had 2 bedrooms. Out of all the Hyatt Hotels i have been to i must say this hotel does them no justice. If this is your first Hyatt Hotel you would probably not want to go too anymore.
