Key cards did not work at the door, had to be replaced at front desk. EV charging on site not as advertised - Tesla chargers out of service, some off brand chargers installed that didn't work properly. Room a little tired.

Room is very spacious with one king bed and a sofa bed. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, oven and diswasher. A lot of free parking with electric car charging station. Check-in 3pm to 2am. Check-out 12pm Free breakfast 6am-9am on weekdays Pool 10am-10pm and Gym 24h/7 Walking distance to Costco and other restaurants. Downside: Extra blanket in the closet was old and the fan is loud during the night.

I like the layout of the suite with the separate bedroom. Seems overall like it was recently renovated - modern design and clean, and friendly staff. Enjoyed the pool (I believe it is a salt water poo which is nice, not the chlorine or chemical-heavy typical pools). My only criticisms are 1) the toilet seat in our room would not stay up (the flush handle blocks the seat from going back further....) and 2) the breakfast sausage was hit or miss. Sausage links the first night were tasty; the sausage patties the 3rd night were dry and not good. 3) a couple years ago the EV chargers were free and actually worked; I didn't bother trying this time as half were bagged indicating they were broken, and last time I stayed at the Courtyard next door and tried these shared EV chargers, it was a HUGE pain to get it activated - had to call the charger company, cut power to the charger to reboot them....add credit to my account and then call to get a refund of any unused amount...not worth the hassle, and high price, especially when there are Tesla Superchargers less than a mile away.

We didn’t spend much time at this hotel because it was a short trip and jammed with activities. Our stay was excellent. The hotel is immaculately kept. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety and the coffee was hot. The breakfast area was kept very clean. The pool was a nice temperature and pool area very clean as well. The beds were cozy. We were shocked at how quiet this hotel was considering its proximity to the 407. There was next to no traffic noise.

The staff were all SUPER courteous and helpful. Always a smile and thank you and welcoming feeling. My room was as expected clean and stocked with all I needed for my short stay. The big bonus was breakfast every morning with fresh hot coffee and Wednesday night there was a light refreshments and appetizers for free. This is was sooooo appreciated and helped me start my day and avoid going out for quick bites. The property was clean and didnt look like there was any construction or renovations but there were signs indicating it was under renovations. The pool and gym were clean and well stocked. I would 100% recommend this property and wouldnt hesitate to book again when i am in Canada.

I stayed 8 nights at Homewood Suites Markham. For the most part, the hotel was comfortable and the staff were polite. However, on the last night of my stay I woke up with multiple bites on my arms and legs. This was very upsetting, especially after a long stay. I have photos of the bites and I reported the issue after checking out so the hotel can inspect the room. I hope management takes this seriously, because otherwise the stay would have been fine.

Overall our stay was great and will be back next year! Negatives I want to point out were some pink mold on shower grout, weird unpleasant smell from one of the bedroom air conditioning units(we had a 2 bedroom suite) and beds could be more comfortable. The good things were very well kept hotel recently renovated, smelled wonderful except room AC, indoor pool, great staff, great breakfast, and good location. Really was one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

Room was not completely cleaned upon checking in. Used washcloth hanging behind the bathroom door, Trash cans in kitchen were not emptied- they were filled with previous guests trash. Made me question if the bed sheets were actually changed over. Bed pillows were limp and old, different sizes very uncomfortable. Shower door was broken/ did not close properly. Garbage littered around the right side of building . High police presence circling around parking lot on the first night we were there. Not impressed and could not recommend this hotel.

This was our second time staying here and we'll be back. The hotel is conveniently located near Costco, Longo's grocery store, LCBO, and about a 10 minute drive from the Keg, Jack Astor's, Moxie's. The hotel itself is clean and quiet, even with Highway 407 nearby. Our 1-bedroom suite was spacious and I'm glad that this suite had coat hooks as our last one didn't. A boot tray might be needed in the winter. The air conditioner/ heat unit can be noisy, but we got used to it. Breakfast included 2 hot meats (one pork, one non-pork), although the smoked meats tended to be dry. Eggs, potatoes (tater tots, hashbrowns), toast (bonus: I love that they had orange marmalade), cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt. On Wed evening, there's soup, salad, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip. It was great to have a kitchen in our suite. I do wish we'd had a kettle, but hot water was available downstairs, or sometimes I boiled water in a pot on the stove. There is a coffee maker, but hubby said he much preferred the coffee downstairs over the in-room coffee. Front desk was great at checking up on how our stay was going, and great at accommodating requests, including my need for feather-free bedding. Housekeeper was great as well.

The lobby was clean and modern, creating a great first impression. We stayed in a spacious two-bedroom suite that comfortably fit our group of five. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, and the kitchen and living room—located in the center of the suite—made it feel like a true home away from home. Excellent hot breakfast -- the usual suspects (eggs and meaty things), but with add-ons like tortillas, salsa, crema, and pickled jalapenos. For the vegans, chia seed pudding with oat milk! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only drawback was that the room was a little tired, with a few dings and scrapes.

We were missinformed about the pet fee prior to booking. In an email I had mentioned that we have wiener dogs that would like to stay with us and the hotel emailed us that it will be a small fee of $75. What we didn’t know is that they ended up charging $75/per dog plus tax. My moms 2 wiener dogs even slept in their own playpen she brought with her out of respect. I would have never booked a $233 room if I knew that they would charge an additional $169.50 for two dogs… after talking to the manager that their email clearly didn’t state that this $75 is per dog I was asking for a reimbursement for one dog, but the manager denied my request. Cannot recommend this hotel and poor customer service

The staff here are exceptional. They are understanding and accommodating to whatever my stay required - from multiple extensions, to room swapping (back and forth when I did not feel comfortable), they handled it with care and gave me respect of my needs (as I am currently with a mobility ailment. The best and worth every moment. Thank you team!

All went ok except I told front Desk one remote did not work. They took a new one to my daughter’s room and never followed up as to who called for the remote. The rooms were booked together w a request to be close or adjacent. We were not even on the same floor.

Very clean and staff were helpful. Breakfast was good with fresh fruits. Every Wednesday 5pm to 7pm serves happy hour food which was a nice surprise. Walking distance to restaurants and Costco. Bus number 24 stops right in front of the hotel on Woodbine Blvd.

I love the text option. I could ask anything from a text and was replied to right away. Location was easy to access downtown Toronto as well as the zoo which is on the other side. Staff was great, room very big and clean, pool very nice. I would definitely stay again.
