We have stayed at this hotel in the past and the quality of the facility has really gone down. The bathroom door in our room appeared to have been warped, or maybe it was the floor, but the door was very difficult to close. The pool and the hot tub area were very dirty and look like they have not been cleaned in a very long time. The fans in the pool area were full of dirt and dust and the handicap lift to assist people into the pool was rusted and had loose wiring. I would be hesitant to use the lift for one of my family members. The front desk associates were very nice and our check in was prompt and professional. We really like the location of this hotel and probably would give it a try again next year for our annual ski trip. Hopefully they will have cleaned things up a bit.

Staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and the beds provided a good sleep. Breakfast was very good. The only downside was the amount of chlorine in the pool, made it difficult to swim.

Room was clean and suite was nice. However pool area needs attention. Ceiling fans are filthy with black dust that is hanging off in some spots. Rusted rods to the pipes and the hot tub water was a bit yellow.

Stayed 2 nights w my husband to ski. Modern, clean, fantastic breakfast included. Centrally located for skiing. 20 min from Highlands and 20 min Boyne Falls. Offered complimentary limo downtown and to casino . Would stay again.

The hot tub is amazing but the water pressure on the fifth floor was not too good other than that everything was good especially the limo driver take you where ever you want to go within reason thanks again will come again

I stayed three nights. This property is highly overpriced. It is run down and not very clean. The carpets in the common areas are worn and the elevator needs to be cleaned. Same for the room. The carpeting was old and stained. There were broken tiles in the bathroom and there was black mildew where the tiles met the tub. The room was near the elevator so somewhat noisy, and the housekeeping staff had loud conversations right outside the door. They also cleaned the ice machine early one morning which was disruptive. The breakfast was decent. Two very ambitious people kept it stocked and there were plenty of food options. The dining area was small so getting a table was problematic. The front desk staff seemed overly casual and not very professional. I appreciated having free water bottles available in the lobby.

We had a presidential suite and during our stay the room was not completely cleaned. There was food left in the fridge from the previous guests. The room was the second nicest in the building but the shower in larger bathroom did not have working light. Toilet was also dirty.

The hotel needs some maintenance. The toilet ran, the tub drained very slowly and there is mold in the bathroom. The fitted mattress cover and sheet didn't fit the king bed and kept coming off. The breakfast was excellent.

We stayed in a king, jet tub with extra living space and balcony for 7 days. The bed was comfortable, and bedding was clean; and the larger refrigerator was nice. However, the jet tub was filthy, rust flakes came through all the jets. The shower had very little water pressure and we had to pick between cold or scalding most of the time. There were little broken (what I think were carpet staples) coming through the carpet in several areas that were big enough to poke our feet. And the pool area needs a real cleaning, the fans for example were caked with dust and dirt and gunk hanging over the pool. For the price point, I’d expect better.

The room was beautiful with a great view. It was very clean and spacious. The jacuzzi tub was clean and there was plenty of hot water. I have to say I found the fake fireplace tacky, though. Also, for the price of the room, I would expect better toilet paper and kleenex--it was the worst I've ever had to use.

Overall, this place was pretty good. The room was big, nice view, nice balcony, nice bed, nice TV, nice couch, nice fridge... BUT -- the shower didn't work well (they came to fix it but it still lost pressure when turning it to hot water), there was a fait, but incessant digital beeping (!! it never stopped!) coming from the headboard, the jetted bathtub worked well but was just gross (a brown ring appeared after each bath, even though we were clean when we got it; we kept trying to wipe off the brown oily stuff, but it reappeared every time; see the pic of the tub and the cloth we used to wipe off the gunk). In general, this hotel could be great! But there needs to be more attention paid to cleanliness and maintenance. And fix that beeping!!

This hotel is beautiful and is in a great area. The suite was very spacious with a full size fridge, microwave and even a fireplace! I really appreciated that as we had went through a hard rain so we were cold and damp. The king size bed was really comfortable and overall the room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely return when visiting Petosky again. Also the breakfast was very tasty.

The day we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly fella at the desk. He was very friendly and offered some great suggestions and tips for our stay in the area. Passed several employees in the hotel throughout the couple days and they were all so friendly. A sweet gal in the elevator, that was an employee, made sure our room and everything was ok. We really appreciated that everyone went out of their way to make it a wonderful stay! Our view was spectacular! Would definitely stay again

The front desk clerk, "Ronnie" was very helpful and friendly. He helped us sign into the rewards program, he offered us a free limo ride to up town dinning and even offered us free play coupons for the casino. Room was very neat and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for our cedar point trip on Labor Day weekend. It was a great experience. The staff was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. The evening shift lady who checked us in was very nice, professional and hardworking. The suites we stayed in was spacious and modern. Rooms are well insulated & quiet. kids enjoyed the pool a lot. The outdoor fireplace was amazing. There is always fresh coffee available in the lobby and dining area. The free continental buffet breakfast was great with a lot of variety. The customer service is awesome! The front desk staff are always in a great mood and willing to help out. Housekeeping is also phenomenal! We would definitely stay here again.

Overall the stay was ok. Some things were outdated. Front desk service could have been better, checkin was good. Went to grab waters but front desk attendant was just talking to friends and not paying attention. No one at the front when leaving, and no direction on what to do with keys.

I'm unable to completely answer the survey, because due to no fault of the staff at the hotel there was a major power outage in the area from Ice storm. However I'm just going to give a shout out to the staff, under this very devastating and difficult condition and they were clearly stressed to their maximum, they maintained a positive attitude and use the system to make sure that customers were treated fairly. When we were cold at night, they walked up five flights of stairs to bring us extra blankets. Well it was hard to see completely, we were able to see that the hotel was very clean and we were very happy to have a safe place to stay during this epic ice storm in Northern michigan.

Our fire alarm went off, low battery chirp, all night. When telling staff in the am, we didn’t even get as much as a sorry, just a “I’ll let them know.” Hopefully they fixed it for the next guest. A room here is way too expensive to have to deal with non-accommodating staff and unsafe fire safety for all guests.

There was nothing unique. The breakfast was ok. The staff were nice. But it was very depressing with gray colored walls, worn carpet, on a busy highway with bright lights and neon framing the hotel. I guess fine if you are on a business trip but we were there for a vacation and it was definitely not cheap or in a good location.

First I'll point out the good. The front desk staff was friendly and the shuttle driver was awesome. Unfortunately the pool should have been closed. It was totally out of balance and dirty. The water was so cloudy you could barely see bottom and smell in the room burned your eyes and nose. I wouldn't let my kids swim in it which was a huge disappointment. The breakfast was really bad even for a free hotel breakfast. The phone in our room didn't work and when I let the front desk know, they said they already knew. She said there's a few rooms that have phones that don't work. That seems like something you should let your guests know.
