The Perry was a perfect stay….5 star rate for 3 star price….breakfasts were very good with many choices…ate at Noggin twice and food & service were excellent. Nice added: popcorn while we waited for meal. Accomodation including parking were all very good! Can’t wait till next time in area to book this hotel!

We brought our bikes on our vacation and it was very nice that the hotel would store them. The room was lovely; somehow we got an upgrade which was a nice surprise. The garden was a beautiful place to watch the evening sunsets. The wait staff for breakfast were amazing, friendly and top notch. When we first arrived at the hotel we chose to stay close and eat dinner downstairs at the Pub. There was one waitress that did not live up to the usual standards of the hotel. It left a poor first impression, but the rest of our stay was amazing!

The hotel is amazing! Such a cool location. It’s beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived after skiing. We had considered eating somewhere else in town but ended up staying and having dinner and drinks at the Noggin Room. The beds were so comfortable!! We were also given a free breakfast and it was also delicious. Love this place!

The property has a unique architecture that we like. The panoramic views of the bay from the dining hall were gorgeous especially after the snow fall. The noggin pup made you feel like you were in a speak easy.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. The people at check in were very nice and knowledgeable. The room was beautiful. We were on the fourth floor with perfect view of the water and their beautiful gardens from our bakcony. The hotels restraunts were very good and reasonably priced. Walkjng distance to shopping and restraunts. Will go back here anytime I am in Petoskey

The Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Hotel was very clean. The two restaurants we ate at inside the hotel were very good. The view from the hotel looking out at the bay was just awesome. Can’t say enough about this hotel 5 stars all the way.

The property was in a great, walkable area close to restaurants and shopping, and it also had an amazing view. The food was great also. The only issue we had was one of the several days we stayed there, housekeeping dumped our new set of clean towels on the bed instead of hanging them in the bathroom like they had every other day. We know this was done intentionally because they had left a card about reusing towels on top of the pile. Other than that annoyance (since we were on vacation) it was a wonderful place to stay!

The room was nice. The only complaint is we didn’t have any air conditioning. It was 82 degrees and very hard to sleep. I called the front desk and they said it was because of the humidity. Staff was helpful and nice otherwise.

It is an historic hotel so expect to hear your neighbors. The room has no individual temperature controls so the first night we spent sweating. We mentioned this to the front desk and they did turn the heat down. We were in room 134 and there is no wifi available. We pointed this out to the front desk several times and each time they politely said they would have someone look into it but we never did get any wifi during our stay. The breakfast is wonderful with terrific service. Great location in the downtown with the ability to walk to stores and restaurants from the hotel.

Road Trip around Michigan, stayed in 3-4 different hotels and by far this was the best hotel experience. Boutique style hotel, well taken care, close to everything, beautiful facilities. But the best was the staff. I forgot a recently purchased pair of paints, called the hotel and they promptly fedex it to me in a matter of days. My dad bought 2 lovely t-shirts on their gift shop. He loved it so much, but took the wrong size home. He was so disappointed, I called the hotel and asked if they could help me surprising my dad. Ric (I am note sure If I am spelling his name right), was so helpful and went above and beyond, helped me find the exactly t-shirts for my dad, and will fedex to me. My dad will be so happy. I plan to surprise him for Chrstimas. I wish other hotel staff were like this one. So personal and caring. One of the best experiences I had. If you every go to Petoskey, you will have no regrets staying there. Remember to have breakfast at the restaurant.

The rooms shown on the website are definitely NOT like the one I stayed in. I arrived on a Sunday evening at 8:00pm. I was given a room on the lower level, overlooking the parking lot, with steps and no elevator. Maybe the receptionist gentleman could have shown me the way, but just said twice, 'it's around the corner, four doors down'. He omitted the stairs. In this hotel with 79 rooms, on a Sunday night, was there not any other room that could have worked? The room was not able to connect to wifi. I asked the receptionist twice and he said...'it's always worked, I'll let the tech person know'. The morning receptionist gentleman was very unfriendly as was the maî tre d in the breakfast area. This was totally an unpleasant experience and I would never return.

We had a nice stay. Place is very $$$ as we had to come and stay for 6 nights for a family thing (oy). Our room did not have consistent interest enough to be usable and the people at the front desk changed our room! Extremely accommodating and consistently kind staff dining staff as well. We do not know why we were charged $14 for a breakfast when we used a voucher every day, never ordered more than sides and were told every morning “you have a zero balance”.

The service was excellent and the hotel was beautiful. We didn’t have great weather during our stay but the hotel made up for some of the sights we missed. We had a situation where we booked for two but the hotel had the reservation for one person and so we were not given an additional voucher for breakfast, but this was corrected at checkout in a very professional manner. We will be back!!

We stayed for a wedding at The Perry. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast wait staff were the same who served us at the reception - outstanding. It snowed all day Saturday, the next morning, staff had wiped the car windshields and back windows that were parked in the parking lots. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Beautiful views of the bay - I am sure in the summer and fall the same can be said. Thank you Perry for an amazing wedding weekend.

This is our fifth visit to the Perry Hotel in the last three years. The location is fantastic conveniently walkable to downtown restaurants and shops. The view over the marina, pier and bay from the high perch of the hotel is superb, don’t miss the great sunsets on the bay from the outside garden or your balcony! The morning breakfast room has these same great views with its huge windows looking out over the bay. The $25 breakfast coupon per room pays mostly for your breakfasts each morning, an especially nice perk. Wait staff is super friendly and give fantastic service as do all staff at the hotel. Looking forward to our sixth visit!

We like the hotel's history and location in the historical downtown of Petoskey. The hotel is beautiful with gorgeous lake views. The desk clerk is very welcoming and knowledgeable of the town"s and hotel's history. We also chose thus location as it is in the middle of two ski areas: Boyne Mountain and Highlands.

If you’re traveling to beautiful Petoskey spend the extra money and stay a night or two at the Perry. Classic and well maintained, the Perry has you in walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and the glorious Petoskey waterfront. Have stayed there several times and always want to go back. While I love the area of the Perry Hotel, I do find it to be a bit overpriced for what is included. The rooms are small and there is not much to the property. They do give each guest a $12.50 breakfast pass, but there are limited vegetarian and vegan options. Overall, good location and views, but not worth price.
