Positioned beautifully on the shore of Lake Superior. The view from our balcony was spectacular. Artesian well supplies the water for drinking, the pool (which was clean, warm, and large enough for laps) and showering. Just a wonderful hotel. Oh, great breakfast too.

room is outdated and very noisy next to pool, alos the smell from pool chlorine was bad, I don't think it would be safe for someone with breathing problems. Alarm clock didnot work, I would say it hadn't worked for awhile. Heating and airconditioner very noisy also had a airpurifyrer in room which was very noisy and didn;t work very well. overall was very dissattisfied with room. not worth the money they charge

The shower side if the bathroom door looked like black mold was on it, The vanity faucet leaked water onto the counter, the bathroom door rubbed on the tile floor in the shower side, paint chipping off walls by the beds. and the toilets are way too tight to the wall that so much so that you are actually rubbing up against the wall. Now outside the east exterior stair stringer is rotten to the core, I took pictures in case anyone want proof. be careful. We had booked for 2 nights and after the first night we tried to check out and were told that because we went thru a booking agency they could not refund the 2nd night. So we ended up paying over $600.00 for one night .

Hair on shower walls Froome previous guest(S). Some ugly-looking repairs on the walls. Room coffee tastes bad. Area outside could be beautiful. However there is trash all over. And the constant stream of highway noise wouldn't be nice to enjoy the outside anyway. Good thing I'm not here for vacation.

Was another great stay here! This made our 3rd time staying here. Would recommend asking guests to make sure not to let doors just slam shut. Sounded like the building was going to fall down. Was so bad the pictures on the walls rattled. Got especially bad when multiple doors were all slamming about the same time at about 7/8am.

The staff here was very attentive, both at check in and in the morning. We particularly noticed their attention to detail in keeping things fresh full; the 24 hour tea service had 6 nice full boxes of tea available. I woke up early to see sunrise and had fresh, hot and actually good coffee. A bit later we went to check the breakfast and were pleasantly surprised that they actually had a real commercial kitchen to prepare their breakfast; it wasn’t coming out of a dingy laundry room like some places try to pull off! We noticed 3 staff that all said “good morning,” they were keeping the breakfast stocked and the cafe tables cleaned promptly. It was surprisingly refreshing to see hospitality for what usually seems to be an afterthought. And the food was done well; the OJ was actually delicious…we were just surprised because we usually never partake in a hotel breakfast because so many are so poorly executed. Thank you for doing it well! Also, this place had nice up-north decor and was particularly clean and tidy. We also enjoyed a nice hot tub after a long day of traveling around. We would definitely stay here again if we’re ever up that way again.

We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was fast and easy and the hotel is in a great location right on the lake. Because it is so close to the water the room was slightly musty. The bonfire by the water was great. The Mexican restaurant next door was also very good.

Room was nice, clean,warm. The view of the lake was great; it being winter , couldn't tell much about the property but it seemed like a good location. Not in town so had to go about 5-10 minutes to get to a store. When I booked I didn't know the rooms had outside entrances and one had to go outside to get to the main lobby for breakfast,pool, fitness ctr--luckily the weather was not bad Staff that I interacted with were pleasant and helpful.

Our room didn't have an inside access to the swimming pool which was very disappointing. Toilets sat too low making them harder to get back up from. There were only 2 places to hang towels in the bathroom. Please install more towel holders in your bathrooms. Scrambled eggs container was empty as was pancake maker and it took 10 to 15 minutes before they were refilled.

Our room was comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious. We have been traveling for two weeks and have stayed in many hotels along the way. We commented that the breakfast we had here was the best we’ve had. The location to our stop to visit the Apostle Islands was great and the price very reasonable.

Nice location. We stayed for two nights. Our room looked out into the bay. A nice breakfast was included. My only complaint would be that the some of the hot food (the sausage) wasn’t very hot and we arrived at the start of serving. The breakfast area was very nice. There were also tables outside. My husband enjoyed the Starbucks coffee that was available anytime. Our first night was on a Saturday. I woke up at 2:30 am to the sound of someone walking around in the room above. The floor was squeaky which was the main problem. I would recommend having earplugs available. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Great location to Bayfield and the smaller communities. I did the Grand tour of the Apostle Island out of Bayfield and kayaking out of Cornucopia. It was 20-25 miles to travel from the Quality Inn making it really convenient. The breakfast was great! I liked that they had both a waffle maker and pancake maker available. It was the first time I saw a pancake maker at a hotel. They also had sausage and gravy, eggs, potatoes, and sausage along with fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. There were many choices for breakfast. The hotel gave a 10% off coupon for the Mexican restaurant next door. It was nice that they were right along the lake. I saw people fishing, eating outside at the picnic tables, and just relaxing in the Adirondack chairs. The bed was comfortable and there were a couple choices of pillows. The tub could use a "snake" clean out because the water did not drain adequately when showering. I imagine there was hair build up in the drain/pipes. Also, the AC did not have an auto setting so it ran continuously making it really noisy when sleeping. These are the only reasons that I did not indicate excellent for my stay. Otherwise, it was great! I would definitely stay there, again.
