Nice location right off of I-20. New steakhouse opening right next door. Room on 3rd floor had suffered water infiltration and the popcorn ceiling had peeled off in places. The hotel pool was filled in with dirt, probably to cut expenses.

The hotel was clean. There were repairs that should be made in the room we stayed in. The printer did not work in the business center. We will likely be back.

Rooms not cleaned throughly ( hair ok shower wall, empty 2 liter of soda in the fridge, yellow on back of toilet behind seat. 1 ice machine and it didn’t work, both side doors locks were broken and opened without needing a key card. Beds were hard as a rock.

Breakfast could have been better. The side door was broken so it was held open with a rock because the key would not open it.

Room was humid and smelly. Definitely can use an upgrade, primarily new carpeting. Pool was filled in with sand/dirt, such a disappointment. It served the purpose but will not return because there are other options in the area.

Checking in was great! No ice! Supposedly they were supposed to get ice but never came. Don’t think they will get machine fixed anytime soon. Room was mostly clean unless you looked behind the furniture in the corners. They was a large bug but was quick and we couldn’t catch it. This is an older building! Carpet in hallway was coming up and tripping you. The worst part was the breakfast was worse than usual! Coffee was terrible. They did have yogurt in containers. I did not eat there.

The photos are false . Reserved hotel for the pool and when checked in the pool was filled in with dirt. The mgr refused to refund my money even for the days we didn’t stay because we checked out the next day. Horrible experience over all

The hotel was undergoing drastic construction throughout the whole hotel, and specifically on floor 2, on which we stayed. We were in town for a wedding and ended up staying in a construction zone. With dust, dirt, and paint fumes throughout our whole stay, it was very unpleasant, and we should have been made aware prior to our stay so we could have made alternate arrangements. I find it completely unfair and unprofessional to have to pay full price for a room and stay when the hotel was 50% complete. I would like, at the very least, a partial refund for having to stay in a partially completed hotel without prior knowledge. It put a hindrance on our whole weekend and would have been avoided if we had been aware of the state of the hotel.

The pillow cases were stained as well as the ceiling, which had hard water stains. The toilet would not flush and the sink wouldn’t drain. The gym was really old & unsafe as the universal machine’s seat was falling off of the base & the vending machines did not work. There was no courtyard to sit and enjoy the grounds. The staff was great about facilitating a resolution and courteous but the room and facilities were subpar to say the least. I will not be booking in the near future.

Hotel was under very loud construction that was not noted anywhere when making the reservation. Had to move to another room.

The room was full of some kind of flying insects, I think called silverfish. Also, saw several roaches. Shower curtain was gross and only 2 towels in the bathroom. All you smell is mildew smell in hallways.

The hotel is in need of updating which is in progress. Nice people. Great breakfast. But rooms are not clean. Peeling ceilings and dirty carpets. Kitchen chairs need replaced. We ended up leaving early and hotel would not refund anything.

Not clean enough for me. Filters in a/c unit absolutely filthy. Heat was on when we went in the room and it never cooled down. Shower leaks. Shower head is a whole mess. Wiped up the floor in the bathroom because of the shower leak and the rag I used was disgusting.

You walk in and there is some odd smell, there was first a spider on the bed. Go to the bathroom and there is a bug in there, tub is so stained it looks filthy. Go back to the room and there was a stink bug. I laid down to rest a minute because we had been traveling a ROACH walked across my arm. I got up flinging my arm and walked over by the desk to see another bug by the coffee pot. The fire alarm was also taped completely over. We checked out a day early and when I told the lady at the front desk all she said is do you want another room. No, there would be bugs everywhere. We refused to even go to get anything from the breakfast area if it wasn't prewrapped and nothing was. I am filing a claim for the second night because we had to find another hotel 20 miles away.

The showers were moldy all over, the front desk didn’t have their computers on so it took forever to check in. I asked for additional towels and was asked how I used my two already - a little rude about it. Overall, I would never stay here again.

Found a roach in the room, and the toilet backed up on the first use. The staff was very friendly but the hotel is sub-par.

We were assigned a room right next to the elevator, which was just unfortunate. Went into our room and the room smelled terrible again, musty and moldy. I open the refrigerator and it was warm inside and smelled terrible. I called the front desk and asked if we could move to a different room and they did not have one. She was very nice and I asked her for some room deodorizer which she brought up to me. I told her about the refrigerator and she noticed that it was unplugged. We stayed the night, but the noise of the elevator the noise of the AC system kept us awake. This hotel is in need of some serious remodeling. I would not stay there again.

We could hear people in the next room. In the halls. But the worst was: people's feet walking and clomping int the room upstairs above our room. Poor soundproofing kept us awake. Cheap construction?

Excessive noise from construction above room 201, where I was staying. This happened between 9 o’clock and 10 o’clock in the morning when I was trying to have a zoom meeting. Moreover, the Wi-fi connection was off and on. I had to reconnect to Wi-Fi several times.

Hotel is very old with thin walls. Everything was clean however

This place needs an updating. Bathroom tub had a big dark spot. Fixtures and granite have seen better days. Carpet old and dirty. Breakfast could use a better selection. Overall not great.

Room was a bit smaller than I expected, but Clean & Comfortable. Hotel in a very convenient location.

It was a stop for rest as part of a longer trip. We got a good night’s sleep. The bed was comfortable. Nice area for the dog. It more than met our needs. Staff was friendly.

I liked that we could take a break from driving and walk to dinner at Groucho’s Deli. Bed was also very comfortable for sleeping.

There is basically nothing really bad about this Comfort Inn, accept that the facility is aging. We stayed here last year and it seemed a lot older and outdating this year. Comfort Inn, time to upgrade this one!!!

I requested an accessible room because I walk with a cane. The room was at the end of the hall not near an elevator or accessible escape route in the event of a fire. The room had a strong odor, and the toilet continuously ran. I voiced my concerns to the manager who was only concerned about returning my payment, She was rude and did not listen, showed no empathy or concern for me as a customer.

Carrie, the front desk employee was AMAZING at helping me and my husband get a room. Spite a few obstacles, she helped us with no hesitation. I think she definitely deserves to get a raise!!! When i asked for an extra blanket for the pull-out couch... i told her i would come back down in a few minutes to grab it from her! She brought it straight up to our room!!! She goes above and beyond. I also saw her giving every guest the same extraordinary service. Thank you! We will be coming back for certain! Please dont take the hot tub out of room 218!!!! 😫

Friendly staff

My family spent 1 night to attend my friend's wedding. I also brought my service dog. At check in, I let Chris know that I had my dog but I forgot the paperwork while rushing. I offered to pay the $25 pet fee if needed, but she told me that I was fine. After I got back and checked my balance to go grocery shopping, I was missing $300. They had $150 posted and $150 pending. When I called, I had to wait until the next day to speak to a manager. When I called her (Connie) back, she seemed to have an attitude with me even though she was aware of the situation by that t. She cut me off and talked over me to let me know that it's $25 if you tell them about your pet and $150 if you don't. I tried to explain to her that I did tell the host at check in. She cut me off AGAIN to rudely say "I already talked to her and refunded your money ma'am". Sooo.... why was I being spoken to rudely and being told the rules AGAIN when I offered to pay the $25 at check in and it was because of THEIR lack of communication, I was out of $300 that was not supposed to be charged to my debit card??? I was the person that had to borrow money to feed my children because of YALL mistake. I stayed on Sept 7th. The pending $150 did not fall off until Sept 12th and I didn't get my posted $150 until Sept 13th. On top of paying for my stay, I was wrongly charged an ADDITIONAL $300 until it was corrected. DEFINITELY NOT COOL AT ALL!!! I am a single mother with limited funds. Worst experience EVER!!!

I'm calling the health department on Monday It's terrible to spend that much money to have bug bites all over you. Waited twenty minutes to get checked in. Horrible I would never consider staying there again

Friendly yet professional staff at check-in. Made us really feel like "Valued Customers" and appreciate our business.

We had a very nice stay. All the staff was polite and we felt very welcome.

Convenience to interstate

Great hotel in the Camden area next to I-20. Couple of places within walking distance to get a bite. Gas station next door had the lowest prices around. Mexican restaurant within walking distance is very good!

Clean, good location to restaurants.

Great stay. Close to the equine park. Rooms were clean beds slept well.

Convenient location to Revolutionary War Visitors Center.

Convenient to exit and for all planned trips in the area.

After checking in and getting our luggage to go up to our room the elevator smelled of weed. The free breakfast was not very appetizing, more of a minimal effort type of deal. There was a white stain on the chair in our room that one could only guess what it was. Upon checking out i was asked by the manager if we had a dog in our room to which I replied no, a couple hours later we got a phone call from the hotel saying that they were gonna charge a cleanup fee of $160.50 because they are stating that there was a dog in the room. I do not own a dog of any sort, we were in town for a race at the local racetrack Carolina Motorsports Park, we visit Camden multiple times a year for races there and this was the first and the last time that we will stay at this hotel. From start to finish it was a terrible stay and the added fee that I will now have to dispute with my bank for a pet fee when I dont have any pets really put the stay over the edge of never wanting to stay there again. The hotel said they would review the camera footage to see if we took a dog in the room which I openly welcomed as I have nothing to hide. Due to responsibilities needed at the racetrack on a race weekend we were out of the room by 7am each morning of our stay and didn't return until 7pm or after each night. If we had brought a pet of any sort it would've been clear as we wouldn't keep said pet in a hotel room by itself for over 12 hours everyday, & it would be obvious we were taking it with us everyday.

The Bad: 1. AC did not work well. Difficult to get room cool on lowest setting. 2. Tub floor was very slippery, actually dangerous to take a shower. 3. Bathroom faucet dripped. The Good: 1. Staff very friendly and helpful. Check in was very easy. 2. Room was very clean and quiet on my side of the building. No signs of bugs. 3. Breakfast was good and well prepared. Breakfast area was very clean.

We were in the area for a family wedding. We enjoyed our stay. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good. The room was nice and had all we needed. There were no issues. For an added bonus, the Comfort Inn is near the Camden Revolutionary War Battlefield and visitor center.

Overall good place to stay for a few days, breakfast was pretty good. My only complaint is it was kind of hot when we got into our room and the rooms were a bit mildew smelling, probably due to saving money and not running the air conditioning when guest aren’t in the room. I would recommend ozone machine in the room regularly to kill mold bacteria

The hotel is in serious need of renovation. I spoke to manager about all of it. The breakfast biscuits and gravy were terrible. Dry, hard and the gravy was too thick and didn't taste good.
