Colony Inn

While checking in I asked about the pool, since that was an amenity I wanted to use. I was told it's out of service, they are going to turn it into a concrete patio. I went to the area to view the pool and it was empty, it was surrounded by a fence and inside the fence were old mattresses. The community ice machine also did not work. The flooring of our room was very damp as if they had cleaned the carpet earlier that day. The smell was unpleasant. we decided to deal with it since it was only one night. When we were leaving to attend the event we were in town for there was alot of activity in the parking lot, which concerned us. Once we returned, we took our puppy out for a walk and a dog ran up to us as if to attack, dog was NOT on a leash. The dog owner apparently lived in the Inn and with no care she just kept calling the dog to come to her. We turned in for the night with plans on leaving as early as possible - we were very uncomfortable at this time. Shortly after we fell off to sleep at 11:57 some one knocks on our door and the door beside us. We saw the person but they walked away - this could have been a mistake but we believe the person was up to no good, as we found out this place is full of illegal drugs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this property and I belive you should highly consider removing this property from your list. We are planning on calling the local police department today to report this hotel so they can investigate the the activities going on.

The receptionist was nice and the house keeper was nice. The room was clean and neat. Nice parking lot. The restaurant food was good

The parking was fine the manager let me check in about 5 hours early for only $15 extra. No breakfast no ice and ice machine. The rooms were outdated new tub was clogged and I could not even take a shower. I complained and the lady up front just basically said sorry I don't know what to tell you overall you could have been a great day or a great price if they update and get the roaches out of the room and everything that's outdated and nasty

This hotel is a older hotel. rooms are in ok condition but clean. had linen service each day and also supplies such as shampoo and soaps provided each day. the refrigerator and AC worked well. parking was very close to rooms with outdoor entrances to each room. This place is a great value no freels hotel.

The price was super reasonable in comparison to the “crack” motels in the surrounding area. I thought the room smelled a little smoky and the parking lot and balcony smelled of straight weed. For the price and the location, I can’t complain . Overalll, I would recommend this hotel.!

The outside looks a bit run down but aside from the crack in the bathtub the room was very comfortable. Overall it was a good value.

Noisy, dirty property, late night dubious activity. outside, two story with stairwell my handicapped 94 y.o, mother had to climb/not having access per he accessible entrance to upper floor room. A positive note is that the room was clean, comfortable beds and linens.

Rats were in our bed n left feces while home to work at night.. roaches crawling on desks and sink. Holes behind the toilet.. the housekeeper was amazing n very respectful. The desk person was nice. Just really needs updating n pest control.

Room filthy. Broken hair dryer. Door handle didn't work. People downstairs smoking pot all night and the smell drifted into my room

I checked in for a 3 night stay. Not only were there bedbugs in my first room, but I asked to be moved and there were bedbugs in my other room as well. I asked for a refund and they gave me one for only 1 night not the 2 nights I didn’t stay. In addition it is a very sketchy area.

I arrived at 11;30pm at the Colony Inn, walked into the room and the first thing that hits in the face is the smell. Then you realize the room is filthy dirty, plus there is a dirt ring around the wall at knee level, like 5 thousand ppl have shood there with their foot against the wall. Obviously, this has never been cleaned, not to mention the paint is literally falling off the walls. I could dwell on, but I hope you get the drift. Keep driving and do not consider this an option, shoot I'd rather sleep in my truck.

First off, the property is disgusting. Second, the bathroom had exposed light bulbs with one missing, electrical outlets missing covers, holes in the wall, dirty lamps. Checked under sheets and found a two foot around pee stain on the mattress. Freezer was disgusting, coffee maker had mold in it. The clothe chair was extremely dirty and ripped up looking like it came from a dumpster. Room smelled of marijuana and cigarettes heavily- non smoking room. Only good thing is the tv, tv channels were decent.

The best things about the Colony Inn were the price and location. We were assigned a room in the back building and it was so gross it was kind of comical. The hallway and the room smelled like mold and bleach. The room had been retextured, and I do mean the entire room, not just the walls. The curtains, TV, floor, a spider, the air conditioner, you name it. The fridge didn’t work, the desk/table tops were smudged and greasy, the table legs and windowsill were moldy, and the coffeemaker was in the bathroom covered in a spray of toothpaste spit. There was a tall, shadeless lamp in the corner, but hey at least the bare bulb was bright. The toilet was leaking and the half roll of TP was sitting on the floor when we got there since the bar from the holder was missing. Not a huge deal, but, I don’t know, maybe something that could be replaced. Despite some suspicious stains on the bedspreads, the pillows and the sheets underneath seemed clean. It was a pretty quiet place (because nobody wants to stay there) and at the end of the day, it was a spot to store our stuff while we were at the festival and to get a few hours of sleep in between. If your lodging budget is $50 a night and you’re not planning to spend a lot of time in your room, stay here. You could do worse… I mean, like, a little anyway. Personally, I’ll build in a smidge extra next time because I feel like we deserve at least the cleanliness of a Motel 6; those are pretty nice now. Don’t undervalue yourself.

Great checkin. I had requested a ground floor room, but management put me on the second floor, but the checkin lady was able to get me a ground floor room. Bed was ok, as was the shower, but HVAC was miserable, hair dryer only shut off with a coffee cup modification. Toilet sear had an illegal tear in it, see photos

It was a quiet place but there was a big hole in the wall that was there when I first showed up. I immediately let them know so they won’t charge me. Plus there is a good size gap under the front door so I can see some feet walking by

Rooms run down ,very loud people

I expected a nice room being that it's a Expedia room but the room looks dingy and old. Stunk,and the bathroom door would not shut and the front panel was nailed on. The curtains were hanging off and on with staples. The paint and wood in bathroom is peeling away and they have roaches. Also they don't offer ice or condiments for coffee. We were very unhappy.

I booked the hotel through Expedia and was sent an itinerary with a confirmation number of 28701796 and Expedia Itinerary number for 72980073499451 for a total bill of $66.62. However, Colony Inn charged me $78.39. The attendant and manager said that they were not aware of any agreement with Expedia. They had my reservation which was booked through Expedia and should have been aware of the price that was offered but still charged me a higher price. This appears to be a breakdown in communication and false advertisement. I would not book at Colony Inn again. I would like my $11.77 refund. Old lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Sheets were clean but floors and everything else were very dirty. Keycard never worked. I’d sleep in my car if this was the only option before I stayed here again.

Staff is super friendly never had any issues

First, made me pay again even though I paid online. Person checking in kept making mistakes with room assignments. We were told there was no key to our room so kept door open and luggage in car until we got back from eating. When we came back, they had put someone else in the room. Told us to go to another room, but someone was in that one. Took an hour from checking in until they got us in a room that was dirty and the shower didn't work. Worst motel experience ever.

The owner is very friendly and caring. We would like to thank him for being more than a owner but also a kind person and showing his kindness much as he is able to. Thanks for cummunicating and working with us to help us out several times when we needed it. We are thankful and grateful to see good people who still exist in todays world.

Location was perfect for my business trip. I've stayed here many times in the past. Always had a quiet,good night's sleep as I have to rise early to make my business appointment. Some of the mentalities may be older, but they're all fully functional. Will stay here again in the future.

The Colony Inn was convenient to multiple businesses, two shopping centers, food outlets, and gas centers. Just about anything that a traveler would want or need was nearby.

I stay here every time I have to work a race at Carolina Motorsport Park.` Although some of the amenities are old, everything works. It's quiet at night and convenient to shopping/restaurants/fast food chains. Excellent value for the money.

No microwave or refrigerator in room... No smoking rooms GTA get up n go outside if I wanted a smoke... No breakfast...

The restaurant should stay open a little later

I tried to think of something good to say about this property but came up with nothing. It is not worth the cost nor the distance it takes to drive from the Interstate to downtown. Plus, they served no breakfast!
