Holiday Inn Express and Suites Greenville by IHG

The property was alright, but the inconvenience of going to room on 3rd floor and key card not working! Having to go back downstairs to front desk to get key reset does not work for me. I understand that it's easier to kill all keys the next day to keep from going through the system to determine your stay overs, but for a handicapped individual 🤔 it could be a headache 😕

We knew the place was under renovation, but we had to try three times to get a room that was acceptable. The first two had not been cleaned, nor were there towels or a shower curtain. The bathroom door didn\'t latch. Even when we got an acceptable room, the tub faucet didn\'t turn off. Breakfast area did not have knives. The "automatic pancake maker" was out but not set up. There are many problems with this property that need to be addressed before it should take guests.

The property was in the mists of a repair and maintenance update. However, aside from that, it was clean, quiet, and appropriate for my overnight stay. Pool closed r/t construction. Ice makers didnt work on 2nd or 3rd floor. Breakfast was very limited, what was available was dried up.Staff however was very friendly

Stayed twice a week apart, 1st stay only a few limited breakfast items, pancake machine broken. 2nd stay week later, still no pancake machine, elevator was broken, our toliet in our room was broken. The people beside us had tv up all night, no one in my party got any sleep.

Highly disappointed with hotels.com and with holiday inn. We were on the road from Florida back home to Arkansas. At our lunch stop we found a holiday inn in Greenville, Ms. Got pretty good reviews, had a pool and hot breakfast, so we booked, jumped back in the car after eating and headed towards the hotel. Got there 1) pool was closed. 2) there were signs all over talking about the city’s “brown water” problem. No where in the ad for the hotel was this mentioned anywhere. I opened my email, and of course I had an email from them after booking that they have a brown water issue. That is something that should be stated before booking!!! And we arrived after being on the road all day or I would have canceled and left. But there were no other close towns. This is a city problem, I get it, but hotels.com and holiday inn should allow their guests to make informed decisions before booking/traveling. I complained to hotels.com on the chat, and they were nice enough, but only offered a 15% discount and a “thanks for the suggestion” when I told them they should make the hotels disclose this. I would have taken a different route and stayed in a different town! Also, hotel wise, many things were out of order, they were out of many things at breakfast, and just in disrepair overall. I’d suggest skipping this place! Especially given the holiday inn express price tag!

We drove for 9 hours. Changed rooms 3 times. 1st room air did not work and toilet seat broke in half. 2nd room Doors would not shut, out of door jam. Sing drain in functioning . 3 room was better and checked out by the desk clerk. No internet the 2nd day

The water was brown in the room, there was trash, blood on my pillow, rust and mold in the bathroom and the check in girl wasn’t friendly and very slow service. I am so angry I paid $200 for this one night in this hotel.

Typically I do not give such a poor review knowing how it impacts the business. No way would I ever recommend this hotel. On the first floor 111, filthy floors, carpet had dirt and who knows what on it. I have a pet and I think they gave me the worst room for $200!!! And the water in the town is BROWN. Allegedly ok to drink, huh! No way. The sheets looked unwashed. They caulked around the tub so many times it comes 3 inches out on the floor. The toilet bowl had a crack. Sleep in your car.

They were in the middle of renovation. The elevator smelled of urine and the floor was dirty. The lobby was shabby. The carpet in the room was stained. The whole property was poorly maintained! It was late and I didn’t feel like driving further but next time I will drive somewhere else!

I had a good experience overall the staff was very nice helpful. It's located in a really good place. Easy accessible to different food venues in the middle of everything I loved it the only thing I had a problem with was the bathroom the toilet was nasty I had to go downstairs and ask the young lady for something to clean it with in order for me to really enjoy my stay with the clean toilet. The breakfast was commendable I liked everything about it it was not substandard I loved it. And the overall staff was phenomenal just wonderful group of people

Our stay was not so good. The staff were friendly, however, the room was very old and smelled like dirty feet. My drying towel was stained, before I had the chance to use it. We were not pleased with the room at all.

The water in the toilet was brownish. There was something on the inside of the toilet bowl; it looked like fecal matter. The wall around the bathtub - the sheetrock and the caulking - looked awful. We stay in your hotels almost exclusively and we were very disappointed in this one.

Breakfast was fresh. House keeping came in and put new towels out. But they just threw the cover on the bed. The bathroom was not clean at all.

The two ladies at the front seat were super nice and helpful when checking in. But when I made it to me room, I noticed old towels still hanging in the shower and the ice bucket had water and the liner floating in it (had not been emptied).

Nice staff and room was clean but had a mildew odor.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It appeared that much of the place had been renovated or updated nicely but maintenance was lacking. Bathroom floor grout and caulking was gross, tub stained and water ran constantly, and floors needed vacuumed much better especially in corners. A maintenance man walked straight into our room without knocking to check on something we had not reported.

Very well kept-up older property in a smaller town. Friendly staff; quiet and comfortable even though it was on a busy four lane road.

Our first time to stay in Greenville. The staff was really friendly and the bed was comfortable. The walls are really thin and we could every single word being said next door!

I come to Mississippi all the time because I have family there normally we stay at the tru but they were booked plus over priced ended up here and the stay was great only thing was the dripping faucet from the bathtub other than that 5 stars

Dog was barking all night, call the front desk several times , I asked for the manager the next morning they said they would call me back

The front desk clerk named Tequila (may not have the correct spelling) is AMAZING!!! Super nice, very friendly, makes you feel at home. Greenville MS Holiday Inn Express you have a great employee.

Our stay was very nice and relaxing and what made it even better was the friendly and helpful staff who kindly met and exceeded any and all our expectations. I will definitely be back to stay and recommend y’all to my friends for a get place to stay if you’re looking for exceptional service while staying away from home.

The bathroom sink and tub were dirty. There was a hard white substance in sink and tub was dirty with dirt and rust. Breakfast was scarce.

Overall, a wonderful experience! But what made my stay most memorable was being treated like royalty by the Breakfast Host, Rhonda Ledlow. Her radiant smile, friendly disposition and ability to make all customers feel appreciated is something that is often missing in customer service. Undoubtedly, the best breakfast host I've seen in the state of Mississippi!

The breakfast was hot and good. The staff was all very welcoming anf friendly. Beds were very comfortable. They are in middle of remodel, but did not affect our stay in any way. It was a quick overnight stop and a place we would stop at again.
