Beautiful facility. Modern, clean, filtered water through out building. Great location, away from the heart of the traffic and less then 5 minute walk to either Playa Norte or Playa Centro. My only wish was that there were umbrellas by the pool.

Staff was great, good drinks at the bar, pool was small but nice, room was big and clean. Didn’t have hot water for the first two days. Bathroom had an occasional sewer smell but was remedied by covering up the floor drain.

This hotel has a great potential but we found some things to be lacking. The elevators did not work and they put us in the top floor. My husband had a sore knee and it was also very inconvenient. They did move us to main floor. Outdoor "hot" tub was COLD and I'm not sure it worked at all. Pool was clean and pretty but not very warm. Our room was minimal. Air conditioning was broken but they did fix it quite promptly. Our shower had no glass around it and we got everywhere in simple shower.

AC temp was great, we had a partial view which was beautiful. Room was large but sparse decor and furnishings made it a far from cozy. Staff was lovely. An espresso machine in room may be fine for some but we had to go downstairs for a regular coffee and they were unable to make change for a 20.00 bill which was surprising. Also coffee was expensive and we had to bring our own cups down to fill. Other than that I would highly recommend The Mint. Pools were small but lovely. View amazing, beach lovely but not swimmable. Short walk to shops and lovely, swimmable beach.

This property is a great location! Walking distance to downtown and beaches! The rooms are affordable spacious and clean. Property needs some updates. Elevator doesn’t work! Nice balconies with ocean view but no furniture to sit out there and enjoy.

We really enjoyed the new pool at The Mint. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, grocery, and the beach. Rooms were spacious and clean. There were only 2 things that were kind of odd: no blankets in the beds, but they did give us extra sheets and there were no beach towels available. You can only use towels for the pool. Overall it was a great value and we’d stay again.

I really liked this hotel because it has been recently remodeled. Everything feels brand new and modern. The view from the luxury rooms is absolutely amazing. I especially loved the swimming pools right in front of the sea; the long pool was perfect for a relaxing swim and enjoying the view. The whole place feels fresh, stylish, and very comfortable — and the scent throughout the hotel is just incredible! I’d definitely stay here again.

Great hotel for the price! Friendly check in/out. We had a whirlpool suite, the view was beautiful! It filled very slow and the jets didn’t work but if you got up early and turned on the water it was full by the time you were done with breakfast. It was clean and convenient to everything. Also had beach towels for a small fee.

Check in process was easy , hotel overall has great location and that’s all. Hotel has potential but rooms are dirty. Room service does not come every day. You have to keep asking for towels. Swimming pool is dirty, hot tub is even worse. Overall I am not recommending. For that price? You can find something better on island.

Luxury room was large with a large bathroom and rain shower. Very clean and the staff were all friendly and gracious. The view is amazing and we slept with the doors open listening to the waves in the rocks below.

Overall the room was fine. Although, there was hair all over the floor, like a LOT of hair! The beds were a bit hard but it was fine for the price and location. I think hotel staff should try to make sure guests aren’t yelling all night in lobby area. It got a little ridiculous.

This hotel is a hidden gem. We stayed 3 nights. Our room was spotless! The staff was super friendly. The bar/restaurant team had amazing service and drinks. There was always someone at the front desk ready to answer a question day or night. You can't beat the ocean front view for the price! I will stay here again.

Every employee we encountered was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Check in was quick and we were escorted to the room. Highly recommend the ocean view which was just "WOW". AC worked well and we even had a ceiling fan. LOCATION is THE BEST for the price! I highly recommend this hotel.

We had to change rooms twice due to ac not cooling and lack of water from shower. Bed was extremely firm and showers have very very light pressure. It takes at least 5 minutes to get hot water then it fluctuates. Other than that it's very clean and in a great location. Beautiful ocean view!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located and within wallking distance of many restaurants. The room was nice. However it was impossible to sleep past 7:00 am because of all the noise. The shower had no hot water.

Room had minimal furniture, chair only with no sofa as in pictures and deck had no furniture which would have made room and stay comfortable. Room was clean and staff was nice. We left a few days early as we wanted something more comfortable. The hotel will be nice when completely updated.

Right on the windward side of Isla with a rugged rocky shore and rough surf making for great ocean sounds... Staff were OK, check in was a tad painful as the front desk gent was not pleasant and made us wait until 3:01pm for a room we found out was ready the night before (as per the cleaning staff). Pretty bare room, although quite large. Basics in place with a great TV and decent hot water. AC was great. Wifi was fine, a tad slow but functional. Resto downstairs wasn't world beating but nice to have. All up, a solid spot on the quiet side of Isla but walking distance to everything we needed.

The king suite is huge nice bed for what usually find in Mexico. Lots of exposed concrete design they are trying to improve. . biggest issues no hot water. Let it run for 5-10 minutes and no hot water came.. king suite doesn't really face ocean. It's off to side of patio . Mostly quiet nice pool and right close to downtown area of Isla. Staff friendly WiFi is extra was another bum deal. For price should be included since. Fix hot water this place would be easy rebook

We had many issues with our room. Door getting stuck, room service not cleaning room, wifi booting us off repeatedly, promises for special treatment for birthday celebrations not given.Staff was happy to brush off complaints with excuses. I will not return to this resort.

Check in staff was rude. Did not have the room ready when they said. Very noisy at 4:30-5 AM. What are they doing working at 4:30 AM. I've stayed there 5 times. Now MINT owns it. And it's going downhill. Fast.

This hotel is now under new name and management — and it’s a whole different, much better experience! Rooms are super clean and spacious. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The new pool is awesome! Only thing missing is a hot tub, and a bigger kitchen menu would be nice. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Just 5 minutes from one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. Alejandra, Abigail and Damian at the hotel are so kind and helpful. This place is a true gem.

We had an issue with our air conditioner not working and Allan was very considerate. He showed us 3 available rooms and let me choose which one I preferred. He also arranged for a golf cart to be delivered to us at the hotel and helped navigate us to places we wanted to go.

This hotel is beautiful and the price is right. It’s perfectly situated on the Malecon and in close walking distance to the beach, the Super Aqui(super market) and all the downtown restaurants and bars. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the hotel has a great vibe. The staff are super friendly and the Managers are all incredibly kind and so very helpful. Abigail, the General Manager, is wonderful and approachable and goes above and beyond in everything she does and she never misses a beat. Alex, the Booking Manager, is also absolutely wonderful and so friendly and approachable and really goes above and beyond to ensure the guests are having a wonderful stay. Allen, the late afternoon/evening Manager is also awesome and very helpful and had so many suggestions and recommendations. These three employees are all very focused on guest satisfaction and that is reflected in everything they do. This dream team made my stay so much more enjoyable due to their care, concern and attention to detail and all three of these exceptional employees deserve raises and promotions because of their hard work and dedication to their jobs. I’ve stayed here several times and these incredible staff members are the reason I decided to re-book. If you’re looking for an affordable hotel with the perfect location and incredible staff, than look no further!

You are within walking distance of El Centro and our personal favorite, the Malecon (walking path on the east side of the island). - Staff: All staff were great. - Breakfast: We paid to have breakfast included. It was enjoyable each morning with an option to have a little variety. They do have a $40 pesos per person charge for your server, even after you pay for breakfast to be included. - Room: The room was nice and clean. The rooms are very large, which is nice, but they could benefit from having a small kitchenette with a microwave. Opportunities: - Noise: As others have shared, noise can be a factor from other rooms. For two nights of our stay, the guests next to us set an alarm for 5:00 am and we heard the buzzing of their phone go off for 10 minutes each time, before the alarm would time itself out. Our 2 night stay at this hotel was comfortable & relaxing. The staff were friendly & courteous, made us feel welcomed & at home. Our room was spacious & clean. The Mint is a very clean and quiet hotel in a great location. The AC in the room was a little undersized and had a tough time keeping the room cool. The staff was kind enough to move us to another room. This property is close to the MIA which had a phenomenal beach!

The location was so amazing. The pool overlooks the ocean, and you are steps to all the shops and restaurants. We stayed with a larger group and all had different rooms. The rooms were spacious and clean. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing property, the staff was great! We have been going to isla for over 20 years this is easily one of the nicest hotels with very convenient location. The pool over looking the water is too notch as well as the wait staff at the bar/resturant. Food was great and at first beer wasn’t cold but they made the changes ice buckets with beer!!!

Pros: Room was in good condition, spacious and clean. Window AC will blow directly on you. Bathroom is very dark made hard for getting ready and the shower was very open so water got everywhere, they provide minimal towels. 1 per person and a floor mat so that was not convenient. It’s a decent hotel for the price but they really skimp everywhere they can. Restaurant was probably 1.5 stars for food and 5 for seating and views.

The pictures do not do this property or the rooms justice. Very quaint and the views are amazing. There are a few small market shops and food truck on the same block that are amazing. The location is amazing for shopping ,eating, beach, views, photo ops, etc. The staff were amazing and Carlos makes great tacos and margs!

This hotel is a hidden gem. We stayed 3 nights. Our room was spotless! The staff was super friendly. The bar/restaurant team had amazing service and drinks. There was always someone at the front desk ready to answer a question day or night. You can't beat the ocean front view for the price! I will stay here again.

The staff was rude at the restaurant and did not allow us to bring in food at the table. However, the pool area was beautiful view, and the kids enjoy the small pool. Just not the restaurant, rude staff. I do not recommend to din there

Upgraded to ocean view king w hot tub. The room was large and clean. Had to wait until 3pm to check-in (understandable). Upon check-in the elevator was out for maintenence so had to walk up 4 flights with luggage. Only had 2 bath towels. No wash cloth or hand towels. Told front desk and they just said sorry but didnt offer to provide any. Hot tub was outside on balcony and didnt appear to be clean so didnt take the time to try it. No ice machines. Went to hotel bar to get some and after a discussion the manager agreed to not charge me. Went to use pool and they wanted to charge you to get pool towels. Decided to just go to on-site restaurant and it was already closed (bar too) at 5:50pm. on a Tuesday evening. Fast forward to check-out and had to wait for staff to go to inspect the room. Was questioned where the coffee mugs were. When I told them there was no mugs, just like no hand towels, after discussion they agreed to check me out of room. Still waiting to see if the deposit has been fully released. Based on my experience, there are better options for my next visit to the island.

It’s a very nice place to stay, the staff was amazing! The bedrooms are very spacious and clean. The pool is small, but very clean and with a gorgeous view. Even though the hotel is right by the beach, you cannot access it. It’s very rocky right by the hotel. But in a 8 min walk you are in North Beach and it’s perfect!

Location of hotel is great. Your 3-5 min walk to N Beach and Hidalgo Street. The pools are perfect. Great view of ocean from pool. They have done a nice job with the hotel. We never ate at the bar/restaurant and never saw anyone in there. I was hoping they would deliver drinks to the pool but that never happened. That would have been a nice touch. Our room facing the ocean was huge. I would stay here again.
