Check in was quick for us. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms, as a majority of the property is hostels. Our room was clean with cold a/c, a ceiling fan, mini fridge and giant TV which we never turned on. Shower had plenty of hot water. Pool was decent, often used for teaching a scuba diving class. Food on site was decent and staff was always present. You do not have beach access staying here but are walking distance from the beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. Nights were always a party (our room had complimentary ear plugs) we didn’t mind the noise. Many different activities to sign up for on site also (yoga, movie night, all you can eat pizza night, mediation, beach clean up and more) We would stay here again as we had no issues. If you’re staying on Isla, pls tip generously, the people are awesome

Veldig fint hotell/hostel med flotte fasiliteter og fellesområder. Veldig fint basseng og uteområder med solsenger. Gode restauranter/cafeer for både frokost, lunsj og middag på området. Sentral beliggenhet. Eneste negative må vel være baderomsfasiliteter, spesielt toalettene, hvor over 50% av toalettene manglet dosete, noe som er svært upraktisk når man er kvinne på tur :)

This property is very nice and well maintained. The location is PERFECT for accessing the downtown night life and food carts (highly recommend)! The property doesn’t allow you to bring in your own alcohol though——well any food or drink. Very quiet, all the time. Young traveling holistic crowd made up most of the people we saw. Basically if you want a place to show off in pictures to your friends for being fancy, don’t stay here. If you are looking for a private get away where you will be surrounded by simple amenities and a lot of peace and quiet, than book this place. Staffing was helpful when approached. The pool was questionable. There isn’t really a beach, and their beach is the spot where the turtles come to lay their eggs, so it’s all protected. The night club does thump and bump until 2:00 am on the weekends. No TV or ice machine.

Schönes Hotel, zentral. Aber überteuert. Frühstück war eigentlich inklusive, man hat uns eine Karte gegeben, Frühstück ausgewählt, dann doch berechnet, unser Frühstück wäre nicht inklusive, dafür gäbe es eine Extra Karte die man uns nicht gezeigt hat. die Liegen am Pool muss man sogar als Hotelgast noch einmal separat bezahlen, zehn Dollar pro Tag. It’s a great place , super fun and well maintain. Hostel kinda place with commune kitchen even thought you also have private room . Although keep in mind that the crowd is on the younger, hippy side and there is a lot of party’s at night with loud music till 2:30 am , I’d say you might get 4 night of party a week depending but the staff will let you know that there will be music until late the day off … still overall very cool site and stay.

Vi bodde i en teepee/bungalow. Det var väldigt spartanskt, fanns inget annat än en säng. Det var gosigt men hade gärna önskat ett avlastningsbord eller några krokar att hänga upp kläder på. Annars var det frächa toaletter och trevlig personal. Resturangen på hotellet var dock mindre bra, vi åt inte upp maten. På fredagar och lördagar var det fest till 02, så förbered med öronproppar. Hostelet låg på en bra adress och det var gångavstånd till stränder, resturang, shopping och båthamn. Det var också trevligt med egen strand och pool, dock var det inte tillåtet att bada på stranden vid hotellet.

The receptionist was not the most friendly. Luckily the manager stepped in and took care of the issues. Everything was smooth after that and the place was great. Some of the rooms are bunk style and great for large groups of people or college kids travelling. The coffee shop downstairs was great and had very cheap bottle water. The bar at the hotel was great and has nice views. The hotel is great for people who want to walk around. Playa Norte is the place go for your beach access if you want to swim. It’s a very short walk to Playa Norte. The food trucks near the hotel are great. I recommend the Al Pastor from La Patrona food truck and the churros from Churrossik Park.

Although you aren't able to swim on the beach directly outside the property it was still nice to watch the sunset, suntan, dip your feet into and walk around to the other side of the island to the swimming beach. The property is well maintained with a restaurant, shared work space, hammocks, nice pool, free class options like yoga and some paid classes also. I'll definitely go back :)

Acho que é um dos hosteis mais lindos que já fiquei na vida. Uma boa surpresa saber que dentro tem uma escola de mergulho e inclusive treinar na piscina do hostel. Banheiros sempre limpos e muitos disponiveis, no dia que fui até uma festa tinha a noite. Adorei!

Ive stayed here twice now and absolutely love it. Its Very safe and clean. They have a communal kitchen which is very convenient. They do charge for towels so be prepared for that cost. Otherwise overall great stay and the price per night can’t be beat. Also there are lots of daily events to participate in.

The room and resort area did not look anything like the pictures - at least we were VERY disappointed. Everything felt to used out, especially the bathroom seemed in bad condition. The room had mould ish smell and felt very disgusting. The AC were to noisy- not possible to sleep while it was on. The pool area were also very dirty, and the water looked like nothing you felt like taking a dip in. They advise not to swim in the ocean cause of waves. Therefor you need to go elsewhere! We did not have a nice stay - we actually felt uncomfortable. The staff didn’t seem that welcoming and it took ages to check-in and out.

Over crowed, over priced due to high season but Not enough employees to handle the season. Bathrooms dirty, no toilet paper, have to pay for bath towel daily? water pressure low but at the same time all appliances are rusty. My room to small for 4 persons(mix room) not enough space to even walk to your bed if someone is standing, too dark, no area to keep ur shower items. also a moldy smell in room due to lack of ventilations. I had stayed here before with no issues but Please if you Know there is a high demand and you are Increasing the price at Least HIRE more employees to keep the showers and restroom clean! i have stayed at several Selinas around the world but this time it was not worth my visit at Islas Mujeres.

Schönes Hostel in perfekter Lage. Super freundliches Personal. Zimmerausstattung war auch ganz ok. Die Duschwände waren jedoch leider nicht so sauber, die Rückstände von anderen Shampoos noch vorhanden. und der Wasserstrahl der Dusche sehr schwach. Aber ansonsten war das Zimmer gereinigt und es war ein schöner Aufenthalt. Im Hostel gibt es sogar ein Café mit keckeren Getränken und Snacks.

Wir hatten das Hostel für 3 Nächte gebucht ( ein Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad). Das Zimmer ist ganz süß aber steht im keinen Verhältnis zum Preis. Das Bad war am Morgen immer dreckig ( nicht gespült, viele Haare in der Dusche etc.) das war dann ein wenig eklig. Das Zimmer ist sehr hellhörig und man versteht jedes Wort seines Zimmernachbarn. Ebenfalls ist insbesondere am Wochenende laute Musik bis 2 Uhr in der Nacht. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Very great location and vibe, the private suite in which we stayed was very spacious although there was not enough light. Breakfast included only on very few dishes and not much flexibility. Beautiful pool and beach.

The hotel is decent and more suitable for young couples or students. I do not recommend staying in the bungalows. They are very cramped, hot, full of mosquitoes, and there is a terrible smell of urine. Absolutely uncomfortable! There aren’t even any hooks for clothes. The shower cabins also lack hooks and shower gel. The beach is terrible. Late check-out is not included and requires an extra payment. On the plus side, the location is good, and there’s a café with excellent croissants.

The staff at this place was incredible. The rooms were much smaller than I anticipated and wasn’t aware that we were going to need to share a bathroom. Nonetheless, we decided to stay extra days.

The room and resort area did not look anything like the pictures - at least we were VERY disappointed. Everything felt to used out, especially the bathroom seemed in bad condition. The room had mould ish smell and felt very disgusting. The AC were to noisy- not possible to sleep while it was on. The pool area were also very dirty, and the water looked like nothing you felt like taking a dip in. They advise not to swim in the ocean cause of waves. Therefor you need to go elsewhere! We did not have a nice stay - we actually felt uncomfortable. The staff didn’t seem that welcoming and it took ages to check-in and out.

Avoid at all cost ! When I arrived they put me in a room that was not looking at all like the pictures, and what I pay for, then I decided to complain and they put me in another room again with not the view I selected, the ac was not working properly, not enough light and a smell like paint in the whole room, terrible place and do not recommend to anyone, just after 15 min from arriving I had to book another hotel and on top of that they don’t want to make a refund even do I was not there more than 20 minutes definitely a big mistake booking this hotel and be aware they might not give you what you pay for

We arrived at midday and the check in time was 3pm. Most hostels would let you do the check in and just hand in the keys when the room is ready. However this was not possible for them. So we had to wait over an hour in the queue for check in when there was two people behind the desk, another one doing absolutely nothing, yawning and looking like she really didn’t want to be there. Once we got to check in, they gave us someone else’s room key and the people were still in the room. We came back and raised this issue and we were given another room key. This didn’t match anyhow the pictures were we were sold. They blamed hotels.com has wrong pictures in the room types. There was nothing they could do apparently even though the room types we wanted were available. We didn’t get any compensation and had to sleep in a room that we would have never booked. We had to work remotely and the WiFi was as down the whole day in the coworking space. There was no food or bar service during the days, and you weren’t allowed to bring your own alcoholic drinks in. So if I wanted to spend a day at the pool and have a cocktail or beer, it wouldn’t be possible. The kitchen wasn’t allowed to be used after 11am which I find absolutely ridiculous. We had take away pizzas and went to eat them in the kitchen and the security told us the area is closed already. The staff was unbothered, unhelpful apart from this one Argentinian girl who was lovely and proactive. This place needs management changing asap

The receptionist was not the most friendly. Luckily the manager stepped in and took care of the issues. Everything was smooth after that and the place was great. Some of the rooms are bunk style and great for large groups of people or college kids travelling. The coffee shop downstairs was great and had very cheap bottle water. The bar at the hotel was great and has nice views. The hotel is great for people who want to walk around. Playa Norte is the place go for your beach access if you want to swim. It’s a very short walk to Playa Norte. The food trucks near the hotel are great. I recommend the Al Pastor from La Patrona food truck and the churros from Churrossik Park.

The hostel’s direct beach access wasn’t usable for swimming due to large rocks and strong waves on that side of the island, so we had to walk quite a bit in the opposite direction to reach a swimmable beach. Regardless of the bad experience with our hotel we had a great time at Islas Mujeres because it’s a beautiful place. The bathroom design was very uncomfortable — the sink had a ledge directly under the mirror, making it difficult to wash your face or brush your teeth without splashing water everywhere. We also found the staff to be not very friendly or helpful, which added to the overall frustration. At checkout, we were charged $15 for a “dirty sheet.” I explained that the stain came from my carry-on wheels and would likely come out in the wash, but they insisted on charging anyway — even though sheets are washed between guests regardless. This experience was disappointing, especially since it’s the first time I’ve ever felt the need to leave a negative review.

Vänlig personal, bra läge och nära till allt. Mysigt område kring poolen samt strand, gott om personal som alltid ville hjälpa till. Enda negativa kan vara att det är väldigt lyhört mellan rummen men det tycker jag det är på de flesta turisthotell, lite synd att man inte kan bada från deras egen strand men det är 5 minuter att gå till Playa Norte. Överlag bra boende även om vi kanske inte tillhör målgruppen för hostels och drog upp medelårdern något.

This property is very nice and well maintained. The location is PERFECT for accessing the downtown night life and food carts (highly recommend)! The property doesn’t allow you to bring in your own alcohol though——well any food or drink. Very quiet, all the time. Young traveling holistic crowd made up most of the people we saw. Basically if you want a place to show off in pictures to your friends for being fancy, don’t stay here. If you are looking for a private get away where you will be surrounded by simple amenities and a lot of peace and quiet, than book this place. Staffing was helpful when approached. The pool was questionable. There isn’t really a beach, and their beach is the spot where the turtles come to lay their eggs, so it’s all protected. The night club does thump and bump until 2:00 am on the weekends. No TV or ice machine.

Schönes Hotel, zentral. Aber überteuert. Schönes Hostel in perfekter Lage. Super freundliches Personal. Zimmerausstattung war auch ganz ok. Die Duschwände waren jedoch leider nicht so sauber, die Rückstände von anderen Shampoos noch vorhanden. und der Wasserstrahl der Dusche sehr schwach. Aber ansonsten war das Zimmer gereinigt und es war ein schöner Aufenthalt. Im Hostel gibt es sogar ein Café mit keckeren Getränken und Snacks.

Only hot shower water once during our stay. Charge for everything. At restaurant food was cold every breakfast. Charged for butter to put on toast. Charged for creamer for the coffee. The checking in process was disorganized. The staff were great. Power was out in the island for an entire day and the staff were busy putting water in toilets to flush.

We stayed in a suite which was quite rustic but with a good ocean vibe. Could use a few repairs around the shower and sofa steam cleaned. The kitchenette was a great surprise. The little fridge did an awesome job keeping the sodas cold. They could offer more free water than just the first day. Overall, was a wonderfully pleasant place, excellent location to beach and restaurants. Would stay there again!

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS
FLEXIBLE RESERVATIONS
Cancellations or modifications must be made by 6:00 pm (Local time) at least 1 day before arrival. Cancellations and no-shows made beyond that time will result in a charge for the first night plus taxes.
NON-REFUNDABLE RESERVATIONS
Full stay (with taxes) is payable in advance by credit card at booking time.
Non-refundable reservations are those made through early booking promotions and minimum stay reservations among others. Remember that non-refundable reservations require full payment of the account to reserve. Payment will be processed and debited from the authorized credit card. If the charge is declined, the reservation may be canceled. No refunds will be given for cancellations, absences, or premature departures.
AGE POLICIES
Young and adventurous? Please remember an important detail: The minimum age allowed to stay in shared dormitories is 18 years. In private rooms guests from 3 to 11 years old must be accompanied by a family member or guardian (verifiable upon check-in) and has an additional cost of $500 MXN per child. From 11 years old is considered as an adult and it is not possible to access rooms sharing with 2 adults.. We want to make sure you’re safe and sound.
LOCAL TAXES
Guests may be required to pay additional local taxes or other regulatory charges upon check-in. Ask and triple-check before paying!
OTHER GENERAL CONDITIONS
- Smoking: Not permitted at this property locations. Yes, it's a big number...but a $300 charge will be billed to guests who do not comply. Not worth it!
- Coolers: Your cooler is not permitted at this property locations.
- Food and drinks: If brought from outside of this property, food and drink may not be consumed in common areas, except the common kitchen.
- Pets: this property is pet friendly! Pet owners are required to book private rooms, as pets are not permitted in dormitories. There is also a cost of $10 per pet per night.
- Towels: For guests staying in dormitories, there is a small towel deposit fee. The deposit will be refunded once the towel is returned at check-out.
- Key deposit: Guests in dormitories will be charged a small key deposit that will be refunded once the key is returned at check-out.
- Luggage: We have available luggage storage for a period of 12 hours at an additional charge of $140 MXN per unit, subject to availability.
- You can cancel your reservation free of charge within the first 4 hours of booking it, regardless of the rate selected.
