The staff was really present and answered our request very fast (our toilet broke down, twice). We had a room in the older building, it seemed like it needs a good deep clean, because everything seems old and has stains... We had a few bugs coming in because of the window of the restroom. The location was good, but like everything on the north side of Isla. Would recommend not staying in the older building. Only like 10 chairs at the pool.

This is an older basic hotel. Its appeal to me is its location right across the road from the beach. The rooms are older but roomy and clean. Beds are comfortable. I like the rooms that face the beach and afford a view of the ocean from its small porch. It has a nice pool, a bar and restaurant. I love to have breakfast on the veranda and watch as the beach begins to wake up with sunshine. The staff is helpful. Most speak English. For a budget stay on a beautiful beach this meets the bill.

North beach and central beach were nearby, Property also has beautiful pool. Reception very good and welcoming.They provided towels for beach visit. Restaurants nearby are very good. we also rented golfcart just from front of the hotel and visited Punta sur. Clean drinking water is available at hotel.

The front desk staff were wonderful! The hotel room was very basic and clean the bed was horrible - very hard. It has good patio off room and nice pool area (just needs some TLC) There is NO coffee in room or in lobby - have to purchase coffee from the restaurant which was total bummer. This is a two maybe three star hotel. You get what you pay for, so have low expectations and you will be fine. Its clean and very basic. Pool deck needs painting and is quite slippery, I had bad fall slipping on some slime on side of pool. Hotel staff really did not seem to care if I hurt myself or not. I asked for bag of ice for my knee and bar staff seemed really put out. The location is in a very busy and congested part of town but close to beach. EVERYTHING IN TOWN IS EXPENSIVE!!! The hotel restaurant does not serve dinner - which is very strange and inconvenient, but there are tons and tons of restaurants close by. This is not a sleepy little island - its very very busy, dirty, crowded and loud. Cozumel is much better island in my opinion. Overall the hotel was good and clean.

The property is a short 5 walk from the ferry dock and directly across from the beach they have a pool, spa and restaurant on the premises, golf cart rental’s are available next door however they not associated with the hotel. The location is perfect for strolls to the many eating and shopping establishments in the area. This was my second stay at this hotel and I will definitely be coming back.

Pool is Closed! A big disappointment for our kids. Pool area is big construtction site and noise is from early morning to evening... all day! Rooms are old and outdated, poorly maintained. WiFi in rooms is not usable. Staff in nice.

This was our 2nd stay but we will probably not be returning. Main issue we had is the pigeons... We could not sit outside on the balcony due to all the bird crap. It stunk, it was everywhere and the birds wake you up at 6:00 every morning. And it is not a soothing tropical bird song! Water pressure was terrible, not hot water, had to move the dresser to access a plug in (not that big of a deal but still) No bottled water but the do have a fountain in lobby. Pool was kind of dirty this time. Bed was super hard. We were not in the new building but in the middle one, view was great right over the pool but didn't open the door due to the poop. Bar was closed during our stay so we definetely missed Romi. Girls at the front desk were great, housekeeping was excellent. I think there are several other properties similar in price that would be upgrade. Posada Del Mar wasn't terrible but it was great either. I would definetely check around before booking here

Booked this hotel with a swimming pool because two children were coming with us. Day before I was able to cancel the trip and not be fined they sent an email saying the pool was being worked on and would open back up two days after we arrived (06/26/25). Thought that would be fine we could spend the first two days on the beach and make use of the chairs and umbrella the hotel provided. First 2 days there they set up chairs but we had to wait over 2 hrs before we got an umbrella because they were busy taking care of “paying” customers coming off the ferry. Complained.., it was taken care of. The day after we arrived we were told the pool won’t be open until 07/04/25 (we left on the 5th) Then we were told the 07/16.,. I don’t think that pool was ready to open for with some time. Just wish I wasn’t lied too. I would have cancelled and booked somewhere else. I won’t make the mistake of staying here again. I’ve stayed here several times and this was the worst customer service experience I have received. The man (Eric) who cleaned my room did a great job!

The toilets are made to not allow for flushing toilet paper, making you use a bun without a lid instead in an unventilated washroom, and the sewage pipes are super weak so you can smell strong sewage smells seeping through the ground everywhere. The air from the air conditioners smell like mold and sewage as well.

My experience was very poor, this hotel needs to be remodeled. The balcony was covered with pigeons poop, these pigeons were making awful noses starting early morning until late night. I stayed there for 13 nights and it was a horrible experience. I visit Isla mujeres twice a year and so far stayed in many different hotels. I have never experienced anything similar. Staff didn’t care as well as management. I will never return there again and will not recommend it to anyone. Hotel is dirty, old, plumbing is not working properly and pigeons poop is all over the place. Health Department shouldn’t let them operate in this anti-sanitary condición. Very bad experience for last 7 years on Isla Mujeres.

Leider habe ich die vorherigen Bewertungen nicht richtig geprüft. Das Hotel ist einfach nur alt und abgewohnt. Im Zimmer roch es sehr stark nach Chlor oder Putzmitteln. Der Geruch war im Bad noch viel schlimmer. So unwohl und unangenehm habe ich mich in einem Hotelzimmer noch nie gefühlt. Der Pool ist ebenso alt. Das Wasser ist einfach nur warm und wird nicht gereinigt. Das Gleiche gilt für die Außenanlagen. Dort lag immer wieder Abfall herum, der nicht entfernt wurde. Ich kann daher dieses Hotel überhaupt nicht weiterempfehlen. Einzig die unmittelbare Nähe zum Strand ist erwähnenswert.

I stayed in room 215 . Entering the large, clean, sparingly appointed room with a large clean bathroom with running hot water I was very pleased. However when I walked onto the balcony pigeons were to the left & right of the party walls. Droppings covered the walls and piled on the floor. The pigeons hovered over the space making it impossible to enjoy the outdoor space, Very unsanitary!! Stay in the old building...no pigeons!!

Hay cucarachas, en las habitaciones, desde la llegada encontre 2 en El bano. Nos cambiaron de habitacion y en la tarde noche salio otra...hay muchas aves Palomas en las terrazas que duermen ahi por lo que esta muy sucio, fue desagradable El Bartender de la alberca, muy amable, excelente servicio, olvide mis lentes en la Noche en el area y en el estuche traia dinero, al dia siguiente el me devolvio todo, muy honrado y amable.

Great location, right across the road from the nicest beach on the island. Their bar had live music most afternoons we were there. Pool's a good size, needs a few minor repairs but clean. Might sound silly but the biggest negative for us was that there was no coffee machines in the rooms and nowhere to purchase coffee on the property. We paid for a superior room, would have thought they would at least have machines in those?

Property was conveniently located across from the beach. Noisy into the early hours some days being close to bars and the busy beach. Simple rooms which was fine for our purposes. Didn’t get a mini fridge despite the website saying you did. Would have cost another $500US to upgrade to a room with one which was disappointing. Staff was friendly.

We were probably given an older room with an entrance door that didn’t have a secure lock on the door along with a gap at the bottom and top. We asked for a face cloth more than once and never received one. Staff was friendly, room was very clean and satisfactory however the pillows were extremely hard which made sleeping difficult.

The location is great, close to beach and town. Bus stop right out front. Sunset view from our room 201. Drinking water available in the lobby and in other wing, free. We had a standard room. No refrigerator or coffee machine. This should be standard, in my opinion. Our room was spacious. Book exchange in lobby. The pool wasn’t not inviting and we did not use it. The Sun loungers by the pool are old and not plentiful. There was some street and bar noise at night, but just late one night. I used ear plugs. The WiFi was the best near the pool. I would stay here again, probably in the superior room, with a fridge and coffee maker.

Although some people may like a hard bed, the bed was extremely hard, as well as the pillows. There wasn't a coffee pot in the room, as with usual hotels. We had to wait for on-site restaurant to open, then pay for coffee. No Elevator! The rooms were clean & very cloae to the beach

When we arrived after traveling all day the front desk could not find our reservations. Apparently they had not been uploaded into the front desk computer or something. She basically had to go through and make new bookings for us right then and there. Said she couldn't honor the prices we were quoted when booking through Expedia. Very stressful. After much back and forth we finally ended up with three adequate rooms. It poured rain one day and the tile floors were completely flooded with water because of inadequate drainage and were SO slippery and dangerous. There was a dead bird by the pool that no one ever picked up for the entirety of our weeklong stay even though we notified the front desk on our second day. Can't beat the location though, literally cross the street and you're on the beach.

Cuándo llegamos la persona en el recepción una persona llamada Fabiola no fue nada agradable y ni las maletas no guardo en un área segura,después de esperar 2 horas nos dio una habitación que era un asco,más tarde nos cambió después del quejarnos. Booked this hotel with a swimming pool because two children were coming with us. Day before I was able to cancel the trip and not be fined they sent an email saying the pool was being worked on and would open back up two days after we arrived (06/26/25). Thought that would be fine we could spend the first two days on the beach and make use of the chairs and umbrella the hotel provided. First 2 days there they set up chairs but we had to wait over 2 hrs before we got an umbrella because they were busy taking care of “paying” customers coming off the ferry. Complained.., it was taken care of. The day after we arrived we were told the pool won’t be open until 07/04/25 (we left on the 5th) Then we were told the 07/16.,. I don’t think that pool was ready to open for with some time. Just wish I wasn’t lied too. I would have cancelled and booked somewhere else. I won’t make the mistake of staying here again. I’ve stayed here several times and this was the worst customer service experience I have received. The man (Eric) who cleaned my room did a great job!

Great location, room could use some updating, beach staff is terrible!! The staff member set up our beach chairs/umbrella however it took us having to flag them down for drinks. La Posada is conveniently located to all the shops and restaurants. Across the street is the public beach with all the services available at North Beach…which is just two blocks down the street. Hotel staff were accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was always curious about this place. And until my recent stay I had never been to the beach across the street from the hotel. It was clean, quite (at least where I stayed in the hotel). It was in a great location to almost everything you'd need for a good vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's in such great location, beach is across the street from it. Plenty of restaurants and bars near by. The hotel has its own restaurant,but onky serves breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed breakfast there every morning. Very good and not expensive at all. Definitely staying there again in the future.

It was a great location .was nice to have entertainment in the afternoon. Food was good and prices reasonable for a hotel. We did the beach service one day but were surprised we had to pay $300 pesos.we were not informed if the cost when we asked if they had lounge chairs on the beach.overall I would stay there again.

This property is directly across the street from one of the main beaches.(this is the main reason I stay here.) Restaurant on the property is good with reasonable prices. It closes at 4 pm. But other very good restaurants are within walking distance for evening meals. Bar provides a nice view of the beach while you relax. All the staff is helpful and friendly.

Love the convenience of the hotel and the laid back vibe. Love ROMY’S BAR We did have issues with no blow dryers or coffee pots in the room. We stayed in the superior rooms thinking it had everything… it does not We had to ask for wash cloths each night… they stock rooms with the hand towels as wash cloths

the guy at the restaurant refused to fill up my Barbie sized tea cup more than two times .... which btw was only filled half-way both times .... he proceeded to tell me that he does not give out free coffee all day .... we were spending over 50 US a day just for breakfast which was mediocre at best .... no more of our money we went elsewhere ..

When we booked this we were a bit skeptical, however we were very pleased, it is a solid 3 star resort. We are simple and don't need the big glitzy resorts. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the water worked and was hot, the pool was not over crowded, food was good, the bar/pool service could have been better but was there, all the staff we encountered was very pleasant. Its location was awesome to explore, walkable from the ferry. Would definitely stay again!

The property is dated, but in pretty good shape. The room was nice and clean. The only complaint that I have was that the lock on the sliding door did not engage properly. Other than that everything else was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we loved the restaurant there as well as the bar. The pool was very nice and the location is very convenient. It is not on the beach, but right across the street from it. North Beach is a short walk away as well as many great restaurants. We walked from the ferry to the hotel without much issue. The amount of people on the streets (tourists at the shops) was the biggest issue. Also the streets are filled with rental golf carts. Mind you that none of this takes away from the Hotel itself. I do believe that we got a good bang for our buck with the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

The location is stellar especially with their back gate !!!! This is an older property like many on Isla. The rooms are immaculate, AC is colder than your ex's heart, and the shower is the best one I've had on vacay. The pool area and chairs are great, but the pool needs some repairs. It didn't seem like the pump and filters were working..... The location, and interior of rooms over shadow the negatives.
