Cozumel Hotel & Resort

Nice, huge pool. Could use more shade, umbrella’s would be nice. Hotel entertainment was actually pretty good! Room could use some updates, drawers off their glide. Buffet food is ok but predictable. Special event food better. Staff and management all very nice. Wi-Fi only in common areas, not good in rooms-should be updated.

The Cozumel Hotel and Resort was an incredible place to stay for myself and my family. We reserved two standard rooms with a pool view. What we loved: The staff were accommodating and went above and beyond to provide activities and entertainment, hourly. Evening shows were spectacular! The pool is heated, and the indoor and outdoor spaces are aesthetically pleasing. Our favorite part about the room was a hammock by the sliding glass door, which provided beautiful access to the patio and views of the pool. There is no beach, but there is a beautiful sandy area and the ocean is easily accessible with instant snorkel opportunities right off the shore. Not to mention, the hotel has complimentary snorkel gear for the whole family. What we thought was just OK: The food kept us fed, but after a full week of eating there, the selection felt limited. We absolutely loved all the servers and chefs, though. What we didn't enjoy at all: The bathrooms had layers of paint and mold. The showers and toilets weren't the best to say the least. The smell of mildew deep in the halls was almost unbearable at times. If you're looking for affordability, The Cozumel experience, safety and fun, along with the all inclusive package, this hotel is absolutely a great option.

Location is everything. Our divers get picked up on our dock, walking along the water way to dinner and shopping. The staff is very good when you need something. The pool I believe is the largest on the island. Plus they have a snorkeling beach area in front of the hotel.

This hotel is consistently clean with helpful, friendly staff. The outdoor pool is huge! It’s close enough to walk in to town or a short cab ride. Nice to get picked up for diving I. The dock and breakfast starts at 7 to allow you time to grab some food if you want before diving.

We enjoyed staying here, and would definitely do so in the future. The beach is nice, staff is great, and on-site dock is a bonus regardless of the dive operator you choose to use. The one serious area for improvement would be to start offering a vegetarian choice of main dish with each meal. Generally there wasn't one available, even off menu, and the impromptu results weren't all that satisfying.

Positive experience, clean, friendly staff, large outdoor pool, nice outdoor hot tub, access to the ocean to snorkel and swim, chairs to relax on the sand (no beach access, but stairs into the water).

Cool place _ staff was great - Diego the entertainment director was cool and did good. Safe passage to the beach, nice pool area. Food pretty good for an AI. Beach area had steps for water access. They did have chairs and recliners on a sandy area with great views on the ocean. Walkable to souvenir shops. Good views of the cruise ships.

Overall, staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Good security, felt safe. Food was great, fresh and big selection. Hotel is quiet and clean, you can see staff always cleaning. Pool activities and shows. Snorkeling available for free. It does need a little cosmetic work and updating, not a five star hotel but the staff is 5 star. If you’re looking for a nice, quiet and affordable place to stay with great service, this hotel is for you. Would stay there again.

Great resort for scuba diving or for anyone wanting to spend time around the (gorgeous) pool. There isn’t a “beach” but there are plenty of lounge chairs and hammocks on sand right above the ocean. There’s also a walkway down into the ocean for swimmers. BRING BUG SPRAY. Mosquitos are prevalent around the ocean/outdoor eating areas. Food had a great variety

Staff and service was excellent, food was fine, summer rates made the hotel a great value but room are long in the tooth, no longer any dresser or table but a fridge and wifi was terrible outside the lobby while it has always been great in the rooms over past years. Very diver friendly hotel pier for pickup by independent providers.

I always stay at Hotel Cozumel & Resort. The staff is very friendly and the Resort and rooms are spotless. The Hotel is within walking distance to the square for shopping. L Riley

Room was clean and comfortable and the A/C was great.

The staff were nice, The front seat girls were not helpful. There was no internet for several days. They were working around the pool, so there were pieces of tile and concrete all around. I cut my foot on a piece in the pool.

The room was very dirty and run down. Shocking for a Wyndham property. The entire property is dated and tired. I booked based off the last 10 reviews which were all 10/10. I can only assume those were purchased reviews? There’s no possible way someone would rate is 10/10. The food was bland. On the positive side the staff was wonderful, attentive and kind. I came to check out property for future vacations and possible business meeting. So disappointed.

Hotel fica a 1.7 km do porto. Muito bem localizado. Instalações não são novas porém todas muito funcionais. A comida não é sofisticada mas é muito boa e variada, nota dez. O custo benefício do resort é excelente. Serviço muito atencioso e cordeal. Limpeza do quarto é excelente.

Pro's: Property was nice & in great location for no noise, but a quick trip to town. Pool was awesome. Staff was friendly. Breakfast had great selection. Lunch & dinner was okay. Con's: Room didn’t have air conditioning & it was very humid. Seen mold on sheets. Bring a wash cloth. Bathroom was not in best condition. We think? the toilet was leaking & keeping the floor wet. Tub was not clean.

The staff goes above and beyond. Rooms are super clean, great location just south of THE MEGA. Its such a great place and location this is our 4th 8 day this year. Highly recommend it.

No beach but amazing snorkeling! Internet/wifi worked just fine, ac in room worked great, hot water plentiful with good pressure. Clean room, very little storage for your stuff. Food average but decent. All in all i would go back if the price was right.

I’ve been staying here for years. The staff are excellent. Hotel is nice. What’s disappointing is this year in my room they took the dressers out. So there was really no place to store your clothes

The highlight of this property is the incredible staff. They are so welcoming, so attentive, and truly want to ensure that you have a great stay. Additionally, it’s extremely easy to book excursions through the staff, who provide detailed information on what to expect/where to go. The property itself is quite outdated, and I wasn’t lucky enough to stay in one of the updated rooms. Instead, I was in one of the older rooms. It had a brand new mini-fridge and the AC ran high with no issue. I did find it odd that there weren’t any washcloths though. A few things worth noting; The bed was painfully hard. The buffet was subpar (especially for a vegetarian). One night at the buffet dinner, I wanted to bring a plate back to my room and I was told that it was only allowed via room service. However, that’s a specified menu (again, less options for a vegetarian) AND they upcharge for room service. I just found that a little silly that I wasn’t supposed to bring my own dinner to my room but someone else could bring it. Finally, the gentleman who sells (very pretty) sculptures by the dive shop would ask me if I was ready to purchase every time I walked by. I ended up avoided the beach area during that second half of my stay for that reason. I admit that I’m not the best at saying a direct ’no’, but I also didn’t expect to feel ‘pressured to buy’ at the resort.

The rooms are small but the AC works great. The pool is huge. The resort is definitely showing its age. It is a little dark. Location is good for exploring downtown.

Please put the dressers back into the rooms. Not very happy with no where to put your clothes when you have 2 or more persons in a room you have to live out of your suitcase :/

The advertised renovated room we paid for was not what we were provided. The first room did not lock and was not a pool view room. So we were given a different room. The second room did not have a dresser or anywhere to put luggage. We were told the room advertised was one if only Six rooms that had been renovated. Hence the advertised room was not what we were provided with. This was disappointing. The staff provided portable racks for luggage and tried to help. They were aware management removed all dressers so as to renovate rooms. But only renovated 6 rooms. The wireless internet was not available in rooms as advertised. Based on what we were given we overpaid. Staff tried to help but they can only respond based on what assistance they are able to provide.

The food was amazing at all the places we ate. The pool was perfect. The rooms are well maintained. The only reason this visit didn’t get 5 stars is the beds are HORRIBLE. It was worse than sleeping on the floor. I’m stiff and miserable, but the stay was great otherwise.

Cozumel hotel & resort is very conveniently located! We love the food, service, location, and accommodations. We especially enjoyed the service!!! We look forward to going back again and again!!!

Great secure parking and easy walk to downtown. Plenty of dining options so you won't go hungry and for the price you won't feel bad to go to one of the many fantastic restaurants on the island. Fantastic staff that always goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The food was, without a doubt, one of our fave parts, always fresh, flavorful, and delicious at every meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were spotless every single day. The snorkeling area was phenomenal and perfect for traveling with kids. A special thank you to Emir, the lifeguard, who was so kind and knowledgeable, making us feel safe and cared for. This place truly exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to go back!

The staff is very customer friendly. Our excursion for snorkeling was set up by the tour operator. I forgot my rain jacket when exiting the water craft and the tour operator facilitated finding it and getting it back to the hotel. He was very helpful. Entertainment at the resort nightly was outstanding!! I cannot state that enough. The resort is well organized and clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Checking in and out were quick and easy. I only saw a line at check-in once during the two weeks we were there. They were very accommodating when we asked to change from our ocean view room to a pool view room. (The ocean view rooms do have a little road noise and the designated smoking area is on the lawn below/ in front of the ocean view rooms.) We have been here multiple times and appreciate that they are updating, a little bit at a time. The rooms now have refrigerators, new (comfortable) mattresses, a desk, and reading lamps above the beds. The public restrooms have also been updated. The sinks, showers, and toilets could use updating, but are functional. Service was mostly exceptional. The front desk staff were professional and handled the couple requests we had promptly. The majority of the employees were friendly from maids, servers, bartenders, to maintenance staff. The only service we would rate as poor, were some of the lunch service staff. They seemed more interested in chatting with each other than serving the patrons. There were some post hurricane repairs and painting going on during our stay, but there was no negative impact on the patrons. There was a variety of entertainment and some of it wasn't too bad. The meals were standard AI quality. There were usually enough choices that you could, generally, find something you could enjoy during each meal. The location is a plus for us, as we often go for walks, when not diving. It is an easy walk to shopping.

Was in a great location close to everything downtown

Location is great, room was clean, and services especially the all inclusive dining plan was amazing. Staffs provided high quality service everywhere! Very impressed! Need to mention that there is a corridor to cross the street under the ground and leads to the dining hall beside the sea which is very convenient. Also there is a diving shop right beside.

Easy and safe walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. Staff was great and attentive! Resort was clean and quiet. Overall a lowkey resort and a great place to relax by the pool or Ocean. Food was good. We only ate at the pool side restaurant and buffet, we didn't make it into the actual restaurant. Perfect place to hang out with your spouse for a nice relaxing week!

The staff is absolutely wonderful!! Close enough to walk to town,, or ride in taxi for about $7 USD. You can barrow snorkeling gear if you didn’t bring your own. The snorkeling is absolutely wonderful!! My only complaint would be the beds, they are rock hard. I would definitely stay again .

All of the staff is extremely nice and helpful. The entertainment crew was amazing! We had such a great time with them. The breakfast and dinner buffets were the best we’ve ever had at a Cozumel resort. The poolside lunch was just as good and such a huge hit to be able to get out the pool, order, and eat without having to go anywhere else.

The Food at night was ICE COLD! And they served the SAME FOOD EVERY SINGLE DAY. NO VARIETY. NO FOOD OR ROOM SERVICE AVAILABLE AFTER 10:30. Even if you paid for ALL INCLUSIVE, you still must pay ADDITIONAL for room service to er the SAME COLD FOOD EVERY DAY. VERY DISAPPOINTED

The snorkeling was amazing. The food was bad. They did not have the restaurant choices that were advertised. Servers were not friendly or helpful except for the omlette chef he was great.

We liked the proximity to the downtown area and having access to the ocean. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We got the all inclusive option. We didn’t care for the food. Not much flavor. Even after adding some of the available salsas, it still was missing something. We may do the breakfast only plan next time. The margaritas were made with a drink mix instead of squeezed lime juice, triple sec, and tequila. (Had a sugar substitute flavor too). Tried a Paloma and they used squirt instead of grapefruit juice. Drinks were acceptable, but not great. The house red wine was really nice though. The evening entertainment was pretty good.

All good except food is bad

The quality of food has declined over the last few years. Instead of concentrating on American food choices, include items that represent the more local known items. The indoor dining is not a pleasant experience and the lighting is similiar to a refrigerator.

We have been coming to this hotel off and on for 20 years, I think it is the best all inclusive deal on the island and the fact that downtown is walkable saves a lot on cab fare, the staff is superb, the quality of food has declined the past two years but it is still acceptable

Très bon resort 3 étoiles et demi! La nourriture est bonne, le personnel très gentil. Le resort est pas récent mais c'est très propre. C'est un bel endroit pour le snorkling car la plage est inexistante. La baie naturelle ou l'on peut se baigner est assez creuse, je ne recommanderais pas avec de jeunes enfants. Bon à savoir : tous les repas sont pris à l'extérieur donc ca peut devenir très chaud. Le Wi-Fi est limité. Il y a peu d'animation le soir. C'est à environ 20 minutes de marche du centre de Cozumel, agréable le soir.
