5 day stay.. Property is in an excellent location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooftop dining excellent. Rooms nice. Decor of hotel very nice. They have elevators but only big enough for 3 people. cons: Expedia VIP room upgrade not offered, ac in room was not cooling while the lobby area was very cold, breakfast was marginal and the same daily, beds were hard, pillows flat. If the cons are not important to you then the location alone is worth it.

Gorgeous view of the Roman Forum, a short walk to the Colosseum. Also easy walk to metro to explore the other sites. Staff fantastically friendly and helpful, topped off literally by the roof top restaurant and above again the American bar cocktail lounge. Would highly recommend.

You couldn’t get a better location than this. Breakfast view is the forum and the coliseum is literally around the corner. All the big sites are a 15 minute walk, just perfect. Beautiful place with really cool little patios and rooftop restaurant. Awesome little bar one floor up from there, also amazing view. Breakfast is great, buffet with everything. Staff is amazing, from the staff at the front desk to the people that cleaned the room and especially the staff in the breakfast restaurant. If I can think of anything negative, it’s a bit noisy in the rooms. But it’s a cool old place and I loved my stay

Charming old style hotel but the I got was very small although comfortable the bed took almost all the space It was extremely hot that week so windows could not be open AC was good Reception was very efficient No problem getting taxis The Bar could have been open earlier with more efficient service They need to pay attention to small details like having coffee stirrers

Great location. Unfortunately the AC wasn’t great, the room was insanely hot even with it set at the lowest temperature and the highest fan. The lifts were temperamental. Walls also paper thin. Could hear anyone who walked past the room at all times. Anytime a door opened on our floor it sounded like they was coming into our room. Great location however and walking distance to absolutely everything and right next to the Roman forum.

Great experience at this property prime location in central rome. The rooftop bar is wonderful just wished it stayed open longer. Rooms are a little dated but typical Roman style. Very clean and staff was great.

Incredible location: front door opens up on Forum,10 minutes to Coliseum and Roma Termini (a little tricky with construction in area to get around forum and Piazza Venezia. Wonderful staff at reception, housekeeping could be better, but this is an established fine hotel and excellent value for what it offers

Por falar em café da manhã, é excelente: têm frutas frescas, frutas secas, cerais, yogurt, frios (queijos e parma), pães, ovos mexidos, bacon, torradas, panquecas, bolos, bolachas, geleias, sucos de frutas, café, entre outras opções, ou seja, completo. Foi a melhor estadia até o momento em Roma.

Brilliant for it’s location. Does get quite loud outside late at night though, if you want to keep your window open. The room was perfectly clean and had the basic facilities needed. There is an old smell when you first walk in, you get used to it after a while but worth knowing it’s not a modern feel. Overall good hotel in great location for a visiting tourist.

The forum hotel is absolutely amazing! A beautifully decorated hotel with class and fantastic staff. The room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel is a gem in Rome and I will DEFINITELY be going back again. Definitely recommend!!

We arrived in Rome on the train and had no idea where the motel was but found it was a short bus trip on bus 75 almost to the door. The location is fantastic, you can see the Colosseum from the top deck/Restaurant. The staff were wonderful, room clean, nothing was a fuss to them. Your close to restaurants and shopping.

The location could not be more perfect—right in the heart of Rome, with stunning views of the Roman Forum that made every morning and evening feel magical. I do NOT recommend this hotel but I do recommend the restaurant. PROs - Great location for seeing the most popular sites. - Hidden gem of a rooftop restaurant and bar with outstanding food, service and a one of the best views in Rome. - Housekeeping was quick to help with an issue. CONs - Summertime issue... It lists AC but it barely works. Our room baked in the July sun and just could not cool down at night. They provided a fan but we could not get a good nights sleep. - I'm all for old, charming hotels but the fixtures, furniture and bed were dated rather than charming. - Given the issues above, this was ridiculously overpriced. A separate issue... I asked for help booking early morning "nice transportation" to the airport. I described needing a newer large SUV or van for the family and bags. (You see many of these in Rome.) The gentlemen seemed confident in helping with this. He quoted a high fare but given our discussion, it was expected. When we met the transportation, it was a old, dirty, smelly 3 row van. At that point, I didn't have options and just had to go. I was also forced to pay cash or add 20 Euros. Simply put, I felt cheated.

This hotel is amazing. the room was spotless, with great views, i stayed on the 4th floor and waking up to part of the forum was so cool! The bed was very comfortable and the room stayed cool. The location was perfect, super walkable to all the main attractions and the buses are also super accessible. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights. Staff was wonderful, kept our luggage while we toured on our third day in Rome. They helped get a cab and made our transfer seamless. Keep in mind we did need to sleep with the windows open as rooms get warm, even in April. With the windows open it’s very, very loud at night.

Very old property, rooms are extremely out dated, small and HOT! AC doesn’t work properly! Everything in the property seems overused! Needs complete renovation in my opinion! Definitely not a 4star. Maybe 1 star

The hotel and staff were amazing. The only complaint I have is my room was on the 4th floor, and the restaurant is the floor above, so it was very noisy until 11pm.

This hotel is in a good location. It was super hot when we were there and the air conditioning just never seemed to get our room cool enough. Very small, tight quarters. Bathroom was small, but updated.

Convenient location, just blocks from the colloseum. It is a historic building so loads of character. Restaurant and bar are very good but pricey. Our room was not great. The window we had faced an inner courtyard so shutters had to be closed all the time. Zero view.

Location! Can use more cooler temperature in the room if the temperature outside is over 90 degrees. The room is small but great and with a little touch of luxury. View from the room was amazing!!!

The location of the hotel is very good, walkable to all sites and have dining options on footsteps. The staff was very cooperative and helped with getting cabs super early in the day. The decor is very traditional and appealing. Elevators are quite small and old but were working 🙂 Will surely recommend!

I would highly recommend the Hotel Forum! The location is perfect. Close to The Colosseum, Roman Forum, and plenty of restaurants and shopping. A short walk to major attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Staff is friendly and accommodations are good. We stayed in the Family suite which is very spacious and perfect for our party of 4. Two large beds on two different levels along with sitting area, desk, and large closet. Plenty of room for four with multiple suitcases and bags. Terrific breakfast on the rooftop cafe, something for everyone. On the day of check-out, our flight was delayed but the front desk allowed us to stay an extra hour, even though the hotel was fully booked. It was a lifesaver! The layout of the hotel is very odd. We had to take two different elevators to get to the second floor. These quirks along with traditional European decor made for an interesting stay. I would stay here again and would highly recommend the Hotel Forum.

The front desk staff were not friendly at all. However the other hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is nice and has a beautiful restaurant and nice rooftop bar. It is in a great area close to the colosseum and right next to the forum. It was a nice place to stay. However, the beds were not very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at hotel forum. It is so close to the Colosseum and the Roman forum is right outside the front door. The service was wonderful with early check in and a bottle of champagne waiting on us. Would absolutely stay here again!

There was no soap in my room and it took two days of requests to get some. One day, there were no towels. Rooms are old and need updating.

Incredible location with rooftops views overlooking the ancient Forum. The Monti neighborhood has good dining, easy walking to anything and everything you want but the hotel itself is on a safe quiet block, tucked comfortably away from traffic.

Really old hotel in a great location right across from Forum and walking distance from everything. Hotel is very old but needs major upgrade. Our room was good size and very clean. Once this was a great place. Rooftop bar is great but very expensive, like NYC expensive, but worth it. Overall service was efficient but not very personable.

Pro: This place was close to the Forum and all the popular sites. It was a great spot, and you could walk to tons of restaurants and shops. Breakfast was nice and had a beautiful view. The room was large and old but nice. Con: The restaurant is closed on Sunday. I wish we were told that because we partially wanted to stay here because we wanted a place with a restaurant. There was a rooftop bar, but the two nights we tried to go we were told it was closed for a “private party”, but we never saw anyone show up. The staff were not overly friendly.

The neighborhood was really noisy all night with windows open, making it difficult to sleep. The hotel was centrally located near the Forum and Coliseum and there were plenty of dining options nearby. The restaurant in the hotel was very expensive and required advanced dinner reservations. Breakfast was included, but apparently European scrambled eggs are runny. I appreciate the staff making transportation arrangements to from and to the airport.

The hotel is in an older building with thinner walls, so it wasn't the quietest place I have stayed in, and they were experiencing some electrical issues and faulty air-conditioning during our stay. The staff acknowledged the electrical problems and were very apologetic about it, which we appreciated. However the room was extremely clean and tidy, and the communal areas were well maintained. The bed was also quite comfortable and our towels were changed every day. Thank you for providing us with a good base for our stay in Rome.
