Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Youngstown - North Lima/Boardman by IHG

The hotel itself looked as if it was under construction but it really wasn’t. Just dirt and dust every where. The outside area was not mowed and full of weeds. The windows and doors were not cleaned at all which made it seem like construction was going on. The room itself was okay. The rugs needed cleaning. The one bright spot was their breakfast. It had everything and was good considering it was included. The front desk agent was not the friendliest like we were a bother being there, that’s after waiting what felt like 15 minutes before coming to the desk for check in.

The breakfast was great, rooms & hotel were very clean. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking too!

Still waiting for a refund as there was a government shutdown of the roads that did not allow us to travel. With it being mandated by the government to stay off the roads, it’s an extenuating circumstance out of my control. I called, left chat messages, and stayed online waiting for someone to respond for over an hour. Needless to say, not a fan of how it was handled, neither by the hotel or the 3rd party Expedia.

bk staff and am front desk worked very hard and were very friendly.
