Was supposed to be able to check in at 3:00 pm but I should up at 4:30 and was told room was not ready had to come back in 40 minutes so didn’t get my room till 6:00 pm I was tired wanted to rest before my dinner reservation, pool closed .

The room itself wasn't bad, but a lot was. They didn't change the sheets, most of the doors to the building - the key card access was busted, none of the vending machines worked/were properly stocked, the property was dirty, there was dog poop and chicken bones in the hallway, the tub had a squishy bottom which felt unsafe for anyone to use but especially my disabled mother, and we felt unsafe on the property. We won't be staying there again. We chose it because it was cheaper but I'd rather pay a little more next time for a respectful hotel. Lesson learned.

The front desk folks were great. Efficient. Friendly. The room was fine. Clean and functional. The issue is with the building itself (the tower). Elevator, frame around elevator, and carpet on third floor were a disgrace. Carpet obviously worn out and badly stained. Paint peeling around elevator. It gives you a feeling of dread as you approach your room, which was ok.

There were only two negatives in an otherwise very standard and comfortable stay. 1) There was no elevator in the building our room was in. The front desk staff informed us, but gave no explanation for why there was no elevator. It was more difficult than I anticipated hauling our luggage up the staircase. If I had known, I would have requested to be on the ground floor or in a different building. 2) The TV didn't work. When I say that, understand that I'm talking about the connection/channels NOT the physical TV set. The actual TV set seemed perfectly fine, it just kept showing the message "Not Connected". Our room had to change due to , Condom wrapper in garbage , blood on shower curtain and wall, only 2towels, white stains all over the blankets , moving to our second room , 1 towel , air conditioner sounded like a landing plane , marijuana smells ,no working tv remote door kept jamming and not closing , elevator was scary ,the entire building smelled like black mold , this was the worst experience and it ruined my trip , and due to the time I did not want to run around at night for a new room , the parking lot was not safe and the outside door had no lock , due to it being in mission beach I thought it would be nice , but it was a slumlord experience

The room was clean, I will give it that. However the over all conditions of the place was awful. Hallways were filthy. Puke in the elevator that sat for a long time so that was unusable. Do not stay here! Nothing around. The bus that gets you to the trolleys doesn’t run on Sundays so you have to uber or walk to the trolley. Book at your own risk haha

Compared to other motel 6 properties we have stayed at, this was probably the bottom of the barrel: an older renovation, and there were cigarette burns and surfaces, chipping, and stains in various places, and the air conditioner was horrible, the vents were thick with grime and it sounded like a tractor starting and stopping all night. The front desk said "they are all like that." The floor looked clean, however after walking, barefoot for a few minutes, the bottom of our feet were black. I don't think anyone ever used the pool, as it is right next to a freeway and very unpleasantly loud. they need to pay more attention to the condition of the rooms. They seemed really understaffed, and only clean the room upon request.

Mattresses are super thin and somewhat uncomfortable. Parking is very scarce and the hallways are musty and super narrow/claustrophobic (same with the elevator). That being said the Staff are very polite and for the price point on Comic Con weekend it wasn't all that bad. Ultimately it'll get the job done but I wouldn't go in with high expectations as the photos are slightly misleading and probably dated.

My room smelled like sweaty feet. There was no shampoo or microwave. The room above was noisier than the road outside. My room was next to the utility room, and whenever they slammed the door, the wall and the headboard of the bed would shake. If this is your only option, I recommend wearing earplugs when sleeping.

There wasn’t an iron or microwave in the room. There was no body soap in the restroom. The walls weren’t very sound proof. You can hear banging and other noises guest are making. It’s like the walls are thin. I’ve stayed at nicer hotels in the area and payed less.

The air conditioner was extremely noisy. We kept it on during the day and just turned it off at night. The remote for the tv didnt work either. Worst part about this place was how noisy it was. People upstairs were pacing around the room all day and the people next door were loud and opening and closing doors all day. Spend a little extra and avoid this place. The room itself was clean and that was fine. But the clientelle there makes me want to never go back.

I was in town for the marathon and I wanted to do late check out so I could shower after the race. I asked for this at check in, was told I could, and confirmed that they would not charge a fee for it. I got back from the race and was locked out of my room. Went to the desk to deal with the issue and they let me back in. While I was in the shower, the cleaning lady walked in because she hadn’t been told the room was still occupied. I left and was later charged $30 for that late check out. Tried to reach out for a refund and got NO RESPONSE. You’re better off in a tent. Avoid this place completely.

I am giving a poor rating, due to the fact the front desk could not find my reservation. I made a reservation on a month in advance for an adult and a child. Arriving to Motel6 and not having a room to rest with a child at close to 8pm at night, it is very frustrating. The Motel6 MANAGER was a no show (or gave assistance) when the front desk clerk notified of my reservation not available in their computer system. It seems there is a partnership disconnect with Motel6 and Orbitz. I had no other option than to ask them if they had an available non-smoking room for 2 nights. Fortunately they were not booked. It also stayed within my budget. However, what about if they booked? I had planned to go to Sesame Place and SeaWorld. Very DISAPPOINTING and UNPROFESSIONAL!

This location looked nothing like the photos online. Absolutely nothing. It was chock full of drug addicts and transients. Our room got moved from our original booking and we were not told it had an adjoining room door. It was paper thin. The addict next to us sang and whistled NONSTOP for over 12 hours. Semi softly. But the door was so thin it sounded like he was singing in our room. We didnt get any sleep. At all. Super unsafe area. Took my dog out to pee and there were no less than 5 random transients staring at us, posted up all over the property. They made all kinds of loud noises and we were worried about our cars. Next to a busy Highway, but I knew this. AC worked great, it was clean and cheaper than other hotels close to downtown, old town, and beach. BAD STUFF: A lot of homeless and shady people around hotel. Bed was like an Old Spring Mattress that had flat spots/worn springs and really uncomfortable. Then the room would rumble literally every 10-15 minutes by some type of equipment. I thought it was someone playing a loud car system but nope, never figured out what it was - I DID NOT SLEEP VERY WELL AT ALL!!!

It’s a Motel 6, so it is bare bones. Did not go in with high expectations. The clientele is a little sketchy and the front desk has to lock its doors at night (they’ll let you in, of course). The bed was comfy, though. Good in a pinch when on a budget.

Check in is quick but the property is wet and dirty. Pool water never cleaned from inside hallways, carpet has stains and looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years. Elevator is dirty and is sticky everywhere. The price for the room after experiencing this mess is not right at all. Price isn't worth it. Police hanging outside and tires slashing in daylight. Would not recommend.

Modern reception area. Friendly and professional staff. Accommodated my request for the quietest room available. Renovated room. Very clean. Towels and sheets were white but didn't smell bleached. Slight strange odor in bed, possible blanket needed to be washed. Loved the 3 Pillows, perfect for a side sleeper. Mostly quiet. Considering location right next to 8 Fwy, so occasional loud speeders zooming by in the middle of night. Overall stay was Very Good.

The room was reserved at a great price for Comic Con. However, the bathroom and room floor appeared to be dirty with grim. We asked to have it cleaned and they responded pronto. There is a refrigerator but no microwave or coffee maker. The microwave and coffee maker is a standard amenity that is missing from most motel 6 hotel rooms. I think if they upgrade these amenities it would make the stay more enjoyable and more sort after. The location was safe and had plenty of parking. Pool was open late. I would consider to stay here again. I just have to remember to bring a coffee maker or microwave. 😂

First, upon check in a guest in the lobby wanted a pillow. The front desk clerk did not have means to get him one. 2nd There was trash everywhere and they need to pressure wash the walkways because they’re full of dried liquid. Room was good. Great housekeeping. I also got a call that somebody stole DoorDash from somebody’s front door and it just made me feel like it’s not a very good area. There was a guy screaming outside and I’m hoping it was the guy that lost his door. Otherwise it was just another crazy person there, then I asked for a microwave and she said yeah but she got to move rooms and then I packed up all my stuff and went down to the lobby and I had a lot of stuff and when I got there, she said it was gonna be $35. I ended up getting a room that was much bigger cheaper and cleaner and had a kitchen and a full-size fridge and a microwave and a coffee maker and an ironing board which Motel 6 has none of for $20 cheaper And 3 miles away

It was ok there were a lot of homeless people outside the hotel asking for drugs from everyone walking in. They didn’t have a microwave which most hotels do and the had no shampoo or anything like that to shower I called the front desk they said they were out. They offered coffee in the morning but that was gone really fast.
