We have been there 4 times in the last few years. We like it cause it has a private beach, you can fish right there. The pool is nice the breakfast on the weekends is great. It’s convenient to everything and quiet. The rooms could be cleaned a little better, I cleaned the room when we arrived. Beds comfortable. The courtyard and bbq grills are great. All the staff is extremely nice. We will definitely go back again

The hotel is clean unlike some other reviews. It’s not the most modern but that is typical for the area. Customer service was fantastic. I was disappointed the pool bar/ dining was closed during our stay but it’s not peak season yet. The proximity to the lake is amazing!

Floor was filthy and bathrooms were so old! Pool was gross and asked them to clean it, forget beach area. Not ideal and tiny! Left two days early and switched hotels!!! Not walking distance to town either.

It is most likely a motel, need a little bit of updates, and the cleaning staff need to remove the spiderwebs everywhere, other than that if you don’t mind it is a good place to stay, the pool was perfect it is a heated pool which wasn’t in the hotel amenities/detail. The bartender is very nice and kind, he will serve you good breakfast and drinks, on a poolside. The lake was an amazing view from my room to the courtyard.

The outside of the building appears a bit run down. The pool, patio, pavers are in great shape. The pool is heated which is great. The beach is clean and nice, but the swim area is way too small. The water view rooms are quite a distance from the beach area. Plenty of easy parking. Town is about 1 mile walk. We rented kayaks from them. The seat backs are bent in half, cracked, and dug into our backs. The room looked nice, but the floors were sticky. There was sticky dust in the corners, dirt in the corners of the bureau drawers. The bed was decent and clean. The shower had acceptable water pressure and the temperature was great.

Everything was good, only wish the poolside grill and bar was open everyday, it opened on Thursday morning before we checked out had breakfast there, was very good and reasonably priced.

This is not a resort! It's a motel with a lake view. Was given a room that smelled absolutely horrible and had bugs. I was then given another room in which was better except for the floors which were sticky and disgusting. Would have given it 1 star except the customer service was great.

Check in was fine. Resort was fine. Beach lovely and view lovely. Rentals a plus. Bring your own life jackets. No so happy about cleanliness of room. Dirty drapes, walls & sticky floors. Beds were clean. Need a paint job, curtains cleaned and regular mopping. Everything else was fine.

The view and accessibility to small beach were the only positives. This place needs a lot of updates. Property maintenance, pool cleanliness. Room was dark and humid and floor was filthy. We booked 3 days and left on the last night to stay in a different place.

While this property had a good location, the bathroom was filthy. Black mold on the floor and the entire floor and counter had to be cleaned, so I did it myself with Clorox wipes. Beachfront was loaded with goose crap, which the staff never cleaned up until Friday morning, for the busy booked weekenders. Staircases needed sweeping or vacuuming. Old property which has been updated. Nice patio areas. Beds very comfortable. Maid staff not good at all. Cleaning practices need to be enforced. Watched grounds maintenance drive around in gold carts all day never doing anything. More attention needs to be paid to their beachfront cleanliness.

Really didn’t live up to expectations. Room very clean except the floors. Plumbing very loud. Old building however very functional. Great service at pool. The price was very reasonable for lake George. I guess I just couldn’t get past hearing my shoes stick to the floor with every step. I did ask for them to be cleaned mid stay and they did not.

The room we were in smelled of mold, and was not cleaned well. There was a significant amount of hair, and unknown particles on the ground in all areas that wouldn’t be covered by a quick mop of the entrance & between beds. It was so gross, that we decided to leave without staying in the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This is unfortunate as it’s well placed, and has a beautiful view of Lake George. With a $400 price tag for the night, this decision wasn’t taken lightly. Highly disappointed overall.

Great location close to town and private beach and pool. The rooms are basic but clean and come with mini fridge and microwave. The only complaint is that the A/C unit was super noisy and disturbed the quality of sleep. So was the fan in the bathroom otherwise was good accommodation for the price charged. Will return thank you!

Overall, underwhelmed for the price. Pros: Beautiful view of the lake, ultra cold AC, powerful toilet flush. Kayak rental and launch was easy and reasonable. Appreciated that the room did not have carpet. Cons: Tiny bathroom needs serious updating (I did not feel comfortable walking in there without shoes and did not want to shower there). Spackle, rust, peeling paint, generally old fixtures and toilet had movement. Walls were thin, pillows were hard, and 5 bugs and one spider joined us in our room. Two inch screw was found in the sand next to my beach chair. Luckily I picked it up before anyone could step on it. Not sure if all rooms are in this condition, but ours left a lot to be desired. I most likely would not stay here again. 5/6 out of 10.

When we arrived we got a complimentary upgrade in our room which was great! The lake views are beautiful! Rooms are nice and upgraded as well as all the patio furniture. The floor in the room felt as it wasn’t vacuumed/cleaned thoroughly since we could feel a Sandy texture. Staff was friendly! Especially the pool maintenance gentleman that opened up the pool for us after a storm had passed. Will definitely stay here again!

It Was average, on the web sight it indicated lake view however we were expecting a view of the lake from the room. The way the hotel is situated you can view the lake from your balcony only! If the hotel was built facing the lake you would have an excellent view from your windows. Other than that the establishment was average and a place to sleep!

I was given a room (407) with a damp, musty odor, mold, rust, cracked and chipped paint, cobwebs, dust, spiders. I requested a room change and was told no, even though the clerk Suzanne told me that there were 28 other rooms that hadn't been checked into yet. She gave me the option to leave the "resort" and my non-refundable room. She also told me that she didn't care. There was nowhere else to go, and they already had my money. On the second day, no one even bothered showing up to clean our room, despite 3 requests! I made several attempts during my stay to remedy the situation. I requested to speak to management and the owners and was refused. They didn't even care enough to speak to me. I took many pictures of the conditions but no one cared. I have previously satyed at this property before in another renovated section, under previous ownership, and enjoyed my visit, but under new ownership and management, my concerns were not addressed whatsoever. I will not return. Shame on the David and Theresa Menter Family, and Wakita Properties, LLC. They also have other properties in Lake George. Profit before people. Buyer beware, do your research.

This is a wonderful hotel on the lake, very close to town. The pool is heated and lots of nice furniture. The grounds are well maintained and the view from the room is terrific. Lots of beachfront here. You can walk across street and wait for a $1 trolley to get into town - they run often so not much of a wait. Staff here is very friendly and helpful.

Not bad for the price. Currently being updated. Nice grounds and staff. Suzanne at front desk was helpful and a nice person. We went during car show weekend so parking became very limited as motel guests brought 2 cars rather than the allowed 1 car and towing trailers took up an extra space. It isn’t hard to follow directions humans! Front desk was as accommodating as they could be. Maybe the owner could stripe the parking lot and put the room number in each spot. Just a thought! We will stay there again, great view and clean pool.

I didn’t come as I thought this past weekend but it was specifically told to the staff who took the last nights reservation NOT TO CHARGE THE LAST NIGHT and they did anyway. Not only that but when cleaning services came in and replaced towels, the towels had hair in them, gross. Overall this whole reservation was challenging. Not sure we’d choose this place again.

This is a wonderful hotel on the lake, very close to town. The pool is heated and lots of nice furniture. The grounds are well maintained and the view from the room is terrific. Beautiful location, nice beach and pool and very convenient pool cafe. Like many lake George hotels, there are some webs and bugs and the rooms could use a little updating. The bathroom and balcony need a more thorough cleaning. LOTS OF STAIRS to climb up and down to the beach. Nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed the cafe and our entire stay and will definitely be back next year!

Our stay was great! The property was clean and well maintained. Only 2 issues- We wanted to kayak but we were told to do this in person. When I did I was told to come back that you can’t do it ahead of time. We ended up not going- the office was always busy. That was disappointing. Also, the toilet was incredibly loud.

It was a nice stay the lake had very nice access. The kayaks are bit more expensive $20 for an hour, the bar near the bar was very nice and food the man who made us food was very chill and the food was yummy not too expensive. We had some music playing the first night and apparently got complains because it was to loud at 940 PM so don’t play your music to loud but overall was a nice stay.

We were there only 2 nights. The resort is a little old but well kept. The location is great; less than a mile north of the village of Lake George, NY right on the lake. They make very good breakfast sandwiches. The only unsatisfactory thing was the floor in our room. It wasn’t swept or mopped. My socks turned black from walking on it. We do want to stay there again; hopefully the floor will be cleaner.

Really liked the heated pool and view of the lake from almost anywhere on the property. recreational equipment was avaialble but did not have a chance to use it. We were not made aware of the breakfast option served from the pool bar area until we were already leaving so missed out on that. And maybe being petty but the single ice machine is a hike to get to from most of the rooms .would be great if there were one on at another location besides all the way at the bottom of the terrace..maybe at the pool level for example

I really like this property because I love how you cat was close to the rooms and didn’t have to walk for to unpack or load up , also loved how they made fresh breakfast every morning , had drinks and lunch ! So convenient after a long day in town and don’t want the hassle of being around the crowds.
