Location was exceptional! But if you wanted anything, that was an excellent plus, because literally half of the advertised amenities were unavailable! This was undisclosed as well! In my opinion, consumers should be made AWARE of these issues upon booking... upon arrival at the latest... when requesting a "damage deposit fee"- there was AMPLE time, in my opinion to state: "the gym is unavailable, none of our vending machines work, the juice machine is out of service for breakfast, and there are only a couple of options available for breakfast, meaning it's not the 'typical' simple optional breakfast expected from a Quality Inn." As a Paying Consumer, I feel as though there should have been the option given to remain after this disclose or find another dwelling... but there WAS no disclosure. No discount. In fact, there was a unrecognized fee in which I did not sign for. The addition non refundable fee I signed for, was a complete different amount in which I signed for after it was explained to me.

Our rooms were on the second floor and we were told we would have to take the stairs at the end of the hall. I did not see an elevator so seemed like an accessibility issue. It was not fun to drag suitcases up the stairs after traveling all day. There were several people who seemed to be living in an unmarked hotel room at the end of the hall. When they cooked the whole hallway smelled like food and the occupants were loud until midnight. My room was next to this room and it was hard to sleep. The carpet was dirty. I walked barefoot from my bed to the shower and dirt came off my feet in the tub. Lastly the lock to my door was broken. We left in the morning and asked for a refund for the second night.

Service was excellent John at the front desk was very nice. The rooms were decent, beds were comfy. I would say that they should've had more garbage cans than just 1. The breakfast was decent, but I would suggest bigger coffee cups.The pool was decent, overall i would stay again.

The property looked like it was just updated. We were in the area to visit family so we just needed a place to come to for sleep. The staff were always friendly and the hotel is clean inside and out. It is a nice and quiet area. Breakfast bar was fine, small dining area and no elevators but it was actually nice, (only 2 floors).

Dirty and stinky (reeked of cumin and later in the night the hallway was smoky with weed). Tried calling down but they did nothing. Very sketchy area and felt unsafe. People hanging in the hallways. NO elevator. Pool was closed. Breakfast was not as stated. Nothing to drink, just “food” and that’s being nice. Don’t expect much and it’ll be fine. You get what you pay for.

They give a bogus story about the return of incidentals deposit. Took them over a month. Manager lies about it everytime you call. She suddenly closes the pool (that you paid for) at 10 am with another so obviously bogus tale about people throwing glass over the fence at night. Never again will I ever stay at Quality Inn

Trip started with the hotel not receiving my reservation, but John guided me through the process of contacting hotels.com and the problem was resolved quickly. He was very accommodating throughout the stay! Room was clean and comfortable! The only complaint about the room was that the thermostat is motion control and changed to about 78 degrees during the night, we were miserable until we got up and reset it. Hotel is under renovations, lots of workers around and the back door to the place stood blocked open 24/7, not a secure feeling. Hotel is close to restaurants, shops, laundry facilities! Pool was great, plenty of towels! You have to be understanding while visiting, even the breakfast room was temporarily set up in the exercise room! Hope they are able to get the renovations completed soon!

This was absolutely the worst hotel we have stayed in! The room was disgusting! It was not cleaned at all before we checked in. The furniture and counters were speckled with ashes and dust, the beds dirty with what looked like tobacco flakes or black dirt and the other bed with blood stains, and the carpet was covered in broken plastic pieces, hair and dirt and debris. We complained immediately, but being parents weekend at nearby ECU, everything was sold out and it was already almost midnight. We asked for new sheets and the front desk attendant complied. When he came to the room he noted the extreme filthiness and apologized. He actually wiped down some of the counters himself. And he noted the account about the unclean state of the room. However, the manager never reached out or apologized. When we complained upon checkout, the manager gave an unsympathetic excuse, albeit true, and told us we had the choice to leave if we didn’t like it. Then he walked away and did not care. Absolutely the worst stay ever! We were caught in a tropical storm while there and water was coming in the window. The entire hotel is in disrepair and should be shut down for health code violations. Do not believe the reviews. It is a -10 out of 10 not a 7/8!!

The hotel Wasn’t the worse I’ve ever stayed but the constant smell of illegal substances and cigarettes was horrific…. It’s a non Smoking hotel but where everyone smokes goes right through the vents and into the rooms. My son literally got sick from the smell. If other hotels had availability I would have changed without question

The carpets were so gross you could not remove your shoes, they never gave fresh towels or collected trash. The entire hotel smelled bad and all my belongings smelled also, the cards never worked we would always have to go to the front desk the power went out in the middle of the night

Walls were paper thin, could hear everything in the hallways all hours, walls shook and was loud every time someone closed their door. We checked in after 1am and cleaning staff started vacuuming by our room at 7am making it impossible to sleep. Whole property was under construction but didn’t say it on site prior to booking, would not have booked if I would have known. Room was renovated but done very poorly, toilet seat not fastened down, bathroom roof had water leak marks, tile grout splattered all over bathroom, blinds didn’t fit correctly in the window allowing the sun to beam in room. I would fire contractor doing the work. The only good thing I can stay about this property was the staff was wonderful.

While the room itself and the front staff were good, this time our room was downstairs and was connected to an adjoining room. The people staying upstairs were very heavy walkers and I believe we could hear some intimate activities from our room. The adjoining room next door were playing music and speaking loudly as well. I'll go back, but ask for an upstairs room next time. If there's a way to improve the insulation between rooms, that would help.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that the walls are paper thin so you hear everything in the surrounding rooms. Also the AC made a weird noise that sounded like someone spraying a water hose on the window. The beds were very comfortable and we felt safe. I appreciate that they accommodated our request of a first floor room since we were 2 disabled women and a disabled child heading home from advocating for people with rare diseases in Washington DC. I would gladly stay at this property again.

Despite the previous concerns, our room was very nice. It was updated and very clean.The bed spread was a little thin for a cold body like me, but i was still comfortable. The walls are thin and you can hear into peoples rooms in the hallway. However, the stay was great and I would definitely come back.

The room seemed to have had a recent face lift but was still an awkward design with small tight bathroom and the sink outside the bathroom next to the entryway. Toilet paper holder was missing from wall in the bathroom. Overall the room was clean, comfortable and functional for an overnight stay. I did not take advantage of the free breakfast.

The first day of my stay.They cleaned the room.Which I asked .The last couple of days.I went to the front desk .Asked each day for my room to be cleaned before I stepped out.When I came back it was not clean.I was very disappointed and upset.I will never stay there again.Thats horrible to request things to management /front desk.To come back and its not completed.I would not recommend anyone to stay here

They give a bogus story about the return of incidentals deposit. Took them over a month. Manager lies about it everytime you call. She suddenly closes the pool (that you paid for) at 10 am with another so obviously bogus tale about people throwing glass over the fence at night. Never again will I ever stay at Quality Inn

This facility has recently been remodeled on the inside. My room was well appointed with all the comforts of home. The bathroom was large and the hot shower was very comforting. Everything from a hair dryer to a refrigerator to a comfortable bed and great pillows to a large tv was provided. The breakfast buffet was tasty and filling. John and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Great stay!

Trip started with the hotel not receiving my reservation, but John guided me through the process of contacting hotels.com and the problem was resolved quickly. He was very accommodating throughout the stay! Room was clean and comfortable! The only complaint about the room was that the thermostat is motion control and changed to about 78 degrees during the night, we were miserable until we got up and reset it. Hotel is under renovations, lots of workers around and the back door to the place stood blocked open 24/7, not a secure feeling. Hotel is close to restaurants, shops, laundry facilities! Pool was great, plenty of towels! You have to be understanding while visiting, even the breakfast room was temporarily set up in the exercise room! Hope they are able to get the renovations completed soon!

Check in took way too long and the lady was extremely rude about requiring a $100 deposit (which I had no issue putting down, but she made it a huge deal). Our room was fine and the bed was great. The rest of the place is average, but about what you would expect for a quality inn

Check in went smooth and the staff was courteous and helpful. The room seemed to have had a recent face lift but was still an awkward design with small tight bathroom and the sink outside the bathroom next to the entryway. Toilet paper holder was missing from wall in the bathroom. Overall the room was clean, comfortable and functional for an overnight stay. I did not take advantage of the free breakfast.

Rooms were clean, hotel was near most restaurants and retail stores. Desk clerks were polite and helpful when questions arise. The only issue that I had was the water temperature in the shower. Some mornings it was cold other mornings it excessively hot. Room service was almost nonexistent since I was by myself it was not a deal breaker as I did not generate much trash and plenty of towels and other toiletry needs were on hand for my stay.

The property looked like it was just updated. We were in the area to visit family so we just needed a place to come to for sleep. The staff were always friendly and the hotel is clean inside and out. It is a nice and quiet area. Breakfast bar was fine, small dining area and no elevators but it was actually nice, (only 2 floors).

Dirty and stinky (reeked of cumin and later in the night the hallway was smoky with weed). Tried calling down but they did nothing. Very sketchy area and felt unsafe. People hanging in the hallways. My son and I stayed here for Family Weekend at ECU and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, property very clean and nicely renovated, with comfortable beds, and in an excellent location.

The hotel was under construction. I was on the second floor where very little construction was happen. There was noise in the morning but not too loud. The hallway has construction debris on both floor where you can track some debris inside the room. It look like new management where i notice new cleaning lady cleaning the room. They must had downsize of cleaning lady because i notice they don't knock on the door every morning for services. I have to go to the office for services. The room was non smoking and updated and very clean and comfortable. I hope they keep the whole building non smoking. There was construction vehicles which can be a problem of parking at night.

Location was exceptional! But if you wanted anything, that was an excellent plus, because literally half of the advertised amenities were unavailable! This was undisclosed as well! In my opinion, consumers should be made AWARE of these issues upon booking... upon arrival at the latest... when requesting a "damage deposit fee"- there was AMPLE time, in my opinion to state: "the gym is unavailable, none of our vending machines work, the juice machine is out of service for breakfast, and there are only a couple of options available for breakfast, meaning it's not the 'typical' simple optional breakfast expected from a Quality Inn." As a Paying Consumer, I feel as though there should have been the option given to remain after this disclose or find another dwelling... but there WAS no disclosure. No discount. The ratio of quality to price is supurb; this is the best hotel in this price range that we've stayed at on our trip. Very clean. Staff is nice, friendly, understanding. Excellent breakfast; eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, waffles, fruit, juice, yogurt, cereal, bread, etc. Good amount of restaurants and stores nearby. Area felt safe. Couple *slight* inconveniences include no shelves in the shower, and ice maker near our room was a little loud but not enough to wake us from sleep. These were no big deal for us, especially for the price.

This hotel was decent and straightforward for the price. You could tell they have worked to and still making upgrades to the property from its previous state. I could appreciate the no hassle quick check in, the hardwood floors, quiet, and cleanliness of the room. The breakfast had an average amount of variety and was edible. If i were to stay in Washington, NC again I would not be opposed to staying again.

Please alert the staff that slamming of doors at 6:00 in the morning is not appreciated after I get done with work most nights after midnight. I did make a mistake on my booking and the desk staff was extremely helpful in helping me get it straightened out
