The room was cozy but the layout of the hotel sucks. Its a big square with around 300 rooms spread out across 2 floors with only one elevator by the main entrance. My room was in the center of the 2nd floor so it was about a 3-5min walk to elevator if i didnt get lost(very easy to do). The pool and outdoor area was nice. Staff was nice and friendly. Nice hotel other than the crappy layout of it.

Upon arrival I was given a note saying the pool was down due to maintenance. Unable to get my money back to go elsewhere, since I already paid according to staff there. Was 97 degrees. I picked this hotel for what looked like a lovely pool set up.

Last minute trip to the York area for family. Wanted something with an indoor pool, and somewhere for us as a family to hang out and this place was perfect. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was nice with glass shower. Large pool area and nice pool- a little cool for me but my kids had no problem jumping right in. You can tell some things have been changed and they did their best with what they had. Like a fountain that isn’t a fountain (yet?) which was definitely a hot tub in the past. Breakfast was good, had a few different options. No one left hungry.

First let me start by saying that reception personnel were friendly and there never seemed to be a wait time. My big complaint with this hotel is there is only one elevator that is located very far away from most of the rooms...because of that, you are pretty much forced to use the stairs and alternate exits if on the 2nd floor. My room was 240 which is adjacent to the lovely, double metal doors that lead to the stairway. Because of the dog show in town, people were using the stairwell all hours of the night and those doors kept banging and neither myself or my dog were able to sleep for any length of time at a time. This room was also either above or adjacent to the laundry and the noise when the washers were spinning out is very loud in that room. I was there 5 days and am very sleep deprived. I fell on the sidewalk at the corner of the building beyond the entry for the ballroom while I was walking my dog Wednesday evening. The landscaping was all level with the sidewalk except that rounded corner on the backside where there is an approximately 2" difference. I slipped off the edge of the sidewalk, caught my toe on the edges of the sidewalk and landed on my hands and right knee on the concrete injuring the palms of my hands, my knee and probably fracturing my big toe. This made the numerous trips up and down the stairs even harder.

The lobby area and exterior of the hotel are rather immaculate, however the rooms are not. The room that my mother and I were supposed to stay in was not very clean at all. The tiled floor at the entrance and bathroom inside the room were very dirty and had no been mopped in some time. The bed actually had a large bright red area with a hole (resembling a bullet hole) underneath the encased mattress cover. The floors were not vacuumed, the shower head and shower itself were moldy/covered in limescale. Rather than spending money on upgrading the lobby and exterior or the property, renovations and investment in quality cleaning staff should have been made a priority when it came to the rooms.

Our room wasn’t that clean. Dirty sheets and something brown on the wall near the trash can. Staff was excellent except the one female associate at Fenders restaurant. She told me she could not take my order for 20 minutes and then after could possibly. My dad went to the bar and his order was taken right away. She should have just said go to the bar.

Rooms were old and dated. Carpet felt dirty and very trafficked. Bathroom shower caulking was discolored in many areas. Tile floor was gritty due to age. Breakfast was very subpar for being in their restaurant. Eggs were watery and lacked amenities that other hotel breakfasts normally include.

Room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The shower was roomy and high enough for me to wash my hair comfortably. I am 6-7. The shower had safety bars to hold onto. The staff were professional, helpful, courteous. A minor adjustment on the TV was needed. It was addressed immediately. Breakfast was excellent - a full breakfast with wide range of choices. Even the coffee was good (morning coffee in breakfast room). We plan to return next time we are in York.

Quick overnight for a family event in the area. We had a late arrival and an early out, which meant no pool for us as it is closed from 9 pm to 9 am. Breakfast was basic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and bagels. Not the best or the worst. The room was clean, but it lacked a mini Fridge, not a big deal for us, but for an extended stay, it might be. There were no USB charging ports anywhere in the room, and of course, none of us brought wall chargers since this has been standard in most of the hotels we have stayed in recently. It is not a new hotel, but I wouldn't say it needs a remodel yet, but he walls are very thin!!! We were awoken at 7 am by the neighbors who might as well have been in the same room as us, as we could hear every word. The doors all seem to slam very easily, making for other jolts during the night. The staff were friendly and the hotel was busy. The price was fair for what we got.

If youre looking for a nice quiet stay, this isnt the place to stay. You can hear everything in your room. I could hear the neighbor using the bathroom and showering even hear them blowing their nose. Zero sound proofing. Not to mention the courtyard being a party zone late at night trying to sleep you hear it all. Shower was clogged, room smelt like marijuana. Just not pleased at all other than the bed was actually quite comfortable.

Hotel was an older establishment. Overall, it was kept clean. There was a somewhat musty odor in the room. It smelled like a cleaning product that was masking over another smell. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was not up to date and felt more like a bathroom that wasnt updated in the last 20 plus years.

I recently stayed at the Wyndham, Friday evening there was a group of bikers that partied until 6 am! I made multiple complaints to the front desk and nothing was done. The front desk gentleman on Friday evening basically said yea well that happens! I highly suggest if you have a family, kids, or want a peaceful night sleep you do not stay there! It was dirty as well!

Overall the experience was great. All of the staff were very hospitable and pleasant. The food in the restaurant was good. The breakfast buffet in the morning was awesome. They had cereal muffins, bagels, bread/toast, scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, yogurt with toppings, fruit, fried potatoes, bacon, a variety of milk and juice. Room was clean. Pool was fun!

We had additional charges added to our bill after checking out. When checking our credit card company and seeing the charges, I immediately tried contacting the hotel and they said they could not help me but referred me to customer service--I could not reach anyone. We will dispute the charges through our credit card company if they remain. Customer service terrible!! and staff at the hotel totally unwilling to listen to any complaint about the charges or why they added in the first place!! Will not use Wyndham in the future!

Pros: Clean and well kept property. Staff did a great job. Nice and quiet. Also, nice a close to the fair grounds, which was why we were in town (to see a concert). Cons: Our room was very humid. The A/C did fine keeping the room cold, but it still remained humid. Also, the breakfast was somewhat lacking. They had some the basics (eggs, bacon, hash browns, yogurt, bagels), but I've gotten used to waffle makers or pancake makers. No cereal either. But the staff working breakfast did a great job making sure nothing ran out.

My husband, infant, and i were a late check in. Fromt desk was very helpful. Even brought our travel crib to our room so we didnt have to carry it. Pool was small. Breakfast was okay but youre not allowed to take any food out of the restaurant where it is served. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was some tears in walpaper and wear and tear on the walls but i kind of expected that with the price we paid.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham. Our gymnastics team stayed there the night before a competition. The pool was nice and the kids has fun. Rooms were comfortable. Unfortunately, breakfast doesn't start until 7 and we needed to be at the venue at 7:15. We will be booking elsewhere for this yearly meet to enjoy the complimentary breakfast prior to competing.
