The apartment is in a good location in the historic center, It is quite large, although there is only one large bedroom. The bed was comfortable. We did not realize upon booking that the apartment was on the 4th floor, with no elevator, so there are many stairs to climb (this was an iissue for my wife who has asthma). Although there is a chairlift the owner did not have access to it. The kitchen is tiny and it takes a long time to get hot water from the tap. The place looked as if it had seen better days (threadbare carpet, broken toilet hinge, portable air conditioners that are effective but require periodic emptying) but despite this it was confortable. Communication with Antonino was good. VRBO or the owner did not mention the tourist tax of 6 euros per person per day, over and above the VRBO total posted price, and in our opinion they should, even if the tax applies to all hotels and all short-term rentals for Rome in 2024.
