They allowed me to check in early and they were very pleasant about it and let me stay there while they got the room ready which was beyond what they had to do. Staff very friendly room great full kitchen. The phone didn’t work which was a bit of a pain if you needed to reach them. Also wanted to print out my luggage tags but they said that they had a computer but no printer which is very unusual and as I didn’t drive I had to wait until I got to the cruise port.

Front desk clerk was fabulous upon check-in. Easy-going, knowledgeable. Lots of fun things to borrow: waffle-makers, popcorn makers, books, board games, etc. Very convenient, but ask for a room in the back for less NJ Turnpike noise.

Property was awesome - staff was courteous and responses quickly, they text you and you can text the front desk to ask questions at any time. They have an area of stuff that can be borrowed such as board games, waffle makers, etc. There is also an area by the front desk where you can purchase items, including butter, chips, snacks, cereal. There’s a gym and washer/dryer that is free, you just need to bring your own detergent. Overall a great experience and would definitely go back.

When you search for the hotel in the internet tells you that everything is relatively close and when you arrive at your stay it the opposite. The is no transportation service to surrounding areas, there is no good near the proper perimeter. It is completely lonely for a hotel, its location has zero accessibility. Not recommended for tourist without cars.

There are free washers and dryers and a gym. There is also an option to borrow cooking appliances and games. Snacks and drinks are available and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Full kitchen with full size refrigerator. Definitely recommend this spot!

We asked for extra pillows and after about 2 hours we were told there weren’t any. Also our shower curtain smelled like mildew or mold and it took forever find out there we also none. The guy at the front desk was told by his manager to take one out of another room. Overall it wasn’t ok to pay $400 for this room. When we come back next year we won’t be staying there again

Absolutely garbage, filthy, smells strong like cleaning chemicals. Checking in took about 30 minutes bc they couldnt find my reservation. They even charged me $80 for my service animal, which is illegal. Will NEVER go back.

This hotel was nothing short of amazing. The staff was great, always smiling and very helpful. I’m big on cleanliness and this hotel was VERY clean. The rooms are big and spacious. I tried to rebook this hotel for my summer trip in 2025 already. I’m definitely staying here again.

I take a lot of work trips and this location is close enough to the city. Unfortunately, this hotel had a number of problems with it, beginning with the smell of the entire place. Secondly the room had several issues including the fact that the AC was literally falling apart and there were stains on the bed. Normally I’m not high maintenance at all but I ended up checking out early because I was highly uncomfortable

From the moment I arrived, the experience was frustrating. There was a short, stocky front-desk staff member who was more interested in chatting on his phone than doing his job. When I tried to check in, he acted visibly annoyed, as if I were interrupting him. The first room was completely unacceptable. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and sagged badly in the middle. The hotel is directly beside a freeway, and there is clearly no proper window insulation. Sleeping there felt like sleeping on the shoulder of the highway. I could hear trucks braking, cars honking, and traffic noise all night long without any break. It was impossible to rest. To make it even worse, the heater turned on every few minutes and was louder than the freeway itself. Between the constant traffic noise and the noisy heater, getting proper sleep was impossible. After two nights of this, I spoke with a woman at the front desk who finally moved me to another room, which was slightly better—but by then the damage was already done. At checkout, I asked the same front-desk employee (once again glued to his phone) if I could leave my car parked for two nights while I was in New York. He showed zero interest in helping and made no effort to accommodate a simple request. This hotel’s location next to a freeway, poor sound insulation, uncomfortable rooms, and unprofessional front-desk service made this a terrible stay. I’m posting this review wherever I can so future guests know exactly what to expect befo

We originally planned to check in right around 3 but were running late so had to go straight to the concert venue instead. I called the hotel 5 times within a 20 minute time period and the phone would just ring and ring and ring until it hung up. No option for a message or anything. I ended up contacting IHG directly to explain my situation and the IHG representative told me that he put a note on our account and the late check in would be fine. They, while we were at the concert, we get a call from the hotel saying that we are the last to check in and there is only one room left. That room has a water leak so they cannot let us stay there. So now we are at the concert trying to book another hotel. Candlewood said we'd definitely have a room for our remaining 2 nights but at that point we just moved hotels completely. So disappointing.

Front desk was accommodating and friendly. Helped us with an early check in and was informative on how to get to the city. Foyer was festive for Christmas and inviting. We didn’t use the lending locker with various things you may need to borrow but never saw that before and clever touch. Room was decent and clean. 5 minute Uber drive to train station to get to NYC. We were on the first floor so some noise from street traffic but overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if visiting the area.

We were on the first floor so some noise from street traffic but overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if visiting the area.

It was an excellent stay for 1 night! I called to let them know I would be checking in late and they were ready for me. I even got a upgrade without asking. Nicole was very friendly and they young lady that checked me out deserve the same complement. Will look to stay again and recommend to my friends who frequent NY for plays to stay here. It was easy to get to Times Square from this location.

Absolutely garbage, filthy, smells strong like cleaning chemicals. Checking in took about 30 minutes bc they couldnt find my reservation. They even charged me $80 for my service animal, which is illegal. Will NEVER go back.

This hotel was nothing short of amazing. The staff was great, always smiling and very helpful. I’m big on cleanliness and this hotel was VERY clean. The rooms are big and spacious. I tried to rebook this hotel for my summer trip in 2025 already. I’m definitely staying here again.

I booked two rooms and was never told there was a very large deposit per room! That’s a ton of money on my credit card that was not expecting!! So I wasn’t able to buy the things I wanted at a concert I was there for because of that. The front desk was rude, and the beds were hard. The deposit should be told before booking because I would have found another hotel!

The stay and staff was great. Very quick to respond. The only issue was that the sink in the kitchenette back up without being used and water came up and overflowed. The guy guy at the front desk helped out quickly and changed our room so the one we were in could be fixed. No other issues or complaints.

We stayed here for an event at MetLife stadium- the train station is minutes away and very easy to get to. Drove into NYC the next day which was also super easy. Clean room. full kitchen was great.

When you search for the hotel in the internet tells you that everything is relatively close and when you arrive at your stay it the opposite. The is no transportation service to surrounding areas, there is no good near the proper perimeter. It is completely lonely for a hotel, its location has zero accessibility. Not recommended for tourist without cars.

The Candlewood suites was easy to find and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff member that check us in in the evening was a very nice young man who deserves a lot of credit for his fantastic customer service and efficiency. He explained all our benefits that came with the hotel, showed us where to find the each of the amenities and our room. The hallways were a little dirty but there is a lot of people who go through there throughout the day, so the staff may not always be aware of trash in the hallways. The other gentleman that works at the front desk was not as efficient as the young man. We came down to get a water from the snack area they had and when asking him to bill it to our room, it took him over 10 minutes to bill it to our rooms and get us on our way. Had to repeat that we wanted to just charge the water to our room and repeat our room number several times. He was slow on the computer, but that was a very minor inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again.

Property was awesome - staff was courteous and responses quickly, they text you and you can text the front desk to ask questions at any time. They have an area of stuff that can be borrowed such as board games, waffle makers, etc. There is also an area by the front desk where you can purchase items, including butter, chips, snacks, cereal. There’s a gym and washer/dryer that is free, you just need to bring your own detergent. Overall a great experience and would definitely go back.

Great place to rest! I would say there are limited options around for food but it is close to bus stops and not far from the American Dream mall. I would mention walls are thin so you can hear when someone slams the door or throws something, other than that, it is neat and is nice to rest at night.

I really like the little market inside the hotel, especially since we had no car. It really helped traveling with 2 teenage boys who eat all the time quick morning options, or late night snacks was a huge plus. Beds were super comfy and we slept great all 5 nights. Only downside is that it’s kind of out of the way from everything we did so we spent a lot on Uber rides. But overall we really enjoyed our stay had what we needed.

The location of the hotel is not far from some popular attractions. It is quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. There are no facilities within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is quiet and clean in terms of hygiene. The only drawback is that the bed was a bit small for three of us. It would be perfect if we could arrange a large and a smaller bed! Overall, it is worth recommending. After all, the price, environment and facilities match! Next time I come, I will consider staying here.

No breakfast was a bummer but the free coffee was good. The $250 deposit is still not off of our account even though the front desk employee at your hotel upon check-in said it would drop off when we checked out. This charge was a total surprise to us and not explained well at all on the booking site. The room (and hallways on our floor) smelled terrible and I reported this to the staff upon checkout because I think it was originating from the sink drain. The person at the front desk upon checkout said that she would tell Maintenance. The shower hose is old and needs cleaned or updated because the pressure was very low and it took forever to get hot water flowing from it. The front desk person at check in brought up a Febreze spray to spray our room because the smell was so bad.
