Staff were very helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Lift wasn't working at the time of our stay due to a part being out of stock but we overlooked this because the staff worked hard to help us. Manager was excellent at dealing with situations

Stayed for 1 night en route to highlands. Easy to find and plenty parking. Room fine, huge bed, clean and tidy. Pillows a bit soft but that’s just preference. Small grassed area at side of hotel for pooch. Pub next door serves food which saved going into town as we arrived a bit later. Bus available into town or a short walk. Breakfast was ample and tasty with plenty of choice. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Dog friendly too which was the main reason for us choosing the hotel. Would recommend

The staff was excellent, but I stayed on the 2nd floor for 5 nights. The Lift broke down on my first night and was not working when I left on the morning of the sixth day.

The hotel felt “well used” and a little tired. The buffet breakfast was good, but the layout was haphazard. We noticed a lot of guests asking the same questions “where’s the cutlery?”, “is there toast?” We were given an accessible room (no idea why) and the bathroom felt a little unclean. The light was switched by a pull cord which was dirty and the level entry shower meant the entire bathroom floor was wet even though the shower curtain was used. The bed was comfortable and we did have a good sleep.

The staff were welcoming and happy to help with any requests we had. The decor was as expected, tired and in need of a revamp. But everything was clean and working well. We enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of parking, good size room, lots of storage and they served food and drinks on their premises all day as well as a great breakfast with lots of options for hot or cold. Pub located next door for other dining options.

Room was a little small but had everything we needed and it was only for one night. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was well organised and staff cleared tables quickly and made sure provisions were topped up. Would stay again when in Perth.

Good location for a travel stop. My room, 110 I think, backed onto the bar/reception toilets so was pretty loud. There was also banging door for much of the night unfortunately so I had a terrible sleep. Very reasonably priced though.

Stayed in family room 22 which was located next to bar. Noisy and had a door constantly squeaking throughout the night. Unable to sleep and my 9 year old daughter had a dancing competition the next day. Was really looking forward to our stay and very disappointed

The property is very clean and service is excellent both at the bar and breakfast, which pretty much is what we look for in a hotel. Rooms are very small. If you are just sleeping overnight it works fine but no real space for relaxing. The biggest drawback is the aging of the hotel. It badly needs an upgrade, my bet is that the interior is at least 20 years old.

Perth was chosen for its central location for day trips to the 4 corners of scotland. Holiday Inn was chosen because of their high standard for customer service. Hotel is starting to show its age, but definitely would choose this hotel again.

Ours was a one night stop on our way to Thurso. Convenient location, easy to find. Check in was straight forward. One of the receptionist could be under training as she did our room keys which didn’t work and on return to reception desk, her colleague showed her what to do. Then no problem.

Excellent location for our needs. Clean, quiet and warm. Staff welcoming and friendly. In particular John who checked us in, getting a warm, helpful welcome, sets the tone for the whole stay. Also, Emma who was friendly and helpful. Location maybe good, room maybe nice, but it is the staff that make the difference. 5 stars for the staff, thank you.

I am leaving a low star review as this hotel was less than kind. Do not expect them to have any sympathy for you. I booked a 2 night stay and before we were going to be there, I sent them a message asking if I could just stay one night due to my son's medical condition. I explained to them about my son, but the hotel did not bother to respond to me. I then talked to them when I got there and they said I booked it through Expedia so there was nothing they could do. I then talked to expedia and they said no problem with one night and called the hotel. The hotel then said they would deny this request even though expedia was fine with it. In addition we got an advance notice that the hotel lift wasn’t working and for us to understand that this may cause complications. Well, I showed understanding to them but do not expect any caring or compassion from them. I still paid for the 2 nights of stays while only staying 1 night so they got everything that they wanted. By the way, over my 1.5 weeks in the uk, I stayed in 9 nights with Holiday Inns and the other Holiday Inns were great. This Holiday Inn is just not good at all and the Holiday Inn international brand should rethink its association with this particular hotel.

Staff service was excellent. When informed that my son had severe food allergies (egg and milk) Emma on reception went above and beyond to ensure rhat he was catered for for breakfast the next morning and that everything was safe. She briefed her Manager and team and personally attended to us in the morning. Excellent service. Will stay here again when in Perth. Only complaint was family room was a bit cramped for three - okay for one night.

The staff were very helpful, breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and a huge variety of options. However!! The access to this hotel is very confusing and sat nav leaves you high and dry on a main road. The hotel is accessed from an industrial estate off the main road and sits back from the main road behind railings. The other issue, which no one has any control over ,were the work men staying over who decided to have no regard for anyone else and spent half the night making noise, clapping laughing to the point where another resident went and spoke to them... we had travelled over 600 miles that day to get close to our destination and just wanted to sleep .. we ended up with 3 hours!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a great breakfast that is included with your stay. The hotel has king beds, which is lovely. It’s in more of an industrial area, so not really a lot you can walk to or anything and we found the city of Perth to be similar. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall everything was clean, but rooms could use a bit of a refresh. Good stay for the price.

A great stop-off en route to the Highlands. Polite and pleasant welcome from Anna on Reception. Decent room with big bed and all one would need for a short stay. Breakfast (hot and cold offerings) sets you up for the day. Good levels of cleanliness, except for cigarette ends in the allocated smoking areas - though this says as much about the people who drop this litter as the hotel itself. Would recommend this hotel.

This is one of the better Holiday Inns in the area. It was clean, quiet and most everyone was pleasant. Breakfast was the typical scrambled eggs, granola & yogurt stand. The gluten free and dairy free options were pitiful. Sadly, this isn’t unique to just Holiday Inn but a tiny tray of uncooked oatmeal & cornflakes? Ugh. Other than that it was good enough to stay again. Just bring your own food or leave for breakfast.

Room comfortable and clean. Service from staff was good. However, breakfast was not great. Coffee from the machine was horrible, undrinkable. Bacon was dry and greasy and scrambled eggs were poor too.
