On arrival was informed no breakfast but there was evening meals, parking wasnt great but we managed, shower wouldnt turn off so had to call hotel to come help at a late hour, bathroom door wouldnt close which wasn't ideal with an autistic 6 year old who loves water, hair dryer didnt work but was only PAT tested in June so had to leave hotel with wet hair not good! No one was around when we was looking for some extra toilet roll...so had to buy some from local shop, Asked for our room to be freshened up, was told by front desk that housekeeping would go in to make beds, clean bathroom and replaces towel...only for us to get back and nothing had been done expect for a pile of towels on our bed. They also left bags of rubbish in the room which we had in bags neatly placed which i thought was rather stupid!

Starting at check-in and right through our stay the staff were helpful. friendly and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was great. Previous reviews had mentioned hot water issues, so I checked the temperature and it was tepid. When reported was resolved very quickly. This place is nice but the staff make it more, I felt they really want you to enjoy not just Lovat Hotel but also Perth.

Sarah the general manager was amazing. We had a minor issue with our first room and they were quick to resolve it and move us the next day. We arrived very late so we were fine with waiting until the next day. Sarah was so friendly and helpful. She helped my daughter carry her luggage up the stairs. She personally showed us our room and gave us good tips of what to see in the area. She definitely took care of us. She was so much fun to talk to. We were sad to be checking out. Our room was spacious for our family of 4 and the kids enjoyed having an area to themselves. Will definitely be going back the next time we are in the area. Thank you Sarah!

Never normally write reviews but if it helps others to know what to expect in advance they may look elsewhere. Pictures online don't reflect reality. Hotel very, very dated. No breakfast which we weren't aware off. Pillows in room were awful so had a very poor sleep. The showers were mentioned in previous reviews which I thought were probably exaggerated but they weren't. If you stay more than a night you will need to go elsewhere to wash. Shower trickled out. Would not recommend unless the hotel has a major refurbishment.
