Clean room but in a separate building from main hotel building, it looked like a private house and felt like you where going into someone's home. Everything felt old about the room but bed was comfy, lots of noise from people coming and going from they're rooms and our room was 2 doors away from a noisy front door. Website stated buffet breakfast but when we got there we where given a sheet of paper with 6 or 7 breakfast items on it and asked to tick what we would like. I am vegetarian and there was very little I could eat from the list...tomatoes and beans I think was the choice so I didn't go to breakfast, my Husband did go and was very underwhelmed by it saying he got one of each item he had ticked on the sheet of paper, he would have taken a few slices of bacon and a couple more sausages had it been the advertised buffet breakfast. The hotel had a nice bar area and we enjoyed several rounds of drinks. The young lady who checked us in and served at the bar all night was super nice, very friendly, professional and a great asset to the hotel

Staff are exceptional service was great the hotel is a little tired but rooms were clean and adequate. Roseline was excellent on reception. The bar being open later for guest is great. The breakfast was good and the location perfect for visiting Perth and Scone Palace is a must visit. Cannot Thank the staff enough. Would stay again.

Nice welcome from the 2 staff who kindly let us in room a little earlier.Very friendly and smartly dressed. The food on offer was good as was breakfast. The room was large and plenty of space to work in spotlessly clean TV was a little confusing to work. Free parking.

Staff are friendly. The overall external appearance of the building looks 'tired'. The entrance looks refurbished and you can see throughout the hotel where it's part refurbished and some areas in need of attention. There is a secure door entry system to each room which money has been spent on. Priority should be, to get the basic room services up to scratch. Our room was clean but had a television that didn't work, a poor quality mixer shower and dated bathroom. These things mean a lot to guests. If you get the room to a good standard, you have satisfied guests with returning trade.

The room was basic and in a separate adjoining building, but plenty of space. There was no lift to the room. Space for clothes and an iron/ironng board were provided. A kettle and instant coffee, but no tea bags (unusual for UK). The bathroom was clean and soap/shampoo were provided.

The hotel looked nice from the outside. We stayed in room 209 for 2 nights , the matteress was stained. The shower was dripping had to take it down and leave it lying in the bath so we could go to sleep. The 2 hairdyers didnt work took one to reception they didn't have a replacement, had to go out with wet hair. Also plug socket loose. Also when we arrived it took 20mins till someone came to reception I went looking for someone disappointing stay.

upon entering the bedroom we found blood stains on our duvet. the worker pulled off the sheets to reveal a mattress covered in stains of blood and urine. the shower head was covered in mould and the door didn’t close properly unless slammed. we stayed at the time of a private function so the dining room was out of use and a loud group of drunk people were wandering the corridors. we are still trying to get a refund.

Nice enough hotel room with a comfortable, clean bed and clean, albeit dated, bathroom. One thing to note is that the walls are very thin between the rooms and corridors. We could hear everything from full conversations and cups of tea being made, to snoring and everything else… Lots of cobwebs up high around the ceiling and curtain pelmet too.

When I arrived there was no room in the car park. I checked in and then was advised I had to go outside in the pouring rain to access a separate building where my room was located. After climbing up the stairs I arrived in my room which was dark, dingy and dated. After a long day I wanted a shower but the water pressure and fixtures were such that it was nothing more than a dribble and cold. The room was like stepping back in time. The carpet felt gritty underfoot and there were cobwebs on the walls. The mattress was hard. I will not be returning. Travelodge is like a 5star in comparison

The room we were allocated when we checked-in had defects. Bedside lights could only be switched on/off at the wall sockets, the bathroom extractor was inoperative, the shower had part-used shampoo tubes lying in shower tray, sheets/pillows had make-up stains and other unidentified stains. The Velux type window double glazed seal had gone, resulting in a cloudy glass. We asked to be offered an alternative. This was offered and turned out to be a larger room, much more comfortable, cleaner, but clearly in the middle of refurbishment. Holes and watermarks in the ceiling, drawer fronts and wardrobe door fronts and coat hangers were missing. We accepted this room from the manager, relieved that we at least had a partially acceptable space for our two night stay. The manager’s pragmatic approach to our dissatisfaction was helpful and he was perfectly pleasant, whereas one of the front of house supervisors was most unhelpful. The redeeming aspect of our stay was the breakfast service. A clean and bright dining room with a well presented choice of breakfast food and beverages. The service was excellent.

Our stay was awful, was so bad i left and went home. Partner stayed as he had to be up in perth in morning anwyay but his sleep was terrible. So extremely noisy, could hear every creak and tv blaring, doors banging. Was some sort of water appliance above room going off making noise at all hours in morning then u heard masses of water going through pipes. Window wouldnt shut fully it was broken. So heard all outisde noise too. Was in the bed and it dipped to one side couldn't sleep and my chronic pain condition flared up. We got locked out the hotel. Someone locked from inside. So we had to walk up all stairs through the main building and i struggled to do so. The buidling is old, broken, carpets all frayed and leaving around 230 this monring to drive 50 mins home wasnt convenient. Think a refund would be nice.

I was in the bit of the hotel which is made from an old house which was odd but quite charming. However, the public areas and even outside were all a bit "tired" and in need of an update/tidy up. The staff made up for this by being helpful and attentive (eg fixed TV issue very quickly) and the room itself was comfortable and clean with a HUGE bath and nice touches, such as bottles of water. Despite the slightly jaded public areas, I would stay again.

Very outdated rooms. No attention to detail. Duvet was too small for the bed, although bed was comfy, no fridge to keep the milk cold and very little of it to go with the tea and coffee piled up on a tray. Not value for money at all.

Stayed here many years ago and many changes to this hotel - for what they charge it is excellent value for money - however on arrival I was discussing checking in, early I may add, when the phone rang and the general manager, the lady attending to us, decided to stop our interaction in favour of answering the phone - I detest this action - this call could be heard by all standing in reception and tasted approx 5 mins - I must say I was not amused and had I not already paid in advance I would have walked away - after the call which was made public knowledge I was attended to and taken, early, to my room - however the way we were spoken to was not very apt - the rooms are excellent value for money and I would recommend room 215 apart from the shower which was virtually impossible to regulated

The location is in a more residential area and is hard to find as the actual address is on a busy road and depending what direction you're coming from, you can't necessarily notice that the actual entrance is on another street. The hotel and restaurant are more dated than photos suggest, but overall satisfactory. The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear almost anything from the neighboring rooms.

Breakfast was until 9am. We went down at 8.30am and were told everything was away as we were late. 9 other people came down after us. Gentleman waiter was very rude No cereal. Shrivelled up mushrooms and a little scrambled egg all that was left of cooked breakfast. I asked for jam or marmalade for our toast and was shouted at and told there was none.. very disappointing service.

The whole place was needing a good clean and decoration, stain marks on carpets in the room, the shower hardly had any water coming out of it, the breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had in a hotel,links sausage about an inch long, bacon burnt , hard and crusty, beans & scrambled egg were ok with the toast, drinks ok. Next day bacon a lot better,won’t ever be back won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed here before but things have improved Breakfast is now full breakfast and food is replaced quickly when food runs out. Had an evening meal which was delicious. Staff were very helpful with buses into town. Given option to have room cleaned daily or when required.

Mostly a good stay. Hotel is a little tired but very clean. Staff were very helpful and attentive. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. However, the breakfast was very poor, which was disappointing considering how good the dinner was.

Room was very good but some lights not working. Staff were very helpful but a few did't understand English. Breakfast was very poor with no continental choice apart from cereal. The scrambled egg was dire. A year ago when I last stayed there was a continental choice. Parking is fine. The decor in the public area is really needing updated

Although abit dated, the hotel was clean and staff were great. The dinner at night was excellant, we had the best steak and meals were great. The only down size was the breakfast im afraid, mainly as the cooked breakfast was bought to you as soon as you went in and you were eating cereals and was cold. Not much choice.
