Excellent choice when staying in downtown Asheville. Clean and quiet. Appreciated the complementary parking in their surface lot - no need to navigate a parking garage. Can walk to all that downtown Asheville has to offer. Would stay again.

The stay was fine overall and a decent place to lay your head for the night. It's close to most of the stuff downtown when is convenient. My only gripe is the elevator was quite slow and we resorted to just walking the stairs when we came and left haha.

The pros: location - love walking around downtown straight from the hotel. Free water bottles (cold) from the front desk, free parking. Decent pricing for downtown. The cons: The pool was closed in the middle of summer (which I think should warrant a discount), the interior seemed dingy and dated, the elevator was very slow and loud, seeking like it could break down, the shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor, regardless of the fact that we made sure the curtain was closed. Poor lighting in the room... needed an additional lamp on one side. No outlets near the opposite side of the bed.

This hotel is in a great location. It's close to all of the downtown restaurants and shops. It has a free, large parking lot which was important to us because we were traveling in an oversized vehicle.

We have stayed at other 4 Points before and this place just doesn’t stand up to the standards that we expected. If we had known the pool was going to be closed we would have booked elsewhere

The bed was comfortable, the room was adequate. The overall look of the hotel was run down. The staff was kind and welcoming. We stayed 6/16/23 and the main elevator was out of order.

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good with many options. However, one reason we booked the hotel was because it had a pool. When we arrived we were told that it was out of service, but we could use the pool at the YMCA across the street. We didn’t want to walk there with our bathing suits and without a lock for a locker. So, we were disappointed. In addition, there was no information in the room about the hotel ammenities or check-in/check out or hotel rules. The front desk staff did seem to have correct answers to some of our questions.

Oddly, the last time i stayed at this property the elevators were broken just as they were this time. At least this time there was no fire. Also the entire facilty is smoke free however my room stunk of old stale cigarette smoke. The hotel was clean, the attached restaurant/bar was nice. The staff was very nice and did offer to find a room on the lobby level. Only there for one night so i just tuffed it out. Really need to fix the elevators.

Staff super nice. Grounds and pool great. Room was dirty. Toilet bowl hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. . Woke up in bed with a roach on sheet and one in bathroom. The room is not what I picked out online. Ended up getting handicapped in the basement because they said it was sold out. I booked with lots of availability. Not happy with the room. The staff something about only booking for one night? Not sure if I will book again.

Fist floor seems desolate… I don’t know what’s going on there but it was frightening. I stayed on the second floor. My room smelled like other peoples body odor, musky and felt damp. AC worked but turned off frequently and just made the room feel more humid. The room was tolerable, but I probably won’t be staying there again.

The property is run down. Weird smells. One slow elevator. The phone in the room didn't work. At check-in, the service was super friendly and helpful, but later, when our toilet backed up, the person at the front desk offered to give me a plunger

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It wasn't loud. It worked for me for a weeklong solo hiking trip. Located downtown so youve got all the shopping/eating/drinking within a few blocks. I would stay again!

Hotel is in walking distance to downtown and short drive to attractions. Clean, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. Highly recommend getting the vouchers for breakfast. Great selection and service. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Asheville.

Wires hanging off of the roof into our window. I have pictures from inside and outside. Let the desk person k own and they said that’s not good and that they would alert maintenance. Nothing was done.

We had a room on the 3rd floor that looked straight onto a roof. I felt like I was in a basement apartment in college. The decor, furniture, and lighting are outdated. The bathroom is tiny. On the plus side: easy parking, dining option - the Chop House and Bar is good, it is really close to downtown (2-3 blocks) with lots of restaurants, breweries, and retail, etc. The BEST thing about this place is its people. They are so kind and accommodating. Everyone had a smile on their faces. It’s not the Ritz, but overall it was a nice four night stay.

There were wires hanging outside our window. Our view was overlooking the roof of the kitchen. I told the front desk and they said that wasn’t good and rhey would let maintenance know about it. Nothing was done.

The door connecting to the room next door was so hollow that we could hear every sound coming from our neighbors. Other than that, we found our beds to be extremely comfortable. The location was great for a very competitive rate.

Jenn and Leslie were rock stars! They had a recommended restaurants sheet that was very helpfu, because Asheville is foodie town. The bartender was great - she had a fun attitude and helped set us up on the patio. What a fun place to stay. Leslie was extremely empathetic and helpful when we needed to leave a day early for family reasons. Couldn’t have been nicer. He made sure our Bonvoy points were added as well. Thank you so much!

Everyone on the staff we encountered was wonderful - very warm and professional, from Jenn at the front desk to the serving team in the restaurant to Billy in maintenance. The free water is a nice touch. It's located in a quiet part of downtown, just off the interstate but still very walkable to more active areas - parks, shops, restaurants, Friday night drum circle, etc. The hotel is extremely clean and clearly well-tended, though it's pretty dated - maybe early 90s design? Time for an update, but overall we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the great staff and clean environment.

The hotel clerk refused to accept that breakfast was included in the rate even though I clearly selected it when I booked with Expedia. The manager said that Expedia was a third party and that any issue needs to be taken up with them. I would like Expedia to refund the amount for breakfast on both nights. The hotel's rate are preposterous for a dated eighties type property and rude staff.

Avoid at all costs. There is no way this hotel is 3 starts! It is outdated, grimy, smells and all the lighting looks out of a horror movie. And currently their pool is completely drained. And speaking to the manager about it was the most aggressive and impolite conversation I have ever encountered. Absolutely no customer service from Angie Stroupe.

Had a wonderful stay, very nice hotel only problem we had was with woman that checked us in, also if hotels in downtown area will not let people from the asheville area stay in hotel then that should be posted on website. We just moved here and haven't found a permanent residence yet bc we travel for work the woman at front desk was saying hotels in downtown area do not let locals stay in there hotels I had already paid and reserved room so they let us stay but to me it was ridiculous and lady at front desk was really rude about it. I went there with husband to get away for Easter weekend, go out and visit shops and stuff in town something really haven't gotten to do since came here, apparently they only want tourists there but we spent money and did same things a tourist would do. I was just really surprised she acted that way especially after the flood this town went thru and so many people losing their homes and everything.

HORRIFIC & HEALTH HAZARD! To start, credit card was authorized for a higher amount than when booked through Expedia, not including the incidentals charge which was a separate charge. Stayed 4 nights, with 3 room changes. First room, no hot water at all. Second room, the AC wasn’t working & maintenance refused to come fix it until the next day. Our room was hot, humid & smelly. The furniture, sheets, towels & all our clothes were damp, wet & beginning to smell. We had to sleep in this unhealthy condition because the hotel was booked & couldn’t give us a new room & maintenance never showed. After finally speaking with the “regional director of operations” who happened to be on property the next day, we got moved to a third room. This one was infested with flies. We stopped counting after we killed 23 of them. The “regional director of operations” advised he’d comp our stay for all the inconveniences when he moved us into the third room, but upon checkout not surprisingly he said that he never promised that. He immediately refused to listen to the report of the flies in the new room, or even acknowledge there were any problems with our experience at all. He was rude, aggressive, combative & unprofessional with his raised voice & theatrics storming around the front desk. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! It is literally a health hazard & the person who says he’s in charge refuses to do anything about it, or compensate people for the disgusting experience.

The hotel is very old and outdated. The ambiance around seemed a bit unsafe to be out at night there was a lot of homeless just walking across the parking lot. Also as I was walking my dog there was a prostitute posted in the back entrance of the hotel. Obviously for the price you’re not going to get a 5 star hotel but I wouldn’t recommend this for a family stay.

Room (on the pool side) was quiet and comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Hose cleaning was impeccable. Easy walk to downtown restaurants and shops. Front desk area could use an upgrade, it's more like a mom and pop hotel than a Marriott. Hallways could also be refreshed. Somewhat institutional. But the room was great. Immediate two blocks around the hotel had some unsheltered folk, felt a bit unsafe at night.

Our breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. There was a nice bar for an evening cocktail after coming in from a day of exploring. We walked everywhere from the hotel and never had to use an Uber or our car once. We stayed for 3 lovely nights and will definitely return to this hotel when we return this way again.

Personnel were very helpful and friendly, especially KJ. She was the best. The attached Restaurant, "Cook Shop" FAILED miserably. We ate dinner there once and would never go back again. Service was OK but the food was horrible. I ordered Chicken Marsala and it was presented in a cream sauce. I've had his dish all over America and it was NEVER served in this fashion. I ordered broccoli and it came covered in cheese. I'm diabetic and can't eat cheese. We also ordered fried mushrooms that came out like marbles. COMPLETELY over cooked and 5 times as much breading as mushrooms. The hotel is fine and friendly but the restaurant food and bar needs to be overhauled. BTW, the bartender didn't even know how to make a Bloody Mary as well. Something needs to be done there.
