There was no parking outside hotel so had to find a space on side of road😔. Front of house staff where rude. Pretty disappointed as soon as we got there

Room was pleasant enough but lacking attention to detail - some else's soap and shampoo left in bathroom, no batteries in the remote. Only 4 parking spaces and no available on street parking - had to pay £15.50 for overnight parking. Good location though.

Lovely stay, very welcoming and informative. Room was a bit noisy at points due to building works on a nearby building. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable and easy to sleep in. Located ideally within a short walk to the beach and high street where there was lots of choices of shops and places to eat. Parking was a bit tight too, didnt seem to be many spaces available. There are other parking opportunities if you need them but you would need to pay/walk to/from them.

They said there was parking and when I arrived they had none. The bar and food was closed the whole time. The whole place smelled of damp. The floors were peeling up. The bathroom had a broken slide door! The smoke alarm in the room flashed bright green every 5 seconds and the guests were super loud. The creeky floorboards throughout probably didn’t help. The lady on reception was nice but couldn’t help and the night porter said they couldn’t do anything about the door, the power being off, the alarm or the noise. really poor And put me off ever going back to the area.

While the hotel was convenient to local eateries, it lacked parking as we had to park between two really close vehicles. Then this morning, someone had blocked us in by parking behind us. Fortunately, the gentleman parked next to us moved his vehicle so that my husband was able to maneuver the rental car out of the parking lot. Breakfast was nice, but I'm not sure that it was worth ten pounds a piece. The staff were very friendly and tried to help as much as possible.

The room was a bit dated...in need of a refresh.My tv wasn't working properly, poor reception. I was only stopping 1 night, not a big deal. My one big disappointment is that breakfast is advertised on the hotels website but not available on the day of my stay. Not good.....my advice would be to check with hotel to what amenities are on offer.

Over all it was ok. The staff were really friendly. The hot water pressure on the shower was very poor and the metal frame bunk bed for the little one didn't sound safe at all so we stuck the mattress on the floor. Parking outside is very limited, but there is a near by street with free parking. Good location from the beaches and just a short walk into the centre of Newquay. Would stay again in the future.

Car park is a nightmare - cars parked behind each other hoping that someone wont block you at some point. Shower is a nightmare, literally a thin line of water coming out of the shower head. Really small bedroom. Stain marks everywhere on carpets. Smell of mouldy house inside. Dust in the bedroom - i didnt want to put my bags on the floor based on the bad cleaning in general … Floor does cracking noises when walking. Door of bedroom difficult to open and close you have to push it. Strangers smoking weed on the street in front of the entry door. Difficult to find positive points sadly… perhaps just the location near the seaside…

Hi, it was not a good experience be honest to share this review with you. As value of money £105 this place was disgusting. Toilet sink was awful (full of hairs and nose buds) toielt exhaust was not working , no ventilation . We couldn’t sleep whole night due to birds noise out of the room which makes us so bad whole night. They should let us know before demerits of this place . Receptionist was good guys but place , its look i waste my £105 in to bin. I should offer them £50 for one night if i knew about this place. I personally wanted my half of money back due to stay in smell whole night (exhaust not working ) , toilet was so bad to use. It was my bad i couldn’t make any video and photo as we was so tired and obviously we are over there for enjoy our trip and release some stress and dont want any drama there so better to post

Very nice people are working there. Very helpful and kind. Great location. Tesco express just round the corner open from 6 to 23 every day, which is a big bonus! Close to the beach, city center and restaurants. Bus stop nearby and car park on the site. But wifi only available in the reception, which was very very unconvenient and very disappointing. And unfortunately was not very clean. Blacl mould in the shower, dust in the corner of the room, stains on the window nets, but clean and fresh bed linens and towels. Overall nice stay just shame about lack of wifi it really restricted

Was ok, on arrival room was ok but bed linen was covered in hairs (human) cushions and chair was covered in dog hair.. They then moved us to another room in which the bed linen was clean. Room was good. Shower was very low pressure struggled to wash shampoo out of hair… Communal area were good however we had a drink in bar and the receptionist who you have to ask to service bar could pour a whole pint for anyone who came in so ended up with a 3/4 full pint!! Overall not the best but not the worst hotel I’ve stayed. Great location and Newquay as a whole was lovely. Don’t know if I’d stay at this hotel again, would like to see some investment in rooms and balconies of rooms. Also the hotel should make use of the bar, they had “happy hour” but bar was completely empty and not very welcoming!

Lovely spacious room, spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower/bath. A big thank you to Tracy and Neville for looking after me. Easy access to beaches and town centre, and very quiet in the evening so a good night’s sleep too.

The room was south facing and on checking day the curtains had been left open. As it was a very sunny day the room was boiling. The only cooling available was a fan which did not work, it was replaced the next day.

We travelled as a family of three and really enjoyed that the beach, attractions and dining were all in a comfortable walking distance. The staff at the hotel were lovely and accommodating. Although there was building work going on nearby (not at the hotel itself) this didn’t disrupt our stay as work didn’t seem to start earlier than 8/8:30am. Room was comfortable, clean and plenty of space for the three of us. Thank you!

Never stayed here but so was abit weary but I was pleasantly surprised. Lovely reception & Emma was very friendly & welcoming. Room was clean & tidy, bathroom was a nice size. Bed was very comfortable & had the best nights sleep, didn’t hear a thing!! Very close to the beach & Tescos is at the top of the road. Would stay here again. Only downside is the building next door, appearance is tatty but didn’t put me off Sandy Lodge.

It was comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly. In sn excellent spot 5 mins walk from the beach. Only downside was when we were there they had a party of school aged children staying so the dining room was not open to us oand guests like us which meant having to search for somewhere to have breakfast or eat in our room. A mini fridge in the rooms wouldve been a great addition
