We travel a lot and this was honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Starting with the warm welcome from Rika, we loved everything about this beautiful home from home. The views are stunning, rooms are very comfortable and everywhere was spotless and newly decorated. Breakfasts are the only meal offered here and they are outstanding, with lots of choices. Beautiful views from the dining room too. We appreciated all the extra touches, like two nice lounge areas and tables and chairs on the patio, and provision of coffee and cake, plus glasses and a fridge in the lounge, should you want to bring your own drinks. Most B&B’s seem anxious for you to clear off after breakfast and not return till nightfall. At the Grange, you are encouraged to stay and make yourself at home. What really sets it apart are the people who run the place and make you feel like an honoured guest. It’s no surprise that so many people staying there are returning customers. It’s a 15 minute walk down the hill into Keswick, and access to the lake and many great walks, as well as all the town has to offer. It was nice not to have to worry about parking in town. We had some great dinners (Fellpack Kitchen is wonderful), went to the theatre and cinema, and really enjoyed our time in Keswick. Looking forward to returning and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else but the Grange. Highly recommended

Absolutely stunning place with amazing views and a fantastic breakfast, just a short walk out of Keswick town centre. Lovely clean and comfy rooms and friendly staff; The free cake and coffee in the afternoons was an added bonus! 🙂 We'll definitely be back!!

Excellent property, fabulous breakfast in great location. Clean modern rooms. Off road parking. About 15 mins walk into town down quiet lane. A bit uphill on way back. No bar at hotel but there is a fridge in lounge for your own drinks should you need to. Nice friendly staff. Great place to stay….

Beautiful property. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious-loving the mini flapjack too! Use of the spa facilities at Underscar Manor was a lovely, added bonus! Would definitely recommend!

Had a wonderful stay. Hosts were incredibly welcoming (Mark was there to greet us on arrival). Would definitely stay here again. The Grange was spotlessly clean, breakfasts were delicious with high-quality ingredients. We stayed in room 10 which had beautiful mountain views and a lovely bath/shower. The terrace is a nice place to relax and catches the evening sun. The downstairs lounge with coffee and delicious flapjacks was a lovely welcoming touch. Keswick town centre is a 15 minute walk away with lots of dining options in town. Having access to the spa was great. Good sized pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The lockers take a one pound coin so worth carrying a couple.

Fabulous B&B in Keswick. 10 minute walk in centre so in a perfect location. Ample free parking on site. Staff were all lovely and friendly. We stayed in room 8 and it was a really good size and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked to order and also a selection of fruit, yogurt etc to help yourself too. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful weekend at The Grange Country House at the end of September! We were running a little late on Friday, but when we called ahead, Michael couldn’t have been more accommodating. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed — every member of staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Our room was great, with lovely views and a really comfortable bed — we slept so well! Breakfast was amazing, with everything fresh and locally sourced. We also really enjoyed the cake they made. There’s plenty of parking, and excellent location with only a short walk into Keswick. We will definitely be coming back here the next time we visit Keswick!

We loved our stay; the room was comfortable and cosy, and the whole property tastefully decorated. The breakfasts were eggseptional! We appreciated the extra touches of coffee and cakes in reception, spa access, access to the lounge to relax with spectacular views of the fells. Our hosts Sally, Mark and Rika, were extremely friendly and welcoming and gave us suggestions for local walks. Finally, the location is excellent, as it is in easy walking distance of Keswick town center (although the hill is more challenging on the way back) and you are treated to stunning views of the surrounding fells. We will be back!

Such a treat to stay here. The mountain views from the terrace, glorious sunsets, a beautiful house with serene interiors and excellent service, always with a smile from the family members who work here. Breakfasts here are delicious. At last, a chef who knows how to cook tomatoes and mushrooms! And the marmalade! Just perfect.

When arrived shown room which was fine. I dropped the breakfast menu which went under bed, when i went to pick it up i looked under bed it was full of rubbish not just bits but packets& crisps. Superb!!! Spotlessly clean, a beautiful property with excellent facilities and beautiful decor. The staff were simply brilliant, attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast was delicious, nothing was too much trouble. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!!!

On arrival the greeting was so welcoming. We had also had an upgrade in room. The room spotless and a gorgeous view of the well maintained garden. The breakfast was amazing with both a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt. Then a coked breakfast with several choices of either full cooked or eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs and bacon, eggs Florentine also vegetarian choices. This was an outstanding experience.

Hotel was spotless, really clean, comfortable and a cosy warm bedroom. Breakfast was delicious, and staff were all very friendly and polite. Nice walk into town, however bit of a hike back, as it’s all up hill. Didn’t put us off, and would definitely recommend and book again

We had a three day stay at the Grange Country hotel in September. The welcome was very friendly and the service was excellent throughout. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely 2 night stay at The Grange. Made to feel very welcome on arrival. The bedroom & whole place were spotlessly clean & comfortable and the attention to detail was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough to help & always did so with a smile. The daily flapjack selection was much appreciated & enjoyed too! Thanks very much - we’ll be back.

Me and my wife stayed for 3 nights at The Grange in the Executive double room on the ground floor. Everything about our stay was faultless, the room was large with a comfy bed, seating area with sofa & chairs, large shower, clean, tidy & quiet. Lovely breakfast and the separate lounge area with a coffee machine & small cakes you can help yourself to is a nice touch. Definitely recommend and I would return.

Just back from a 2 night stay at The Grange in Keswick what a beautiful B&B in a stunning location. The house is very pretty, very well kept and it was immaculately clean. Our room rather suite was just beautiful with a queen size bed, sofa, arm chair and dining table and chairs. Ample brew making facilities and off course en suite with a great shower amd fluffy towels provided. Very big, bright and spacious. We had views over the garden and the hills beyond. Plenty of seats outside to sit and enjoy the garden and the scenery. There's also 2 additional lounge areas to sit and relax one which has an expresso machine and cake 🎂 for guests on arrival. The breakfast was first class there was plenty of choice to suit all however, I opted for eggs benedict both mornings as it was so delicious. All fresh local high quality produce was used. Staff were very friendly, polite, professional and answered any questions. It was very quiet no issues with noise from traffic or other guests very peaceful. My husband and I will most definitely be returning next year.

What a fantastic place ! Staff were great, and check-in was a breeze. The room was excellent, immaculate and spacious. The decor throughout is an absolute credit to the owners, vintage, contemporary and stylish. Great breakfast to set you up for a day on the fells. We enjoyed a lovely stay. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was large, spacious and comfortable. There were various breakfast options, including fresh fruit. We chose the full English, which filled us up until tea time. There are plenty of parking spaces too. We would definately stay again.

The common area and breakfast may live up to 5-star, but definitely not our executive double room which is in the attic, part of the room has very low ceilings, we bumped our heads many times. The worst part was the bathroom, there were two steps up and down, the sink was tiny, the area to stand before the sink was so small and I constantly bumped my leg on the stairs behind.

This was our second stay and it didn't disappoint. The only issue was on arrival with there being feather bedding in the room which we'd spectacled to be removed prior to arrival. However as soon as I mentioned it , it was resolved and non feather replacements were in place immediately. Service at breakfast and check in was excellent as was the super fresh breakfasts. Fresh fruit , beautifully cooked choice too. Staff were great and when I asked for some toothpaste as we'd forgotten ours we were provided with some , again immediately. The surroundings, furnishings are all great. Home cooked treats at the entrance are a lovely touch. Thanks guys and hope to see you again soon.

Amazing for so many reasons. The staff (family) are so incredibly helpful, friendly and genuine. Each of them went out of their way to make our vacation better. The House itself is incredible and kept immaculately. The location is a little walk out of town so it is peaceful all the time but close enough to walk into town to tour. Views are amazing from the hilltop perch. Lots of parking and short walk to the bus. Breakfast was incredibly good and well organized. Lots of selection for us Vegetarians. Rooms are spacious and have modern bathrooms and a nice coffee bar. Communications with them was easy and quick and helped clarify things before our visit. Don't hesitate to book this perfect vacation experience. Our time spent there was much more than accommodation.

The Grange is luxurious, yet warm and friendly and one of the best accommodations! The breakfast and service is perfection. The location is perfect - beautiful, peaceful setting & grounds, yet close to Keswick town centre and the lake. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

Lovely place to stay in Keswick, a little bit from the town centre for walking but a very short distance from the bus route into town and elsewhere. Nice room and facilities, food fantastic and the staff simply can't do enough for you. We would certainly highly recommend this accommodation without any hesitation. Its a Gem with plenty of car parking.

Fabulous B&B in Keswick. 10 minute walk in centre so in a perfect location. Ample free parking on site. Staff were all lovely and friendly. We stayed in room 8 and it was a really good size and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked to order and also a selection of fruit, yogurt etc to help yourself too. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a treat to stay here. The mountain views from the terrace, glorious sunsets, a beautiful house with serene interiors and excellent service, always with a smile from the family members who work here. Breakfasts here are delicious. At last, a chef who knows how to cook tomatoes and mushrooms! And the marmalade! Just perfect.

The hotel is situated high above Keswick, so even though it's about a 15 minute walk into town, be mindful that it's a steep climb back again! The breakfasts are wonderful and well organised, the rooms are very comfortable, clean and well-appointed. There's a lovely terrace outside, so if you have good weather, it's a welcome space to just sit and enjoy the view. If I came back to Keswick, I'd definitely be booking to stay here again. We travel a lot and this was honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Starting with the warm welcome from Rika, we loved everything about this beautiful home from home. The views are stunning, rooms are very comfortable and everywhere was spotless and newly decorated. Breakfasts are the only meal offered here and they are outstanding, with lots of choices. Beautiful views from the dining room too. We appreciated all the extra touches, like two nice lounge areas and tables and chairs on the patio, and provision of coffee and cake, plus glasses and a fridge in the lounge, should you want to bring your own drinks. Most B&B’s seem anxious for you to clear off after breakfast and not return till nightfall. At the Grange, you are encouraged to stay and make yourself at home. What really sets it apart are the people who run the place and make you feel like an honoured guest. It’s no surprise that so many people staying there are returning customers. It’s a 15 minute walk down the hill into Keswick, and access to the lake and many great walks, as well as all the town has to offer. It was nice not to have to worry about parking in town. We had some great dinners (Fellpack Kitchen is wonderful), went to the theatre and cinema, and really enjoyed our time in Keswick. Looking forward to returning and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else but the Grange. Highly recommended

On arrival the greeting was so welcoming. We had also had an upgrade in room. The room spotless and a gorgeous view of the well maintained garden. The breakfast was amazing with both a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt. Then a coked breakfast with several choices of either full cooked or eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs and bacon, eggs Florentine also vegetarian choices. This was an outstanding experience.
