Large room, comfortable beds. Reception and bar staff friendly and helpful. They are renovating the building so have to enter through an emergency exit at the back of the building. Not that much of a problem though. My only complaint is that house keeping use the guest lifts when moving between floors. Meaning when your trying to use them in the morning you have to wait whilst they put all their equipment in and out of the lift with little space for you to get into the lift. This happened twice to me and the second occasion I ended up travelling up and down in the lift because i couldn't get to the lift button and the maid didn't have the curtesy to press the lift button for the ground floor. Really annoying.

This hotel is within a few steps of Norwich Football Club with ample parking. The hotel appears to have been refurbished in the public areas and was very appealing. The rooms were a bit dated but large and comfortable. Shower was over the Bath which I don’t personally like. We ran into a few issues which could easily be corrected by some staff training. The team were not well informed on the times for food service or room service. The room service menu on the internet was very different from the actual menu. The service late at night was very poor and we waited a long time for very disappointing food. We have advised the hotel so hopefully these issues have been corrected.

Nice hotel, located very close to the station which is very convenient to get around. Staff are friendly - nice lobby area to chill and have a drink. Room size is good. My only negative was the one lift not working my entire stay which was frustrating only having one lift in use - caused a lot of congestion - never saw any work happening to fix it. A/C was an issue in the room. I suggest they eventually upgrade the bathrooms to have proper showers and not showers in a bath - that is not safe and not conducive for old people. Despite this I would definitely stay at the hotel again when I return to Norwich.

I am increasingly impressed by Holiday Inn. Nice decor and comfortble bar. Good sized, well equipped room and excellent reception and check out process. Monica and Tetsyna were both welcoming and helpful. The hotel has good parking , walking distance fromt the station and restaurants - and next door to the football ground.

Room was dirty, not cleaned properly. Drawers had Tampax pack, tobacco pouch, and other rubbish still in them from previous guest, maybe longer. Towels left near toilet and not on towel rail or in cupboards. Mentioned to reception, and they had rubbish removed. Plug sockets didn't work. Electrics had tripped. Could explain why housekeeping didn't clean room properly. In the end reception did give discount. But would rather pay full price for better housekeeping and clean room.

Proximity to the train station is quite nice and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel because the room itself was not well maintained. There was black mould growing in the shower because it wasn’t properly sealed. I also couldn’t find a pillow that was very comfortable. But the most frustrating part was there was an intermittent and very loud rumbling sound in my room that kept me awake almost the entire night. I turned off my AC but that didn’t stop it. The concierge said that normally they’d switch my room, but that night there was a football game in the nearby stadium so they were fully booked. I was offered earplugs, but I’d already tried earplugs and I could still feel the vibrations in my bed; I was also worried that if I wore earplugs I’d sleep through my alarm (the only power outlet where my phone could charge was on the other side of the room) and I had a train to catch the next morning. It’s fair to say that I haven’t ever had a worse sleep in a hotel. The staff were polite and accommodating, but they were limited by substandard facilities. I thank them for their efforts, but I likely won’t be staying here again.

We only had breakfast at this Hotel, which was excellent mostly! We didn't like the 9-30 finish during the week. Some hotels serve food much later. Unfortunately I couldn't walk to Norwich because I couldn't walk that far and my friend had to drive each night. Not a problem. I'd like to mention a receptionist called Eva because she was extremely helpful finding another room with an accessible bathroom. Not only that but my friend had an adjoining room. Although the shower flooded the first time I used it! This was pretty dire but maintenance did a great job sorting it out. I presume there was a blockage in the outlet. Re the beds. I wasn't totally comfortable because of the fractures in my spine. We couldn't understand why there were no single beds anywhere in the hotel. Again not a problem, just an observation. I definitely recommend this hotel but recommend you ring beforehand and speak to Monica the Reception Manager to ask any questions you may have. I found that most helpful.Norwich is a good base for travelling around, which we thoroughly enjoyed. This review is from Philippa Dean NOT Martin Dean, my husband because he died in 2023

Room had amazing view into Carrow Road (Norwich City grounds), was really comfortable and was close to a small shopping centre with several choices. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good, best buffet style I've had in a while with it all tasting perfectly cooked and fresh. Not too far from city centre by car/taxi but away from the hustle and bustle of it. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing location in Norwich attached to the stadium. Real estate is large and room was very spacious. Two double beds ideal for family. TV could be improved in size and age. Shower fixture good quality but again could do with an upgrade. Breakfast was great even when busy, credit to the staff and the capital spend. Please keep going

We had a great 2 night stay in a pitch view room. The room was comfy and clean and a great view of the pitch. Beds were very small and not the comfiest. Hotel was in a great location and with onsite parking. Chargeable but as expected for town centre. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back (maybe for a bigger bed/room)

The shower in our room was terrible. It barely dribbled out of the shower head and was very difficult to set the temperature as it kept fluctuating between red hot and freezing cold.

Delightful young lady on reception in the afternoon Made us welcome. Explained how to find lift, and where to find the restaurant. Booked us a taxi for our evening out. She was still on duty when we returned that night, and at breakfast next day. Still friendly and cheerful. Friendly staff on duty in the restaurant at breakfast.

Rooms are comfortable enough but I had an issue with the heating not working in my room. Communication only happened regarding this when I chased it up, and whilst the problem was eventually rectified not a word of apology from any members of staff I talked to. Disappointing.

Incredible service. Everyone was very polite. Room condition was average and the sound proofing is bad. No maintenance on windows. When another room lets they door close our entire room shook. It was still a good stay thanks to the politeness of the staff. Best service ever.

Overall, it is not too bad, but there are still some issues, which I communicated with the hotel as they requested before submitting this review, but they didn’t reply me for a week - what is the point for the hotel to ask me to give a very high score and communicate with them if there is any issue without even reply to me. Secondly, I noticed that complimentary bottled water, which was previously provided daily during my stays, was no longer available.

It's handy for the railway station (and the soccer ground if you were going to a match). But it's not right in the city centre, although a pleasant riverside walk The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed for the price. I'd stay there again if I were planning to break in Norwich (which is perhaps the ultimate test of a hotel).

This hotel is well situated for walking to Norwich town centre. It is also next to Norwich Football stadium. It is easy to get to Norwich and Norfolk Hospital from the hotel, it’s about a 20 min drive or 30 min by bus. Visiting someone in the hospital was the purpose of my stay. There are a number of restaurants and other amenities along the Riverside, to cater for all tastes, which is a short walk (5 min) from the hotel. The hotel lobby was clean and tidy. All of the staff I came into contact with were friendly and helpful. Parking at the hotel is odd. If all of the parking spaces at the front of the hotel are taken there are designated parking spaces for hotel guests in the Norwich Football stadium car park but it is slightly unclear how many spaces there are for hotel guests. The room we were in was clean and tidy and spacious. The bathroom was also clean and tidy but could benefit from being freshened up. All in all this hotel was very central for my stay and I would recommend it as a place to stay. Although I have no idea what it would be like on match days.

Good hotel as a base to go to football or shopping in Norwich. Decent breakfast,room comfy and quiet, and a reasonable price. Not a place for luxury,and no great views ( unless you like seeing a football pitch!) but had everything we needed.

Great location and within walking distance of the City. Close to a great retail park with shops and restaurants. Easy onsite parking and an excellent breakfast. Morrisons next door which was really convenient.

What a great hotel. The food was amazing. Breakfast is well organised and lots of options, including vegetarian. Kids 12 and under ate free - which saved us so much money. The staff were friendly and spoke to our children to make them feel included. The rooms (we had 317) were lovely - only issue was the shower - still hot and functional - but more water poured out of the back of the shower head than the shower itself. But that was the only negative for the whole weekend. We will definitely be booking again!

This hotel is within a few steps of Norwich Football Club with ample parking. The hotel appears to have been refurbished in the public areas and was very appealing. The rooms were a bit dated but large and comfortable. Shower was over the Bath which I don’t personally like. We ran into a few issues which could easily be corrected by some staff training. Great central location, with a grocery store only a minutes walk away. Breakfast was very good and seemed to options for everyone. We were in Norwich during July, and the temperature was nearly 40c, we chose this hotel for the AC.
