I emailed them politely explaining my concerns and how they can make this hotel better. After several days of no response, the internet can hear it. Between TikTok and Instagram, I was catfished. The best parts were picked and posted to social media. What was missing on social media was the giant construction zone, holes in the walls of the pool area, huge slide pieces littering the property, dusty/outdated decor, poorly placed sections of old couches disguised as a seating area in the hall, and hotel staff meetings occurring in the lobby during operating hours and doing my own housekeeping. Plan to get lost, the hotel signs are no help. The bar doesn't have signature drinks, serves cans, and doesn't have a bar menu.

Overall a great stay! Only complaint would be no towels when we went swimming

It is unusual to stay in a partially used hotel under extensive renovation, like visiting a ghost town. Even so, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The gym is fantastic. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are competent and friendly. The pool—the part in use—is great.

Great hot tub and pool. Breakfast in the morning was very good and the staff did a great job with how busy the hotel was over new year.

Nice property. It appears they are trying to make it a popular place and going through some growing pains. Staff is very nice. It was a Saturday and no bartender tending the bar. Front staff (who clearly wasn’t a bartender) was attempting to tend the bar.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms. Only negative was that part of the pool was under construction. Im sure it will be great when that is completed.

It was an interesting place that is obviously in transition. The photos make the hotel seem more like a newer resort but it is only partially updated. The pool and hot tub are nice, but sectioned off from a construction zone of a huge former water park. Our room had old, thin, scratchy brown blanket on one bed and a newer comforter on the other. The decor was from the older frontier themed hotel - with chipped paint and broken blind strings. The staff was nice, but there were too few of them. The front door person also serves as bartender, restaurant waitstaff, and maintenance staff. We had hoped to enjoy many of meals on site but there was not enough staff - and there are only 5 food choices, total. They don’t offer housekeeping even if you start for many nights. I asked for service but was told they were short staffed. We had to request shampoo/body wash, towels, and garage bags multiple times. Again, the staff were very nice and tried to make up for the shortcomings by offering free meals. But the owners shouldn’t be trying to fill this place up with customers until they can meet basic expectations.

The property is huge and beautiful! They are working on rennovating from a waterpark but still had a great pool and hottub available. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like after rennovations! Traveled with family/kids. Continental breakfast has some hiccups with items running out and unable to keep up on the hot food demand. Overall great stay.

The hotel was in a good location, close to a grocery store and trampoline park. The room was huge and had a nice fireplace. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfy. Neither of the televisions worked, no hand soap in the room, and my daughter stepped in dog poop in their courtyard. Also heard a dog barking at 2am and (assuming) drunk people coming from the hotel bar at that time. The pool area was way too warm. Also, you can't see the pool from the hot tub, which was unfortunate because I like to sit in the tub while keeping an eye on my children in the pool. Probably would not stay again for these reasons.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They're still undergoing renovation with flooring and others things but it wasn't noisy or disturbing to our visit. The room was really clean.

The bathroom in my room was extremely dirty, the tub had rust and mold, stains in room 237. There was also someone else’s urine in the toilet when I arrived. When I arrived for breakfast at 6:30 in the morning, almost all the supplies were already out of stock, and there was only half a Cup of coffee left in the coffee craft.

The bed was super comfortable. The gal at registration was very nice. Large hot tub in room was nice but not cleaned well. Room had cobwebs. Torn wall paper. Bathtub was worn and rusty. Box from a birthday cake was outside our patio door in grass full of rainwater. Fridge in room needed to be defrosted. Breakfast food was eh at best. Last guests left their card with door code on it so i wonder how clean the room really was. Didnt see any security cameras where we parked.

Hotel is old and very run down. Hallways are dark such that you have to use your phone light to see the key pad to enter your room code. Bath tub was chipped and stained. TV, when turned on, was tinted bright pink. Outside door closest to my room which was supposed to be locked and accessed by key code was unlocked the entire time I was there.

Went to check in, nobody up front. Finally found someone and he said they were short staffed so he was bartending and doing everything himself. Found out the pool area was closed for remodel, didn’t say anything about that when I booked it. Our bathroom tub had black mold and the sink faucet had white buildup on it so it clearly was not being cleaned. We travel a lot and this was my least favorite hotel I’ve stayed in.

Great hotel, reasonably priced, very clean and tasteful. Kids enjoyed the “up north lodge” feel. They are in the process of renovating the previous water park area into more of a multi-use venue, but that in no way affected the enjoyment of our stay. Really nice continental breakfast in a spacious, comfortable dining area. Would stay here again.

LOTS of kid noise late into the night. Must have been some sport event, but the screaming, running, and banging past 10 PM was a bit much.

Very unique, spacious hotel with an outdoorsy, upscale feel. Found everything to be very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the stay!

Amazing spacious and comfortable rooms with a hotel loaded with amenities such as a fantastic swimming pool and hot tub and free laundry. The included breakfast in the cozy lobby area with rustic decor was great. Staff was really friendly too.

This hotel exceeded all expectations. The service was impeccable. Excellent size room and great location!

Our room was OK. The comforter on iur beds were bumpy looking and the cotton appeared to be lumped together. The rooms were dark and lights were dim. The shower barely worked. Not worth what we paid for but doable for a night stay.

Stayed here for a business trip and everything was perfect. Great Wi-Fi, quiet room, and comfortable rooms!

Breakfast was okay, Service was horrible, im not sure if they have staffing shortage or what, no one on the frint desk you have to wait until someone shows. Phone in the wasnt working and when asked the frint desk she said she doesn't know how the phones work, no one checked thr room to take garbage out and replace towels on our second day, i asked for 2 coffee mugs and they said they don't have any mugs left which was really shocking to hear. I dont recommend the place for anyone they need to work on their staff and services

The hotel is under renovation. Once it’s complete, it will be very nice. We waited about 20 minutes for a front desk clerk to check us in. Nobody was there and we called and rang the bell but nobody came. We the kitchen staff the breakfast was extremely nice. And the breakfast was good. almost left. We didn’t receive any of the Expedia VIP amenity or upgrade. The breakfast attendant was extremely nice. And the breakfast was good.

Payton was an exceptional host. She was very professional, accommodating and went above and beyond! This property is lucky to have such talent.

Awful. Our room was double booked and no more rooms were available for us to stay so we were forced to go elsewhere. Several other people staying also said that the rooms they were staying in were not clean when they checked in. There was only one staff member working the entire hotel for the night. Overall poor experience and would not recommend for people to stay.

Very nice place, Sarah the bar bartender was awesome! She saved our evening after we were locked out of our room for over half an hour because of the terrible key code system. Kye, however, was lazy, rude, and disrespectful. He really didn't care that we couldn't get in our room . Other than that, we had a great stay !

The hotel desk personnel are very good. They helped me through an unfortunate situation where my passenger window blew out a few miles from the hotel. Thank you for your assistance!!

They need more staff. The bartender was also the front desk person. They kept running out of food for breakfast because there was only one person working that.

Good: There wasn't an event going on, so getting good parking was easy, lobby was practically empty. It was super quiet, though others stay may vary. Not great: Even though I booked in advance, signed up and did all the things needed prior to arriving. Their portal for contactless check-in/out didn't work the entire time I was there. So the contactless required contact for the duration of the stay. Even after physically checking in, the portal they use for contactless didn't work so I still had to do the work they're trying to avoid. Gave them a card for incidentals, and that wasn't enough for the portal to give me access again. "Verification" issues prevented me from having a simple streamlined check in/out experience. I had saved a screenshot prior of my access prior to arrival/check-in. That entry code still worked for my room, even before I physically checked in and continued to be so. Did try calling the front desk from the room because of the lack of portal access to check in, there was no answer. Either way, room was good for the price. The transition period it's in for the water park removal leaves some areas very liminal, many signs vandalized by letter removal is often hilarious. You'll be walking a hall, vestibule, room and sometimes feel floorboards shift under your feet. Based on the portal issues alone is enough for me to not book here again, I had too many concerns that I wasn't checked in or my room might change. If there were perks, didn't know about it

The room was huge. Very nice room. The hot tub and pool wonderful. The service not good. There is a place to buy snacks but there was no one at the front desk to pay for them. I waited 20 min no one came. I went to the bar that said it was open no bar tender. When we checked in right before she gave us our keys she took a phone call the person on the phone wanted to know about every room option prices for each. So we stood there for 15-20 min until we were just going to go find somewhere to sit down then she finally put them on hold. Then we asked for a late check out so I was laying on the bed and the maid just walked in and it was not even the normal check out time. The service was bad.

The location is perfect, within walking distance to all the main attractions. My room was beautifully designed, with large windows offering a nice view. The staff at the front desk were really accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed

It felt like it was under construction. Fine for the quick overnight on the road but it is located in an odd place behind a shopping center. Clean and fine but no charm at all.

Nice place if the water park was up and running it would make it more worth the cost of the room. Building one parking is a little sketchy.

Shower was a little grimy and small. No one was at the check in desk for 10-15 minutes. We had a code to get into the rooms and amenities area. A key card seems easier, and more convenient. The breakfast line setup was really cramped and had terrible flow, and no room for maneuvering.

We unfortunately booked a room in the same night as a wedding and a poolside disco party. It was very, very noisy and the bar wasn’t available. The breakfast was disappointing.

Breakfast could use some work. Breakfast starts at 7 so it should be ready at 7 not later. The item options are good. We went in for 7 and it didn’t come out until 7:15. Also it should be stocked and ready. After 5 people went through the warmers were empty of food.

Room was clean but very dim lit. We also were unaware of the large party complete with a DJ outside of our window on one night of our stays. The larger pool was torn up which was a little bit of a disappointment. I also want to take time to note the breakfast served had a weird taste to it like almost fishy. We ended up going and getting breakfast elsewhere.

Very big. Open rooms. Clean. Very little staff working. Seems like they’re going through some type of change at their location. Bartender was incredibly rude and has no customer service skills. Only about five options available for dinner at the bar. Waterpark is closed indefinitely. Swimming area is fun for kids, but incredibly hot to sit in there and supervise.
