Our stay at Motel 6 Rothschild, WI was convenient, clean, quiet, easy to park, comfortable, safe and affordable. Half the price of the other national motels in Wausau. We'll stay there again on our next trip to the area.

The desk associate and Manager when I checked in were very personable and courteous. Only drawback is that there was no housekeeping during my multiple day stay. However, the room was quiet and clean. Was given a room that was close to parking lot access which was appreciated. Will stay again in the future!

You should get a refund if an amenity is listed and not offered. Third property I've booked with Expedia that doesn't actually have a pool. Think I will quit using both Expedia and motel 6!

Location was convenient to places I was visiting. Access from parking lot to room was simple. Although contemporary the room showed wear and tear. There was a noticeable unpleasant aroma of food that appeared to be prepared onsite by guests of by employees. (The location did not have a restaurant or meal service that would account for this.)

I booked 2 king size jacuzzi rooms which were the exactly the same king size rooms. however one room was 10.00 more and at 99.07 the 2nd room was 88.07 not sure why the price difference The jacuzzis were very small a little disappointing. The pool was closed. The rooms were a decent size. In both rooms the comforters had stains on them I found hair inside the jacuzzi in the 88.00 room hair on the beds. Couldn’t sleep due to lots of banging and stomping till 3 am.

This is a very nice Motel 6. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated that there was no extra fee for the dog. The hotel was conveniently located. Excellent for the price

The price was excellent. I was just passing thru and needed a place to stay for the night. Was clean, wasn't the prettiest but like I said needed a place to stay with my wife and dog... Ohh no extra charge for a pet .

We were pleasantly surprised with Motel 6. We had a wonderful stay from check in to the end of our stay. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was spacious and clean. The grocery store and several restaurants within walking distance. There have been many updates to the building. Give them a try….you won’t be disappointed!

We received a phone call asking when we were going to check in - have never had that happen before. Caller seemed annoyed we did not have an exact time of arrival - we were at a family event. Room had a smell to it - not sure if it was because it was closed up - turned the air on and it seemed to go away. Beds were extremely uncomfortable- felt like a bar in our backs?? Pillows were nice. Room was clean. No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom - just two tiny bars of soap. Towels and bathroom were clean. Rate our stay: It was okay. Would we stay again? Maybe. Note: We have stayed here in the past and had a better experience than we did this time.

The rooms decently priced for hot tub included-front desk advised us the water needs to run a bit 1st before filling hot tub as it runs brown for a bit-it sure did! But that’s absolutely all this motel has going for it. Shower is a small stand up, dirty shower curtain with plenty of hair n gross junk on it ewww, shower head isn’t adjustable up/down so if you’re 5’2 like me….sprays right in the face the entire shower…grr! Bedsheets were dirty as well with mystery brown stains…seriously what is that?! Room is cold feeling, nothing spent on wall decor, no pen/notepad, nothing but a bar of soap in bathroom & by hot tube with 2 towels….not to mention the never ending curry waff thru the air 24/7. And no breakfast of anything, stale *** muffins or not…I won’t be back.

The night desk clerk was very friendly and came right away when I picked up the host phone. The day lady that I had the next morning was not very polite and didn't even come to the desk when I picked up the host phone, she asked what I needed (which was shampoo) and told me it was in the vending machine. The place was clean and comfortable but echo'd a lot, you could hear every door close, footsteps, talking in the hallways and other rooms, and a very large dog barking every time someone went down the stairs. Reasonably priced yes, but quiet no - bring ear plugs.

the only reason you would stay here is because you have to attend the expo, which is right up the block. the room is cheap but you get what you pay for. The bed is very uncomfortable, the room years outdated. It's just a place to sleep and if you can sleep anywhere then this would be fine but if you need a firm good mattress then go somewhre else. The staff was nice but are not around because they are taking care of the kids. you have to call them to come to the desk. My bed had a huge dried stain on it and like I said, the mattress was the worst I've ever had. I told my wife the next time I say "I just need a bed" to slap me and pay the extra for a decent room.

The hotel itself smell olds and looks old. There was a dog barking as I was getting ready to go to sleep. This seems all bad but this is when the good part begins. I talked to the employee at the desk and she gave me another room on the second floor away from the barking dog. Later that night I saw I forgot my cellphone charger and asked if she had a spare which she did. Those two acts alone made up for the "old hotel" feeling. The place is not for everyone but the employee I met was top notch.

The female working the front desk lied to me and treated me with the utmost disrespect. There was no one there meaning the hotel was empty. I requested one more night for business in the area and she sharply said no as if I did something wrong. I paid for three nights and only was able to stay for two. Now I have to figure out how to get one stay money return. I travel a lot and this is by far the worst customer service and experience I’ve ever received. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. As I was polity speaks to her and trying to show the recipients via email she threatened to call the cops (and she did!) Thd General Manager was very nice when I spoke to him during check in. I am going to corporate for this one.
