St Ives Hotel

Lovely sea view room. Good sized indoor pool. Good breakfast and plenty of parking.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good food both from bar and excellent breakfast from restaurant. The kids play area, games room and pool were great for my 5 year old. The parking also made a great difference. Would recommend to others.

Lovely swimming pool which made the stay extra special for us

Stayed one night and that was enough... this is a budget hotel, so don't have high expectations. The room was small but ok, however the walls are paper thin and the room doors are slamming shut, so difficult to sleep with inconsiderate people in the rooms next to us not being able to hold on to the door handle and make sure the door is closed quietly. The pool has seen better days, lots of broken equipment and the cleanliness is very poor. Over all cleanliness of the hotel also needs improvements. The car park in front of the hotel is not sufficient, so we had to find parking elsewhere.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, especially if you have kids. I stayed there around 15 years ago, before I had my own and thought it was awesome but having been back recently, it’s even better than I’d remembered. They seem to manage to keep the place looking pristine, despite all the kids who visit 😂. It’s modern, comfortable and very clean in all communal areas and the rooms are just as lovely. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, they couldn’t do enough for us. We stayed two nights as a family group of 8, across 3 rooms, for the Santa weekend from 12-14 December. We enjoyed two delicious breakfasts and the kids enjoyed the visit from The Grinch on Sunday morning. We ate in the bar on both evenings of our stay and I would say this is one area which could have been better, as the food wasn’t hot either night, it was luke warm at near. The entertainment on the Friday was better than the Saturday but the kids had a ball regardless. We all enjoyed swimming in the pool, although with small children, it could have been slightly warmer. All in all, we honestly had the best stay and can’t wait to return. Well done to all management and staff at the hotel, who really make it a fabulous place that people want to return to and we wish you all the most wonderful Christmas!

We really enjoyed our stay at St Ives. Brilliant location with lots of amenities around. Lovely pool, great for children as not too deep. Delicious breakfast. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful, even my 9 year old grandson commented on how nice they were. We will be back!

Great stay for one night. We were upgraded to a room in the main building and the room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great and staff were really helpful. I was particularly impressed by the fact that they had arranged Easter activities for children in the craft room.

Hotel situated on South Promenade with easy access to the beach. Spacious rooms, ours had a sea view. Breakfast and dinners in their restaurant were self service buffet and lunches available from their bar. Found staff very friendly, helpful and informative. There is a swimming pool, a games room and a room with facilities for infants. Plenty of parking spaces at the front of the hotel.

Overall it was a good stay at the St Ives Hotel. The room we paid for was suppose to be a deluxe quadruple room as we went as a family of four. The two single beds were pull out beds but were suppose to be full single beds for our kids. The entertainment for kids was ok and after that was some bingo but for the evening session was an “amazing vocalist/singer” hotels words not mine but at best I’m afraid he was average. The facilities onsite were good, their own swimming pool and dry sauna with an under fives play room and games room for the older kids. (Arcades at a pound a go) The staff and receptionists were overall friendly and happy to help.

Great stay. Staff really helpful and friendly. Room had been refurbished and was very comfortable.

Clean tidy and staff friendly

The roon itself was a little tired, there was a some laminate pealed off the cupboard, the towel rail has a bit of rust on. That said it was still incredibly clean, it wasn't the nicest room but it was only for 2 nights, we will stay again as the staff were lovely, the location was perfect and the food was great. Hopefully next time we'll get a newer room.

The room was in just a box with a small window, it was very noisy as the room above had a party from 11pm onwards, the bathroom floor was dirty and the hall and stairs need a good clean.

The hotel is in a good location near St Annes pier, the shops are a 5 minute away. Frequent buses to Blackpool, Lytham and Preston. It is clean, good facilities but is slightly tired in places however there are signs of updating about.

Might be a good idea for the management to take a good look at the cleanliness of the bathroom floor in room 50. Obviously a quick whip round is good enough as there is major dirt in the corners

We went during school holidays so full of families with young children so can be very noisy, not a problem if you have young children. Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful.

The Hotel & Staff were friendly & Nice. Unfortunately some of their clientel were not. I would not recommend this hotel if you hope for a nice quiet "after Christmas" visit to a lovely Town. The walls were paper thin in the rooms & you were even able to hear people sneeze. The lady on reception blamed it the fact that its an old building, old buildings have thick walls. The neighbours, to put it mildly were noisy & horrendous & on the second night 3 young girls were ejected. Consequently 2 sleepless nights & we left a day early. Way too many children for our liking but great for parents who let their children run wild. Not a place we will be visiting again.

We enjoyed our stay but was disappointed on the size of the room for a family of 4 and the bathroom facilities were dated and cold. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Location perfect.

We booked and paid in advance. When we arrived, it seemed as if reception weren’t expecting us. We are both disabled and booked on the basis that such a hotel would surely have lifts. It did. However we were in an annex which meant that we had to go outside, down an alleyway with an uneven surface and up what appeared to be a fire escape.

Bed was comfy. However room was very hot and limited to small windows opening only a few inches. It’s a very quiet place until later in the evening when the entertainment starts for the children. Staff were a little rude and short other than the bar staff and the breakfast staff. Been coming for a while and the place has been painted inside adding to a brighter feel. The place doesn’t have any entertainment until the evening which is a bit sad really as lots of

Hotel is excellent, great food, kids entertainment on weekends, our son loved the pool. Only minor complaint was that the room was quite stuffy and poorly ventilated. The hotel staff did their best to provide some fans to help with this.

Nice hotel, good location, only downside was I got an email after I’d booked and just before my stay to tell me my room was directly above the entertainment area so may be noisy ( which is was very noisy until late) I feel that I should have been told this before booking, or the noisy rooms should have been cheaper, I wouldn’t have booked had I known. You should offer the option before booking, very misleading

Check in was professionally done despite been given the wrong room this was corrected within 20 minutes but decided to keep our allocated room as was a lot bigger. And was refunded our car parking fee of £15 , which has gone up 50% from our stay last time but it is secure. Room was was clean comfortable nice toiletries breakfast was amazing glad too see they now have proper cups and saucers. Already booked again to stay.

Staff were pleasant and helpful. We got an upgrade. Close to town, beach, activities( boating lake, crazy golf etc) and places to visit. Lovely walk to Lytham, but it took about an hour, lots to see on the way.

Welcoming attitude and helpfulness of staff

The staff are very friendly and courteous nothing too much trouble. The hotel is located close to the beach and all the amenities are close by. Breakfast was very nice and nicely presented. The swimming pool was a god send to keep our 4 year old granddaughter happy she loved every moment in there. For a relaxing few days you carn’t get any better.

We had a very good stay in the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was excellent although disappointing that we were at the back with a view of run down buildings. The front with a sea view would have been better. The food was excellent.

The St Ives is a really family friendly hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The kids entertainment was very good. If I had one critique it would be that the £9 charge for a kids meal is quite expensive for a two year old. Maybe under 5’s should eat for less? It didn’t spoil our break though. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Parked,checked in, clean and spacious room, comfortable beds, good sleep,fabulous breakfast, checked out. That's it!

Not a bad hotel, stayed last year and it was better. Food gone down hill slightly. Was a 9 or 10 now about a 7. Still ok but was little disappointed.
