Jättefint hotell med stora rum och ytor. Vi bodde i en tre sovrums penthouse med grill och jacuzzi på takterrassen. Läget är perfekt med närhet till både havet och nöjen. Ungdomarna i familjen uppskattade tillgång till bra gym i huset. Poolen var perfekt att tillgå när man behöver svalka sig lite.

I was in the pool everyday and it was so perfect. Beach is a walking distance. I would say that there are no restaurants in the actual property but right across the street, u have an affilated restaurant and bar called El Gubernador(sp?) And Carlotta Bakery. Get the Gomiladas or order a Michelada its less than 5 usd. For all the health conscious people, carlotta has smoothies, pastries, and breakfast items. If u can, get the executive suite 3. Bedroom. It has a rooftop jacuzzi and grill area.

Porto Playa Condo is very nice secure clean place. I would definitely go there again. Within 1 Block to bakery, convenience store, restaurant, massage, pharmacy, 5th Ave. Perfect location, not on beach but sister property is. Beach has mostly washed away but still nice to sit by ocean and have dinner and drinks.

Loved it here and would love to come stay again. Grimm and grounds was very clean, everything is close easy to get around. There was not an elevator so it’s not accessible for those who aren’t able to use stairs. There were two issues during the stay. The AC in the master bedroom was not working but they came right up and fixed it. One evening I couldn’t get the shower water hot but they immediately came in and fixed it. When the rain started there was a small leak coming through the screw in the sliding door in master bedroom in which they sent maintenance up and fixed immediately. Even with these issues I still loved it there and would come back. I would reccomend and still give them a high rating in the review. The staff was kind and friendly.

Lovely, patient, helpful staff. Good water pressure. AC works well! Water cooler with cool water. Shaded parking. Room darkening curtains. Very spacious. Huge master bath. Clean. We frequently stay at condo in beach areas-the floors were much cleaner than most. The interior courtyard is filled with nice plants and an interesting twisting pool. There is a larger pool on an upper level where it would get more sun and large enough to swim. Little french bakery steps from entrance. You can hear loud club music outside, but not to much inside the condo. The fitness center is next door in a actual stand alone fitness center. You will need to get a entry ticket from the front desk. If you are a runner, I would prefer a morning run by 8:00 on 5th Ave before it is sunny and crowded. Has a fun retro feel. Would defy stay there again. Best yet, they never asked me to write a review!

Very nice staff at front and concierge. One of the best features is access to the other hotel El Taj on the beach, with a great pool, nice open beach chairs with thatch umbrellas, and the food and drinks as you lounge there. Also the concierge office has pool toys, games, decks of cards, goggles, boogie boards...and even 2 bikes to take out for free as long as you like. Bummer that dishwasher was a catastrophe i side when we opened it, and no ability to have it repaired and also the pools started clear and clean, but midweek were cloudy and its odd as there should be pool maintenance to keep water clear. It was low season, so i hope they would do better to maintain it as only a few folks per day were in it. Overall a very nice place to stay with a very nice and helpful staff. Also excellent service with booking airport pickup ans airport return shuttle as well as 1 other shuttle trip to XPlore midweek that was far more affordable than taxis.

Great property in a great location. The condo was spacious with room for all 7 of us. The staff was great and even brought us an extra bed when we asked. It is close to several options for shopping, groceries, and dining. We were able to walk to dinner and to get groceries when we needed something. The staff was helpful and communicative via WhatsApp which was great. Parking was easy and covered and private, which was super convenient. If there is one knock it is the pool water is super warm. One pool was closed for maintenance, but you have access to pools at their other properties also, which we did not try. But the pool at this condo was really warm - like almost hot tub warm. They should really pump some cooler water into the pool to make it actually refreshing.

We stayed here for 6 nights and we really enjoyed it. There was some construction in the hotel they are fixing one of the pools but other than that all good. Very walkable everywhere and they have parking too. We enjoyed it.

This hotel is a health hazard. To be clear, the accommodation is lovely- comfortable and very well equipped, however the pool filtration system is broken and therefore the pool is a health hazard. We noticed that the water was warm, completely still, the waterfalls were off, there was scum around the edges and on the surface of the pool. From closer inspection it appeared that the filtration system was broken and as such the pool was essentially a pond with no chemical treatments and therefore liable for disease and illness. We raised this with the hotel staff and we were just lied to. I have managed properties with swimming pools so I know what the process is and that they are happy to risk their guests safety was not acceptable. We checked out once they confirmed we would get a refund. They then refused with hotels.com to refund us. Fortunately I had the promise of a refund in writing and sent this to my credit card company who then sorted it. The management are liars. We were offered their sister hotel which is next to the sea and smells like fish with a pool mostly in shade, and was a downgrade from what we had booked. We were told the pool has a leak and needs a full drain down however this hasn’t been booked in- why not? At cost to ourselves and losing a day of our holiday to move we just wanted to leave. If the pool was working, this would be a great place to stay; until then, avoid at all costs.

Superb location, a couple of blocks from the beach. They also have a beach club where we can have food, beds and towels (free) on the beach. The amenities are beautiful. My only complain would be the parking: tiny and only about 10 cars fit which is not a lot for such a big residence. And then the condo we stayed in had a water leak somewhere that we signaled 3 times but they didn’t check it the whole time we were there causing the bathroom floor to be constantly wet and and our clothes smelling like humidity and not drying up. It’s more a maintenance issue for the owners of these condos since this is not a regular hotel. Other than that I would strongly recommend the building.

Tired place in need of some love! It has amazing potential! The condo itself was decent and the outside space is amazing. The lock wasn’t secure, the furniture was broken. The BBQ was broken. The fridge leaked and was rusted out. The air con blew mould and dirt. Toilets stunk like sewage. The hot tub jets didn’t work……

We loved the room. Everything was exceptionally clean, there was a water cooler, oven, etc. for anything needed. The A/C worked wonderfully and the hot tub on the top of the property wasn't actually too hot.

Very very noisy. We were awoken by loud thumping music each night from 11:00pm to 3:00am. When we went to the front desk the gentleman said that he has never heard a complaint in his three years of working there. We received no assistance from them. We contacted headquarters via email and they were able to move us to a sister property La Tag which was much quieter. We did have to forfeit a large unit for a one bedroom, but were much happier.

Great location and friendly staff. Comfortable bed and well equipped condo. The direct website for Porto playa states that all condos have full size refrigerators . Ours did not. It was hard to buy groceries for our stay when there wasn't a way to store them . Lighting wasn't good at all in the bathroom.

We really loved our 2 bedroom penthouse. Beautiful view. Very comfortable. The grounds were so nice, felt like a lot of privacy. The pool was never crowded. Overall fantastic stay.

Great beautiful place, next to 5th Avenue, only downside there was loud music you can hear from one of the bars on 5Th Avenue until 3AM Pretty good singer but if you are a light sleeper it might bother you.

Great property in a great location. The condo was spacious with room for all 7 of us. The staff was great and even brought us an extra bed when we asked. It is close to several options for shopping, groceries, and dining. We were able to walk to dinner and to get groceries when we needed something. The staff was helpful and communicative via WhatsApp which was great. Parking was easy and covered and private, which was super convenient. If there is one knock it is the pool water is super warm. One pool was closed for maintenance, but you have access to pools at their other properties also, which we did not try. But the pool at this condo was really warm - like almost hot tub warm. They should really pump some cooler water into the pool to make it actually refreshing.

Location is close to 5th avenue and close to dining, shopping, and beach. However, if you like to sleep from 10pm to 4am the music is so loud it is pretty much impossible without earplugs. Also the week we were there the hot tub was cold, but the pool was nice.

This is our second stay at the Porto Playa. Check in was easy, condo was ready. We stayed in a 2BD with top deck. View are lovely higher up and we enjoyed the hot tub and space to relax. The condo was very clean and stocked with cooking utensils. Only thing we would add is a dish rack for drying dishes but a towel worked fine. Also a salt shaker would be a plus. We had housekeepers in a couple times over the week to change out towels as things take a bit longer to dry. Beds were comfortable and the condo was quiet. The condo also had beach chairs and umbrella. A small soft cooler would have been nice. The pool was lovely and could always find a chair and umbrellaLoved the location so easy access to shops and restaurants. Dont pack too much! Loads of cute dresses to buy just steps away. Especially liked the selection at Mayan and The Loft. Our favorite restaurants were Rockas for Jamaican - amazing dinner,Chez Celine for breakfast and the best chicken I have ever had at Asadero el Pollo at 2nd/20th. We also had a great meals at Yum yum and Roxy’s Little Fish Shack. Recommend highly.

Very very noisy. We were awoken by loud thumping music each night from 11:00pm to 3:00am. When we went to the front desk the gentleman said that he has never heard a complaint in his three years of working there. We received no assistance from them. We contacted headquarters via email and they were able to move us to a sister property La Tag which was much quieter. We did have to forfeit a large unit for a one bedroom, but were much happier.

Breakfast was not a breakfast they give you coupons and two options for dining where you supposed to pay additional fees. Room keys didn’t work. Not overly friendly staff. Did not feel too welcomed and there were so aggressive about the deposit! Of 250 usd They sent me two emails prior to my arrival and that is the first thing they asked. I would never go back

Perfect location. Cancún Beaches are more blue but playa de Carmen beaches are not bad . You can visit Tulum , Cancun , Cozumel etc because it’s (playa de Carmen ) in the middle of everything. Staff was nice.

Loved it here and would love to come stay again. Grimm and grounds was very clean, everything is close easy to get around. There was not an elevator so it’s not accessible for those who aren’t able to use stairs. There were two issues during the stay. The AC in the master bedroom was not working but they came right up and fixed it. One evening I couldn’t get the shower water hot but they immediately came in and fixed it. When the rain started there was a small leak coming through the screw in the sliding door in master bedroom in which they sent maintenance up and fixed immediately. Even with these issues I still loved it there and would come back. I would reccomend and still give them a high rating in the review. The staff was kind and friendly.

Several issues. 1 tired travelers have to walk down the street to the concierge office. 2 no accommodations or complimentary service for pool being out of service. 3 laundry service didn't wash our clothes. Only folded and returned dirty. 4 Security tried bribing our party for money, stating we we're too loud and he'll take some money not to report the issue!

The guy checking me in at the front desk was kind of a jerk when I tried to speak Spanish to him. Actually laughed at me. There was some noise the first night around dinner, but it subsided before sleep. I don’t know if I would book it for a little family on a weekend. May have some street noise. But amazing location, great stay. Lots of room and close to everything. So nice to finally have a washer and dryer after only staying in hotels for a couple weeks. Also had parking, which we appreciated.

Very good location, convenient and comfortable, many restaurants and stores very nearby, great to have on-site parking, is close to Xcarret park which is a MUST SEE location and well worth the trip and the cost. The town is a bit commercial but not over the top for a beach resort, with a safe and secure vibe that was most welcome. Staff at the hotel and in all restaurants etc were friendly, accommodating and helpful and made our trip very delightful. Spanish language is helpful but not critical as ENGLISH seemed widely spoken and understood.

We loved everything about this property!! It was a very spacious condo with all the essentials needed. The location is within walking distance to entertainment and a variety of options for meals. The beautiful beach is within walking distance. We will definitely return to this location.

I was in the pool everyday and it was so perfect. Beach is a walking distance. I would say that there are no restaurants in the actual property but right across the street, u have an affilated restaurant and bar called El Gubernador(sp?) And Carlotta Bakery. Get the Gomiladas or order a Michelada its less than 5 usd. For all the health conscious people, carlotta has smoothies, pastries, and breakfast items. If u can, get the executive suite 3. Bedroom. It has a rooftop jacuzzi and grill area.

Porto Playa Condo is very nice secure clean place. I would definitely go there again. Within 1 Block to bakery, convenience store, restaurant, massage, pharmacy, 5th Ave. Perfect location, not on beach but sister property is. Beach has mostly washed away but still nice to sit by ocean and have dinner and drinks.

This condo is close to everything. There is a cute little coffee shop across the street which we went to often. Its a 5 min. walk to the beach. The staff are very helpful and friendly :) I will definitely be back for another stay.

Superb location, a couple of blocks from the beach. They also have a beach club where we can have food, beds and towels (free) on the beach. The amenities are beautiful. My only complain would be the parking: tiny and only about 10 cars fit which is not a lot for such a big residence. And then the condo we stayed in had a water leak somewhere that we signaled 3 times but they didn’t check it the whole time we were there causing the bathroom floor to be constantly wet and and our clothes smelling like humidity and not drying up. It’s more a maintenance issue for the owners of these condos since this is not a regular hotel. Other than that I would strongly recommend the building.

Because of the construction work going on .. the property was not as appealing as it looks in the pictures .. Air conditioning had issues but the Manager was kind enough to change the condo for us and she also offered us free breakfast through out the stay.

Registration was "clumsy." Everything was coming at me at once...I did not feel welcomed; I felt like they needed to get me signed in and signed up. The gentleman who took us to our room was very socialable, kind, and helpful. My husband was being obnoxious, and he and the bellman were very kind. After that, we really loved our stay. The pool areas were beautiful. The bed was super comfortable. TV service was very good. It was a blessing to have Netflix as it rained one day and Netflix was in English. However, the sofa in the living room was uninhabitable. When you sat down, you sunk to the floor. Cushions were too soft. We piled them on top of each other in order to be able to sit down and get up. Both restaurants across the street were cute with good food and drinks. Thank you.

The room was clean, the condo was beautiful and it was spacious for my family. But the biggest downfall was that for the 5 days I stayed there. The elevator was never fixed. We had to go up 5 floors every single time we went out. With kids and an older woman. And not only that. But we got a call about noise complaints because we walked “too much” it’s a family friendly condo. I didn’t know my daughters had to sit all day. But overall it was nice. Wouldn’t stay here again though.
