We loved staying here. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and we had a great balcony overlooking the pool with a view of the ocean. The property is beautifully landscaped and kept immaculate. The pool was lovely with a tiki bar serving beer, wine and some snacks. We had access to the sister facility just a few blocks away with a full restaurant and bar. Kayaks and paddle boards were complimentary so we took kayaks out one day and really enjoyed that. All the staff were super. I had one small issue r/t housekeeping and management was very responsive. Only complaint really would be that there was not available parking close to our room. The spaces were taken and people have boats and trailers parked on site. Having said that, it was still just a short walk to our room so we pulled in to load/unload our stuff then parked near the office. We would definitely stay at La Siesta again!

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing they really need to work on is updating the pool lounge chairs, they need all new ones several are falling apart, saggy and uncomfortable. I was afraid I was going to fall through. The staff are all very nice.

Very friendly staff. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Pool drained after first day we were there. I liked how the pool, beach and amenities were so convenient . Still enjoyed boat to Three Waters and their pool. Boat and shuttle between resorts very convenient and nice. Went kayaking.Love the feel of old Florida at La Siesta! Plan to return

The pool area was in very poor shape. The pool had mold everywhere, the women’s bathroom was falling apart. The pool also closed at 7pm! Very disappointing for kids as they wanted to stay and play. Our rooms phone was broken, the fridge wasn’t plugged in upon arrival and took forever to cool a So we had to throw some food away. I asked many times for the phone to be fixed but it wasn’t so we had to walk to the desk every time we needed anything. The bartender, Marcus was fantastic though.

My family had a great stay at La Siesta Resort! The staff was very kind and welcoming; they had everything ready ahead of our stay and even provided us with a free upgrade on the accommodation to boot! The pool and beach/marina area are great spaces and there were beach chairs and umbrellas throughout. The best part of our brief stay was the included kayak and paddleboard rentals, my family of four took advantage of them multiple times. Another great advantage of La Siesta Resort is that it is part of a collection of properties; so you have full access to the Three Waters Resort and Amara Cay Resorts. This greatly expands your dining and activities since you can access the pools and water crafts at each of the resorts. Also they offer a complimentary water taxi and shuttle bus between the properties. Super convenient! We definitely recommend La Siesta Resort and will be back soon!

I have been coming to this hotel for the last 10 years and our experience in August was terrible. It doesn’t seem the hotel is keeping up with property as the rooms seem run down. Our tv was not working. The AC vents were directly pointed to our faces in bed causing us to get sick. The pool was green and cloudy that you could not see the bottom. It clearly had algae but they still let people get in it. We mostly spent our time at Amaracay hotel, their sister hotel less than a mile away. Will not go back for the expensive price they charge, when they have let this hotel go.

We have stayed at LaSiesta several times and have always enjoyed the stay. Some area need some updating. However, the Rum Runner water taxi with Capt. Michael and Christa is a great amenity! The shuttle service is great also.

Ms Marilyn and Truedane welcomed us like we were the most important people to ever visit (we're not). Their energy and kindness are immediate. The pool was under repair our last day but there were free shuttles to the sister hotels nearby with really nice facilities. We went kayaking and they offer paddle boards. Plenty of activities to keep us occupied and they are almost walking distance to a number of really good restaurants.

Hotel grounds were well kept and pretty. The hotel room we stayed in was underwhelming and poor for what we paid. There was mold growing in the bathroom, and the fixtures and tub we in very poor condition. Bathroom door and living room door didn’t shut properly. We were placed on the third floor, no elevator. I’m 5 months pregnant and it was a workout every time we went to and from our room. The beds were very clean, BUT very uncomfortable. I wasn’t able to get a good nights sleep due to noise and how hard the bed was. The door to the outside didn’t have a weather strip so you could hear everything happening outside and on the highway. I was worried critters would be able to get into the room. The staff was very friendly and we utilized the amenities at the other two sister resorts. We wish we would have stayed at one of those instead, it obviously gets better attention to detail and better things to do.

Great location, friendly staff, easy parking and nice waterfront area. My only issue was the garden view room we stayed in could use a deep cleaning. The floors were very dirty, hair left in the tub and everything needs some serious dusting. The shuttle is an extra perk with little to no wait time for pick up and drop offs. We will definitely be back to Islamorada as we go a couple of times per year however unsure if we would stay again at LaSiesta.

It was nicely landscaped. There was a box of publix friend chicken sitting in parking lot for 3 days. No one picked it up and eventually bones were all over the place. My room had bur holes in sofa and ashes on it and all my clothes smelled like cigarettes. The price reflected on here said 600 for 2 nights. At the end, it was well over $800. For that price, there should be clean and in excellent shape. Finish is chipped off tubs. Both bathrooms. . The curtain hem on one side was completely ripped. And doors were slamming. And strong smell of weed downstairs.

When we got to our room we noticed our shower as filthy! Lots of hair in the shower and the floor was very brown. They reminded the situation by upgrading us. Overall, it was a good experience.

Bathroom was dirty and tub drain wouldn't drain. Shower curtain filthy and room door was an inch off the floor. After my first shower and standing in over ankle deep water, I went to the front desk to ask for help. Nobody showed up till about 10pm with a bottle of draino. I left after only one night. They will not give me any kind of credit for the day I stayed. Poorly managed property. I would not recommend at all.

What we liked were the views. What we didn’t like, no internet, furniture is old and worn, damage in room, door in bathroom hit the toilet and would not open all the way. Entry door was dirty where everyone touches it. Staff were friendly however would not take requests. Fees on expiedia were not the same the resort charged (they charged more). I would not recommend. There are nicer places to stay on Islamorada.

Beach front was super nice. The room wasn’t clean, the floor was super dirty. We’re a family of 5 and we needed the sofa bed, but we couldn’t use it because you can feel the springs so bad. The sofa bed was useless.

The problem we had was with the air conditioning, which wasn't working. We spoke with the receptionist, but they never sent a technician to fix it. The room was 312 on two floors. On the second floor, everything was fine, but the first floor didn't go below 77 degrees.

Had a great 3 story suite. The view was great. I wished I would have known they had no elevator. The room was a decent size. For paying almost $1k a night I expected way more. Room was dated, dingy and falling apart. We even requested room service for missing lightbulbs. I will say, despite the dated room, service was accommodating. Overall not impressed with our room but did like the location.

Originally had a villa on the beach but the AC wasn’t cold enough and it was very small. We were moved to a 2 BR suite and that was much nicer. Property was a little worn down but the staff were amazing. We have stayed at their sister property and wanted to try this one out. Next time we would probably stay at their sister resort because it has restraints and and a beach as well as being updated.

Upon our late arrival, we were given a room number that did not exist and keys that did not work. This was after walking up and down stairs in the cold(cold snap, 45 degrees and raining) with crying, exhausted 4 and 9 year olds I called the main number to try to reach someone at the sister resort and was spoken to rudely by some customer service operator. We then returned to the sister resort (mind you this was at 3am) Thankfully the employee on duty returned with us to try to remedy the situation. He was also confused on why there was no room labeled our key # and why the keys did not work. He gave us a room for the night and were told we would need to check in at the office in the morning. In the morning we received keys. After trying to open the doors, again the keys did not work. In the office I asked for a reimbursement of my first night and was told I would receive it for two nights. This definitely helped. As I am writing this, I still have not received a phone call or credit on my credit card. At the office upon leaving, I was told he meant, "resort fees". Mind you this is $40.00 a day. Give me a break! We literally had to stay at a different hotel in a smaller room. Throughout our stay, the room was never cleaned unless I called the office. The room was so so. Which isn\'t a big deal for us. The bar at the pool only sells beer and seltzers. No liquor for even a pina colda. The pool was not heated, where the sister resort was. Overall very dissatisfied.

I’ve been coming to La Siesta for a long time. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I stayed during a hurricane that wasn’t too far away. The staff handled everything in a great way. Had some high winds the first day there and they basically took away anything that could potentially blow away (beach chairs, games, hammock, etc..) and stored it. The next morning once the storm was over everything was put back out for use and resumed as if nothing happened. Very happy with my stay, per usual. Great service. Staff super friendly and informative. I’ll be visiting again next year.

Nice looking resort, but very slow service. Reported broken toilet flush but no one serviced for 2 days. Nearest restaurant in a sister property 0.3 miles away, so takes couple of hours to receive in room dining. There was no hot water one evening, which we didn’t even report given no one is paying attention.

LaSiesta was quiet, laid back, and well kept. It had a lovely pool area and access to two other resorts. There were several restaurants a short walk or drive away. It was a short walk from workout facilities. We had a beautiful view of the sunrise.

This is a beautiful spot! Lovely views and super friendly service. There are many planned activities for adults, children and families. Boat slips are also available if you are staying at the resort. There isn’t a restaurant on site, but there are ample restaurants in the area for food. Our room had a small kitchen, so that is another option-cook it yourself! There are fish cleaning stations near the boat slips so you can clean your catch before taking to the room for cooking. The staff is very friendly and super helpful for any request we had. Our stay was pretty perfect. My only complaint, if it is one, was that at the end of the day the trash, the towels by the pool and soiled room linens had not been collected. Laundry bags were left everywhere in the bushes. It’s was not in keeping with the resort’s service. The rooms are looking a little beat up, walls need repairs, bathroom mirrors are beginning to loose their silver. Beds are super comfy and we had everything we needed. The outdoor patio was very nice to sit and watch the thunderstorms at night. Nice and deep-we never got wet. It was quiet and relaxing-Thanks for a great stay!

Very nice location on the water and very nice pool. Super friendly staff. Super big rooms, several with ocean view. We had an issue with the bed, but it got fixed immediately. Walking distance to some nice restaurants and a coffee shop for breakfast.

The staff was absolutely amazing. They upgraded our room to one of the cottages on the beach and were super prompt about getting us more towels for our room when we asked. Unfortunately the pool had giant chunks of the floor missing, lots of tiles missing on the deck and a ton of sand on the floor of the pool. La Siesta also does not have a liquor license so we were not able to purchase beers or any liquor based drinks like we were at their sister resort Amara Kay. We were told about breakfast one night while get the key lime pie pops (highly recommend). The breakfast was really great but we were not told that is was going to be added to our rooms which was disappointing to find out when we checked out. La Siesta has the potential to be really great but some transparency on prices and up keep on the amenities need some work.

La Siesta was great, the rooms are good, the property is fantastic, and the staff was very pleasant. While they don't serve mixed drinks (only beer and wine) you get the benefit of a quick shuttle to two other sister properties with more dining & beverage options. Overall great experience.

Booked last min. The staff was absolutely excellent. The rooms were just OK… decent beach, casual, motel hotel. No restaurant on site other than the tiki bar which has a limited menu. Great for families on a budget.

The room was clean and spacious. The pool was very nice, very clean, and not very crowded. They don't have a full bar at the pool or beach. Moreover, the beach was not really usable except as a boat launch. There is a small beach studded with rocks and seaweed next to a small boat dock for small boats with numerous piers. You could fish from the piers but you can't really swim in the ocean from the beach. They do offer kayaks and paddleboards but if you're looking for a kid friendly place to splash in the ocean surf, this wasn't it.

While the ocean view was truly amazing, unfortunately, the staff lacked friendliness, only one person assisting and took long to check in. The rooms were outdated and slightly overpriced. Additionally, there was no option for dining onsite, and the pool bar did not offer any alcoholic beverages.

This is a beautiful resort ! Lots of dining choices around although just room service on property. There is also no liquor drinks at their tiki pool bar . They have wine and spritzers and ice cream. Very family friendly!!! Views were amazing and staff were super friendly and accommodating! Has room service

Loved the atmosphere, size of the rooms and location. Would have liked a dining option onsite rather than having to leave the resort, the shuttle driver in the evening wasn’t very friendly. We’ve stayed at Amara Cay in the past and the shuttle drivers were always welcoming and fun to ride with, they played great music and the ride was something we looked forward to. Unfortunately we did not have that same experience this time.
