Pool deck is desperate need of repair. Super slippery and uneven. Resort fee amenities are also misleading. Pay a daily resort fee for a bottle of water, wifi, and 1hr bike rental. Stay 6 nights and you do not get 6 bottles of water even though you pay that fee daily. If you were to check in and out 6 times you would.

Loved the hotel. Excellent customer service. Only negative thing is the pool needs to be updated. It is very slippery when you get out. My husband slipped and I saw a couple of other guests slip. The tiles are loose. I hope they fix it because I would like to come back.

The furniture in the room was dusty like it has never been cleaned and the fridge in the room didn't work. Also the pool was way overcrowded which isn't the hotels fault but it made it difficult to enjoy being there on vacation.

The Hilton parking lot for vehicles is now shared with the baseball stadium. So when there is a baseball game, these people fill up the parking lot, ensuring you a hotel resident will not get a parking spot. It's very frustrating having to deal with thousands and thousands of cars all entering or leaving and you're on vacation.

The location of this hotel is great. Easy to get to seaport village and Petco park. The kids loved the pool, however it didn’t feel clean. The chairs often had gross stuff on them and people’s food containers were left out all over. We also noticed the hotel towels were thin and some very stained.

We loved our stay here; everything was perfect. The pool was nice, the shuttle to Coronado Beach was awesome, and of course, it's next to Petco Park. We’ll definitely be back.

The parking entry to hotel is not convenient. The beds are uncomfortable. The pool water is not heated right. And the jacuzzi was also not heated enough.

This hotel was a great stay. Very close to the marina and had a great walkable area directly in back of the hotel. The pool was amazing, it had a great view of the harbor and located very close to Petco Park and the Gas Lamp Location.

The property was nice but it was difficult to enjoy. The pool was so crowded that we had to sit on the floor. When the pool is at capacity there should be a time limit that staff enforces so that all guests can enjoy the property. The room was clean but there were no towels when we checked in and the thermostat and light at the entrance were not working.

Was highly disappointed. We have stayed here before and it was great, but this past trip, it was horrible. You feel as if you’re getting ripped off as they price gauge on everything. Not worth the cost. Rooms are dated and dirty. The tub is small and didn’t drain properly. Staff are rarely seen and interactions were not very welcoming. The pool area has two restrooms that were consistently filthy. Overall, find another hotel to stay at. The Bayfront Hilton is not worth the cost.

Great location for lots of restaurants. Walking distance to Petco Stadium. Boardwalk is beautiful and safe. Hotel and room were immaculate. We’d definitely Stay again.

Check in was a bit of a mess. Arrived two hours early and was told they were text us if our room became available. It did not. At check in time we were told it might be about 40 minutes. I talked to a supervisor and said we need a room sooner due to our plans. They get a room offered about 15 minutes later. Cleanliness of the room was not good. The bed comforter cover was dirty, and we found dog food along the bed and near the nightstand. Also found some trash underneath the sink area in the bathroom including a toothpick, which was gross. We called and informed them of the cleanliness of the room and waited for housekeeping to come change the sheet. After that, everything went great. We lucked out and had a corner room with a beautiful view of the city and Bay Area.

The hotel itself is nice. The staff were good. I paid for a 24 hour parking which was $45.00, parked at 8pm and was told i had to take my car out by 2pm. My room had a dirty body towel hung up on the shower rod from a previous stay. Sink was dirty. The bed made so much noise everytime we moved felt like it was broken. This was room #1416.

Very clean and very nice hotel. Waterfront views. Extremely close to the conference center and the downtown area, walkable. I felt safe walking in the area at night alone. Highly recommend!

Not so good. Room smelled musty and old. The room phone super dusty. I was asked by Hilton app to check in and pick a room. Which I did but when I got to hotel they said the room I picked was already taken so I don’t understand why it’s an option to pick a room if you don’t actually get that room. Wasted my time. So front desk asked me if I actually wanted 2 beds which I booked for I said yes she then says I have to ask my manager to unlock a 2 bed room. The room they gave me must have not been occupied for few weeks because it smelled old and musty plus the in room phone was super dusty. I probably won’t stay there again. They do have lots of amenities if you’re willing to pay the 100 dollar fees for it. Self parking $45 super steep for the subpar room we got. I would pick a days inn over this hotel anytime. Too busy and impersonal for me.

the thermostat in our room didn’t work, so we were unable to turn the AC down. they sent someone to fix it, but he wasn’t able to resolve it. He said he put in 62° on the computer downstairs but the thermostat wasn’t working with the computer so we weren’t able to adjust. Either way of the room was pretty hot over the few days we were there

Nice hotel. Lots of amenities. Pretty bayfront area. Pros: dining options, walking distance to Petco and Gas Lamp area, close to Coronado Bay, friendly staff. Cons: No microwaves in rooms, dead ends at Naval yard, room A/C has a minimum temp of 68 and rooms get humid, charge for everything even simple bike rentals that could easily be complimentary.

My suite was wonderful! I’m glad that I chose this option instead of a regular room. The king bed was super comfortable and I had a great view of the city skyline. I loved having a mixture of sofa and several chairs at various places to enjoy the views. There were not many dining options in walking distance but transportation was good from the hotel. It was next door to the convention center which worked well for me and my training session. I would highly recommend this place to stay in San Diego.

Pool was very nice and staff was nice. Valet is very expensive and not helpful. No mini fridge in room, which is odd even with renovations. Not a nice view of the Coronado bridge, mainly of port which is loud until midnight.

I booked a King room with a Coronado view at the Hilton San Diego a month ahead for Memorial Day weekend, but was told at check-in (11 PM!) that my room was no longer available. This was incredibly disappointing—especially from a Hilton. They offered a $60 food & beverage credit, but by that time, only the bar was open, and we had no time to use it the next day due to our travel plans. To make things worse, we were given a room with a depressing industrial view instead of the one we reserved. If the room type had to be changed, the least they could’ve done was honor the original view. I’m not blaming the staff—they were kind and tried their best—but Hilton’s reservation system is clearly unreliable. If you book here, know that you might not get the room you paid for. I won’t be staying at Hilton again.

The location to the stadium and GasLamp district is very nice. Shirt ride to the commuter trains. The hotel itself is very nice. We were disappointed in our room. We paid extra for a water view room…. Instead they put us in a room right off the elevator and the view was the roof. When I called downstairs about it they told me this was the only room available. We were not offered a discount for the room. So, our accommodation should have been better. That is where they missed the mark.

The photos on the website were completely misleading-my room's only view was of shipping containers being loaded and unloaded at the port, nothing like the beautiful bay view shown online. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and showed no courtesy at all. I feel scammed and very disappointed.

We were disappointed on arrival to find that the hotel staff were on strike and that the hotel had limited services on . Black out curtains on the main doors to the bayfront and pool , no bar , no house cleaning. The poor staff on strike were shouting, bang drums , speaking on loud speakers , you could hear this from the 27th floor and from the pool area . The next morning we cancel our stay and move to another hotel . We had wished that the Hilton had informed of this before we arrived as this had been going on for weeks before. Very disappointed as this hotel had been highly recommended to us .

Spent the weekend on a Father Son getaway to watch a baseball game. Hotel is amazing with beautiful rooms and a great view. Walking distance to the stadium was a huge perk with a 9 year old. Upon checking in I paid to upgrade our room. Unfortunately we were placed next to a room under construction. George at the front desk was incredible and made sure we were taken care of. He was so positive and friendly he is everything you would want as an employee. It was obvious he cared about making our memorable weekend great. Thank you again George.

I have to start off this review by saying the staff and the service was amazing. However, throughout our stay my group and I could not get our room keys to work and had to go to the front desk to get new keys every time we wanted to get back into our room or use the elevator. Of course we understand that this was not the fault of the employees and we are grateful for how helpful they were everytime this occurred, it was just really inconvenient and did put la damper on our stay.

We are from San Diego and know the area very well but our first time staying at the Hilton here in SD. The front desk agent was rude, er got three various charges that didn’t make any sense and she couldn’t even explain why we were charged. The room had a nice view but other than that very basic and underwhelming it can use upgrades. The pool onsite was tiny was only 3ft looked just like a kiddy pool. We were super underwhelmed by the experience we stay at Hilton’s all over the country while the hotel location is beautiful the stay and experience was mediocre at best.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed. Our housekeeper was extremely helpful when we needed extra trash bags. We let her know the one we had was damaged. She fixed the problem right away. Room service was quick. I love that check out was done by text and it was quick and on point. Great job!

We had a great stay. Very easy check in and check out. Hotel was really nice and location was perfect. Walking distance to pretty much anything you would want to do in San Diego. Would definitely stay here again. We went the Padre game and then had a great steak dinner at Lou and Mickeys

This property was in the perfect location for the ballpark and the gaslamp district and has a beautoful walking path along the water. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. The parking is expensive but that seems to be the trend in San Diego. Overall it was a great stay.

The Hilton Bayfront is in an excellent location near the convention center, GasLamp district and the Padres stadium. If you are coming down for the weekend or an event you can just park your car and walk to take an Uber. I had a very nice view from my room.

It’s walkable but also out of the way so not nearly as convenient as staying in the Gas Lamp which is more central to all the things to do. Very family friendly. Rooms didn’t have bottled water, you had to go to their cafe to get the complimentary water which just seemed like a play to get you to spend money in the cafe for other snacks. I always buy snacks but thought it was a weird forced visit. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as other Hiltons and the bath towels were thin. At checkin, the front desk tried to upsell us for a bay view, but our view ended up being just as nice facing the bridge to Coronado. Breakfast options were delicious and lunch was good (not as good as breakfast). Bloody Mary’s at breakfast were far superior to those at the pool. We also saw two very beautiful weddings at the property the weekend we were there. Totally different set ups with gorgeous floral decor.

There was a strike on the property during our stay.The strikers were exceptionally LOUD from 7am-10pm. There were limited services(food, room cleaning, amenities) available. We couldn't enjoy the pool or the bar due to noise. There was limited staff everywhere although the ones that worked were kind. It was a miserable experience!! We never would have stayed there had we known a strike was occurring.

The workers were on strike and many of the amenities weren’t available. Additionally, I paid for breakfast through Expedia and they gave me $25 vouchers for my son and I and the only breakfast available was a buffet which costs $75 for the 2 of us.

The Hotel was amazing. The restaurants on the other hand were outrageously expensive for the poor quality of food. Breakfast at the Hudson & Nash was unedible... the hollindaise was bitter, ham tasted like it was expired as it was lunch meat ham, the bread used was extrememly hard... needed a steak knife. The 40 dollar breakfast steak well... you can have a better steak at Dennys. The pancakes were tough... and needed a steak knIfe as well... the avocado toast...the toast itself was hard and cold. The fries were great tho lol. Lunch items were decent.. Calamari was ok... burger ok, but the cesar salad... the chicken was frozen Tyson chicken strips... not fresh grilled chicken. $130 for lunch, and $157.00 for breakfast. Please go eat at Seaport village. Better quality food! Its a darn shame cause the hotel itself is high Quality yet to have a poor restaurant attached as an only option that serves low quality food is just sad. The waitresses/staff were great. Very slow moving restaurant. The ambiance is very nice. Just so you are aware... Hilton charges extra hidden upon check out. We asked for itemized bill... i had to pay approx 97.00 extra on top of what i was already charged for the room and the additional fee attached thru expedia "resort fee" "a person fee" fees upon secret fees that were not added. Ohhh yes and $50 for parking per day. I would have hoped all charges were revealed upfront. Pool was great, cocktails are expensive but were good. Rooms were great. ..
