Travelodge by Wyndham South Burlington

Staff was great. Room had no hair dryer or shelves in shower. Very noisy. Bed mattress kept slipping off frame. TV was very difficult to operate. Would not book another Travel Lodge.

Room was OK, but the property was in some disrepair (stairs, railings, etc).

It wasn't a bad place to stay, it was just a little difficult with renovations happening to all of the buildings.

In general the property was not maintained in both physical repair or cleanliness. It appeared as though the owners were attempting to fix some things (as evidenced by piles of large boxes in the lobby) but none of that evidence was apparent in my room. Safety latch ripped off, dirty bedding, trash on the floor, mildewed shower curtain, trash from previous guests on the floor, jewelry from previous guests hung in the “closet”, television didn’t work, wifi barely had a connection, exterior walkways were a hazard…

I found the spot for our anniversary and when we pulled in the whole place is completely rundown. As soon as you go through the double doors, it smells like wet, rotten mold when in to the desk waited for 20 minutes until this woman that looked like a crackhead came in disheveled and had purple eye contacts . The abandoned pool was right next to our car. Was completely rundown the fencing the whole property is absolutely horrible. I did not have high. Hope went around the building for room 109 and as soon as I open the door, it was so smelly and disgusting. As soon as I ran in there, I ripped up the corner of the sheets to see if there was bedbugs in the mattress cover looked like it had been slept on without any sheets. It was gross. I thought maybe I’d turn the AC on and that might help clear the air and I’d open the window. The windows were painted shut the air-conditioning unit did not have the filter in it. It had a big giant hole in the plastic where you could see the air-conditioning fins were covered with an inch of brown slime so that means the air is going through that and coming into the room. My Husband came in behind me with all our bags and we sat there for an hour, and I said I cannot stay here. This is so disgusting and as we left, I looked around more and the property is so unbelievably rundown. I told my best friend she looked it up. They’re using it as a homeless/section 8 hotel. I got on the phone as soon as we left and I got a refund. Ruined anniversary.
