Great location, nice staff, my one concern is that the covers are heavy. I sleep hot, it was too warm to use the covers but too cool to sleep without some covering. A single sheet would have been fine. I didn’t open the window to cool the room because of street noise

Just before arriving at the hotel we noticed that there were many fairly recent reviews stating that there were bedbugs. The person at reception confirmed that they had had bed bugs 2 months prior to our arrival but it was all taken care of. Happily, I can report that there were no bedbugs during our stay. The room is small by American standards, but decent sized by European standards. The bathroom was particularly small except for the shower. The shower was nice. The double bed was 2 twin beds pushed together. This in and of itself is fine except that the 2 mattresses would not stay remotely close to each other. There was always a 4-6" gap between the mattresses within a minute after we pushed them back together. The night person at reception was absolutely excellent. We were struggling with logistics to get to the hotel particularly because Uber will not go to their street. He explained my options and as I chose a taxi, he arranged for a cab in the morning and it was there on time.

Located in an ideal spot - super close to museums and Vondelpark. Metro/subway is a bit of a walk but trams at Museumplein are within 8 minutes. The place needs a deep cleaning. Carpet in hallways is grungy. The lack of AC is an issue, even in mid September. It was warm in there, though the fans really helped. They’re trying, staff was helpful and our room was tidied up well enough. We did a thorough inspection for bedbugs given the reviews on this platform as well as google and we saw no evidence nor felt signs of any. Wish it was in better shape because there’s a cool vibe to the place.

Bed bug found after hotel assured us the issue was resolved I booked this hotel for a member of our team travelling for work. Before her stay, she had seen recent reviews mentioning bed bugs and specifically raised the concern with the front desk. She was assured that the issue had been addressed and that there was nothing to worry about. Because of the reviews, we also asked about leaving the hotel early and were told that we would not receive a refund if we did. Unfortunately, during the stay she then found an actual bed bug in her bed. What makes this particularly unacceptable is that we did exactly what a guest should do: we noticed the reports, raised the concern directly with the hotel, and relied on their assurance that the problem had been taken care of. We were also effectively discouraged from moving her elsewhere because the hotel would not refund the remaining nights. Finding a bed bug is bad enough. Finding one after specifically asking about the issue and being assured it had been resolved is much worse. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Great location and nice staff. The hotel itself is perfect for just a crash pad.
