NH Nice

Nice spacious room (premium room), though you could hear noise from the next room. Roof-top terrace and pool was nice. Excellent breakfast. Little out of the city, if you wanted to walk. However, you can take the tram to the city acros the hotel, if you want. I prefered to walk :) The main equipment in the gym wss out of order.

For being a luxury hotel, we would not stay again. When I first arrived, the driveway to enter was small there was no space to unload. Being a foreigner, someone accused us of hitting their car - that did not happen. Once he realized my nephew (the driver) was French he let us be. The property/room looked clean but the floor in our room was dirty - our feet and slippers they provided were black on the first night. We had the junior suite, so there was plenty of room and the bed was comfortable. The amenities were great (sauna, fitness room.)The main reason we would not stay again was the staff/customer service. The reception staff was ok, but in general they were all not friendly. The workers in the restaurant/pool area were especially unkind and condescending (specifically the women.) Their interactions with us made us feel very uncomfortable - constantly watching what we were doing - questioning if we were bringing pool towels to our room which we were not - the bathroom is past the elevator that takes us to our room. When grabbing towels for the pool we were accused of taking too many - there are 4 people in our group so we are taking one for each person. One night we swam late and they said they were out of pool towels so we had to return to our rooms soaking wet - odd that such a nice hotel would run out of pool towels and not have other accommodations? It was really disappointing to have such poor interactions with staff and made me feel on edge throughout our stay.

Everything good, just a bit hard bed. Wonderful location, pool and area.

Hotel in itself was very good, in a nice location and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. The air conditioning was poor for the room cost and even after a maintenance visit, this did not improve. A temperate low of 23.5c is simply not good enough and the hotel was manually stopping use in order to save money, presumably. The breakfast price is €25.99 per person per day and that’s a joke. It is the highest breakfast cost I have ever seen in hotels visited around the world. You can get a great breakfast for two nearby for €15-€20. Please also be aware, you’ll be charged €25 per night for damage, use of mini bar etc and this is refunded if there are no issues. Seems unnecessary if they were able to police the mini bar better which is directly in front of the reception desk.
