They come to clean the room at 9 p.m., and the housekeeper said she forgot to come. In the cafeteria, they make you wait more than 10 minutes to serve you, and they're very rude. The pool was empty on Monday.

Buyer beware. All listings for this hotel feature a pool, but that was a nonstarter. The pool was empty of water and looked like it had been for weeks. The room AC was out of service, too. They don't use fitted sheets on the beds, so roll over once, and you're lying on an uncomfortable wrinkled mess of loose sheets. I was short-changed by the coffee stand barista, and after pointing that out to him he still tried to pocket 4 pesos that belonged to me. The breakfast was pretty good, but someone needs to seriously reexamine what they do with the liquid they call coffee at breakfast. There's great coffee to be found in Mexico but unfortunately they don't have any of it at this hotel. I was grossed out when adding some milk to the coffee and watching it turn to the color of gray mud instead of caramel. The Sonora grill served som good arrachera 'Texan' tacos that were supposed to be served with grilled onion. But to get the onion a mini-argument with the wait staff was required, including them bringing the menu to the table again so that they could read it and then agree that onion was supposed to be part of the dish.

Amazing premium room with beautiful view of the city. The premium access breakfast dinner area was just as amazing. The staff is so nice and helpful. We didn’t want to leave!

Well located near Centro Historico. We stayed on the Premium Level so had access to the Premium Lounge for breakfast and a full, hot buffet happy hour. Everything at the hotel is good-to-very-good but nothing is really great.

The room was not clean upon arrival — I found hair on the floor. During my stay from Thursday through Saturday, my room was only cleaned once. Additionally, I ran out of toilet paper and had to chase down a housekeeper to get more.

The room was dirty, and not vacuumed during my stay (I left crumbs to check). Surfaces hardly cleaned or not at all. Very disappointing. Lifts take an age to come. But the hotel location is good.

This hotel was top tier. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily. The buffet was fresh and had a good variety. We had experienced our first earthquake there while in Mexico City and the staff handled the situation professionally and kept calm during the event. We would recommend our family and friends to this hotel because of the value, cleanliness and location is excellent and central to all tourist attractions.

Llegué 2:50 al registro y te hace. Esperar hasta las 3pm, y se hace una fila larga (lo que deja ver que ya tienen las habitaciones y te hacen esperar a que den las 3 en punto 👎), no hay crema de manos en el baño !!!!, así que hay que llevar su botecito … las habitaciones deterioradas en alfombra, manchadas las paredes, un sillón que se ve viejo y manchado de suciedad y uso….. le hace falta su mantenimiento

Room was clean and breakfast was very good. Front desk staff could be more welcoming. Also housekeeping came very late each day. I believe in 8 days the room was cleaned only 2 times. The bathroom shower area has a bad smell and the air conditioning barely worked.

The hotel was clean but it was incredibly nosy. There was noise every night originating from the street below or the atrium inside. Additionally, the elevators were VERY slow. It took forever to wait for an available elevator. Furthermore, the breakfast was just OK. Service was bad as waiter was running around like crazy getting people drinks. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.

Staff were accommodating and helpful. We did have a weird situation where someone from the staff came into our room at 1:30 am claiming they were called for room service, which we did not order and nor did she have anything to drop off. The person came right into our room- really creepy, and when we complained they said it was a mistake made by their staff. I asked for a refund and they gave me free breakfast the next day , which was nice but the restaurant staff were unaware and we had to go back to the front desk.

el personal de recepción al realizar el registro muy déspota, no me hablaron nada de un posible ascenso por ser nivel oro de Expedia y al final cuando yo les comente me dijeron que ellos no tenían ni convenio ni compromiso con Expedia, no me dieron vale para bebida de cortesía en el ingreso y un día antes de la salida fui a solicitarlo y me lo dieron de mala gana, y en el bar me dijeron que solo tenia derecho a una cerveza. El bufett del restaurante sin variedad, me he hospedado en varias ocasiones en este hotel , pero por el trato que recibí en esta ocasión, no regreso ni lo recomiendo

The good The hotel was clean, staff were accommodating, and the Starbucks in the lobby was convenient! The valet employees were friendly and fast every time. The bad The elevators were very slow, food was 3/10 (not fresh tasting and not good quality ingredients). My main complaint is how the staff treated us after my toddler had a meltdown in the lobby one night. My son(4yrs) was crying screaming for a few seconds and after we got into our hotel room the manager and police came knocking on the door. This was a bad look on their part. I get that no one wants to hear a child have a tantrum, but neither did I, and on top of it I had the police at my door. Definitely made a stressful situation worse.

Hubo un temblor de 6.5 en el primer dia de mi estancia. A pesar del enorme susto, cuando solicité cambio a habitaciones de pisos más bajos, se negaron. Nadie se acercó a preguntar qué necesitábamos, si teníamos dudas, si estábamos bien después del temblor. Además, solicité cama king size y dieron dobles. Se negaron al cambio en esto también. No quisieron facturar mi estancia, dijeron que hoteles.com es quien lo haría, lo cual, no es verdad. El servicio del personal en el bar fue muy condescendiente. En general, el personal con el que tuve contacto tenían una característica en común: petulancia. Después de esta experiencia, no creo volver hospedarme en Barceló en el futuro.

Celia Clara me reservó una habitación adaptada. Me cercioré antes de llegar. Me lo garantizó. Me dieron la 330. Y el baño ni barras tenía. En la regadera no cabe una silla de ruedas. Mi hija en silla de ruedas no pudo usar el wc durante la estancia y por supuesto ni bañarse. Me sentí defraudada. Entiendo que solo hay 1 habitación así , pero de decirme que no estaba disponible hubiera ido a otro hotel. Para mí hay más opciones. Pero se me negó al garantizarla. MUY MAL.

Room smelled weird, like Clorox and old carpet. Pool is headed but jacuzzi and pool are together so not hot jacuzzi. For sauna and steam room have to reserve with 30 minutes in advance so they turn on the heat. Sadly even though we call in advance every single day, half of the time sauna or steam room wasn’t hot. Hotel is big and lot of people use this facilities, so I don’t know why they don’t just let those rooms working through the day. Front desk and hotel info said 15% off in hotel’s restaurants, but Sonora Grill and the Japanese restaurant don’t do the discount because is considered not part of the hotel. The other Italian restaurant does 15% off but food was not good, pizza was good tho, but the rest was meh and took a long time. Some guests told us breakfast not good either and overpriced. At the entrance of hotel was an old man every single day asking for money, and there was a homeless family with 3 small children sleeping and asking money by the door for a couple of nights. I was traveling with my child so that was hard to see. Hotel is nice and pretty, just need better management making sure in correct some details. Hope my review helps in improving experience. Hotel is very pretty. My tip to guests, bring a scented candle lol besides that I think hotel and location is good.

The staff was good. Evening restaurant is good. That is it! The room had no ventilation, the air/heater was not working (we called for a technician and nothing changed) the shower pressure was low.we called the manager for a credit to the charge with no response via phone nor mail. No coffee shop on site except a Starbuck's for morning breakfast. Due to manifestations, entrance was blocked.

Food options at Fontana breakfast buffet were poor. Replenshiment was slow, quality sub standard. We booked a king size room, upon arrival was told non available, given a tiny (803) room with two double beds. we were a couple, completely unsatisfactory. no remedy or upgrade given not even complimentary breakfast. we have stayed at Barcelo several times before. we will no longer stay at this hotel.

The breakfast menu was superb. As a premium guest you also get access to the 12th floor lounge which gave you wonderful views of the city and was fairly quiet. The premium room was lovely and had everything we needed. On the last day we even noticed staff cleaning the luggage carts. Their attention to detail was noticeable and the staff were very friendly. This hotel played a huge role in our overall experience visiting CDMX for the first time. Because of this, we intend on staying in Barcelo hotels from here on out.
