I stayed at the end of April 2023 and I was told this hotel sustained significant damage in December 2022 due to water pipes freezing. The renovation is not done but construction was not on-going during my weekday visit. I was told first floor rooms are not ready to be occupied yet. Staff very friendly and helpful. With tax, paid over $160 per night which is to much. It is a safe 15 minute walk to the National AF Museum. Abundance of food options 2 miles away but it is not walk-able (safely). Free breakfast is okay and typical of any continental bfast offering. Rooms are large, relatively clean with Direct TV. Sound proofing between rooms is average to below average.

Cons: A lot of crumbs in the pull-out sofa bed. Had to clean the air conditioning filter ourselves so the unit could somewhat cool the room set on high at 64F. The main hall air-conditioning unit was loud. Pinpoint black stains on bedding. Loose tiles in bathroom. Parts of the plaster were missing. Someone had taken of the baseboard but left the hardware and didn't paint it to match. Stains on the curtains. The pool was cloudy and the pool room does not look like it had been cleaned. Pros: Bed comfortable. Fridge worked. Microwave spotless.No bugs found. Breakfast was minimal but worked for us. Staff was nice and location was perfect.

The AC unit stopped working at 4:30 am and when it was mentioned to the staff at checkout, I was told "they will take care of it" No apology or even mention or offer for any sort of refund. The pool was dirty(could not see the bottom), the eggs at breakfast were cold, the fitness center equipment did not work, the shower had little pressure, and the parking lot/entrance was poorly lit and very difficult to navigate. We previously stayed at another Choice Hotels property and our recent stay did not compare one bit. Difference was night and day.

Terrible smelling and poorly renovated. Guest relations asked if I wanted to leave vs fixing the problems. Parking lot was full of pot holes as well as the entrance and exit. The mattress sunk in as soon as you layed on it and did not reach from end to end. HATED IT!!

Always my first choice when I come to the National Museum of the United States Air Force. It’s directly across the street. Front desk staff have always been very nice and answer any questions I may have. The hotel has always been very clean, every visit I have made. Only downside this visit was no pool towels. But the front desk had some available.

The check in was very slow until I got to the front of the line and the desk person was on the phone with someone the whole time. The room was fine. There wer construction materials stored in the the lobby. The property is very isolated.

The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The room was clean but had a lot of noticeable stains on the carpets and the mattress. It wasn't messy and was definitely presentable but definitely could use a decent deep cleaning overall. I would consider staying here again.

We stayed four nights. Entire hotel was very clean, all staff were friendly and efficient, room larger than most, beds comfortable, shower nice and hot. Breakfast was good and staff replenished food constantly during the breakfast time. All in all, a very pleasant stay in a well-run hotel.

Old, dirty, and falling apart. Literally felt like the room was detaching from the side of the building with cracking walls, broken door frame, buckling bathroom tile, and the floor slopes towards the exterior window. The shower head was like washing my hair with a squirt gun and the bath tub hurt to stand in with the way the floor was bowing. Grimy dirt was in every crack and crevice, the shower curtain had yellow mildew stains around the bottom, the ceiling was moldy, and the beds were uncomfortable. The room advertised as spots for 5 people but the twin size sofa bed did not come with any bedding, mattress pad, or pillow (they needed to be picked up from the front desk, whereas other hotels already have them in the closet ready to go or will drop off to the room). The breakfast was so sketchy looking that we opted to go to a restaurant instead.

The room was not clean.we let that go and didnt bother complaining then the second day we seen cockroaches in the outlets . They refused to give me a full refund. I had to drive 30 minutes away to find a different hotel for the second night

This was a quiet, clean, and comfortable hotel. Our room was quite spacious, as well, in comparison to many other hotels we've stayed in. Another plus is that it is directly across the street from the Air Force Museum.We had to come to Dayton for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again if we needed to return to the area.

Between the noisy fridge in the room ( high pitched whine) and the racket coming from the ice machine down the hall, it was definitely necessary to put in earplugs to sleep. Not good soundproofing against noises of neighboring rooms either. If there were highway noises in addition, one couldn't hear those!

Beds are comfy, rooms are very spacious. I have stayed here a couple times now. It's the closest Hotel to the Air Force Museum. No place could be more convenient for Museum goers like myself. Staff was friendly and handled any requests I had promptly. I have spent 6 nights there now, and I will be back soon. Thank you for a great stay.

Encountered a desk employee who didn’t like our driving (we were unfamiliar w/ the access road. We have never, I repeat never experienced the road rage this individual spewed out to us. He even knew we were guests & this didn’t stop him.

Mostly a good stay. Only complaint was housekeeping did not close our door after cleaning our room. It was unlocked until we returned which was very frustrating. Make sure to take your valuables with you when you go out for the day!

The hotel sits in an area that has been abandoned for development by the city. It is fine...there are no issues at all, but it's just a strange little area. Very convenient to Wright-Patterson though and the USAF Museum of Aviation.

Something has changed at this location. We stay here every time we are in the area . The rooms are still clean but daytime desk clerk i dont think he speaks English. The food they are trying to serve for breakfast went right in the trash and we had to eat out . I might be tempted to look elsewhere for the next visit.

The property and staff were excellent. The free breakfast is average. Not a whole lot of selection. Very limited choices as compared to other hotels I have staid at. That's why I rated it average. If the menu was compatible to other hotels, I would have given them an excellent rating.

This room had the most comfortable bed and pillows! The room was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast offerings were limited, but tasty. The staff was very helpful, and it was an easy drive to the University of Dayton, where my daughter had a scheduled visit. On the negative side, there was a funny smell coming from the refrigerator area, and the fridge actually froze our drinks overnight. Also, the heater needs an adjustment. When we entered the room, it was stifling hot, but the thermostat read only 70 degrees. We ended up having the air-conditioning on all night, which brought the room down to a comfortable temperature.
