We were disappointed to arrive and find out the hot tub was not working. The carpeting is heavily stained in the hallways. The room furniture is quite worn. The buffet breakfast had lots of options and was well kept by very helpful and friendly staff.

Room- King Handicap accessible- not available, under maintenance. Mattress very hard & uncomfortable. Over priced. Towels- very thin & rough Staff- very friendly & accommodating Breakfast - Coffee not good & cold so we decided not to have breakfast there & went to Hanks Hot tub, main reason we booked - confirmed 1 wk b4 that it was available & hours, all good to good. Day of ck in Hot tub was under maintenance since August. Will book elsewhere next tome. Will not recommend

Hotel in good location. Needs work on cleaning using the deodorizer. Way too overpowering. Burning sensation when you breathe as you open your room door. Wish I could have opened a window or put on fan.

The King-sized room we reserved smelled of a musty, somewhat old smoke, smell. The main room was not vacuumed well; you could literally see a line of dust that ran straight down the edge of the carpet about three inches out; and the bathroom was dirty [pubic hair in the shower]. I brought the issues to the attention of the front desk who were very courteous and assisted us with a new room. The second room did not smell and did not have obvious cleanliness issues. AT the same time both rooms had a small desk and two odd chairs in the room. The only piece of furniture other than the desk in either King room was a triangular cabinet in the corner with a TV on it. The trim of each cabinet was missing a piece on the bottom. However, both rooms and I would gather much of the hotel is in need of updates. The carpets in the rooms have seen a lot of guests and absorbed a lot of odors. The room walls are in need of paint. The staff was pleasant and sought to do what they could to remedy the issues.

Beds were good, but the hotel has aged to the point the many fixtures are worn looking even the toilet seat. The shower was weak and not enough water came out for a good wash. This was terrible. The light bulbs flickered and made noise, and the TV was very difficult to turn on. I would not recommend this hotel, although I have stayed at others and the stay was fine. Needs an upgrade!!!!!

This was a basic, older Hampton Inn. The carpets badly needed to be replaced. But the bed was comfortable; the room was quiet; and the breakfast the usual nice buffet. The location is convenient - and the price was reasonable. So overall, this is a fine place to stay for a night.

The staff was friendly, everything was clean. The HVAC unit in the room was the loudest I have ever experienced. That and the horrible pillows made it difficult to sleep. The breakfast was ok, and checkout was easy

The walls were very thin...I could hear peope in the hallway. The room was very dim. No bright lights accessible and the pillows and bed were not that great. It was very inconvenient for me to have to ask the cook for non pork items because 2 of the 3 things 4 hot food contained pork. What I did like was that the kitchen manager was accompadating and the front desk clerk was nice and friendly.

Fatemmah who was behind the desk did an outstanding job getting us checked in and had to enlist the help of the general manager as Expedia Had not forwarded our prepaid reservation . She was able to get the problem handled to our complete satisfaction. We really appreciated her reassuring effort to handle our problem😊

Everything about our stay was excellent. I will not hesitate to stay here again even as just a little getaway with the kids!!! Shout out to the young man who helped us out twice. When we first got there and he went to find the front desk clerk for us and when we got locked out of our room. He was amazing! I'm just sorry I cannot remember his name.

Have booked at this Hampton for 4+ years, and will continue. Undergoing renovations to the Lobby, Dining area and upgrades to the guest rooms; it will take this Hampton over the top. From Desk staff is excellent ( all of them). Ask for "Lucius" if you need anything, he is a great ambassador for Hampton!

During our 4 day stay, the room would not cool more than 75 degrees and at times it was warmer. I notified the manager. She gave us a fan and claimed that she would refund our dog fee and one night's stay because she didn’t have another room available. She instructed me to contact Expedia about the refund, which i did. When we checked out, i wanted to confirm that we were given the refund but no one ever came to the front desk. Many people were also waiting. I left our key cards on the desk and left since others in line had already been waiting for 30 minutes. Expedia continued to try and resolve the refund, but they were not successful. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Aside from the broken thermostat, the furniture was worn out, breakfast closed earlier than the scheduled time and was poorly stocked. I intend to call Hampton Inn corporate regarding my experience.

The Hampton staff somehow had us in a handicap room incorrectly so changed us and upgraded us to a suite at no additional charge which was a great change as the room was larger and nice and bright. We had a light out in the bathroom but a quick call had it back up and running. We were very happy as this was the second time we stayed at this hotel. Staff is very friendly and inviting, hotel is very clean and well laid out. Only thing that can be a little hairy is the hotel is located behind a steak house and next to a Chik-fil-e which is great but traffic in and out at times is busy to get to the hotel parking lot in the Rea of those entry areas and parking lots. That said though it is a fast walk to great food and drinks. Very happy with this location and we’ll stay here again. Next time we’ll bring the pups as this is pup friendly. First time we had our pups and this last time we didn’t but it is easy access for your fur friendly’s for sure.

The Hotel Engineer, I believe his name was Lucius King, was over the top helpful. He was proud of the many years spent as an employee and was determined to make sure our needs were met especially with regard to his innovative dining options given the nearby Texas Roadhouse involved a very long line of customers and over an hour wait to be served. He encouraged us to order at the takeout window and dine in the hotel lobby. He even provided a discount card from the hotel. It was a brilliant solution. The ambiance in the Lobby was many times more enjoyable than the crowded restaurant. Lucius even offered some beverages from the breakfast juice machine. He was delightful and a huge credit to all Hampton Inns.

Chose this property because we wanted to be close to Swarthmore College and Longwood Gardens. Great surprise when we pulled in that hotel is walkable to Chik Fil A and Texas Roadhouse. Staff very friendly. Our room was large with high ceilings on first floor. Would've liked more lighting in room and a larger mini fridge, but overall we liked the room! Complimentary breakfast buffet was wonderful. Hot oatmeal, kielbasa, eggs lots of breads. Best part was waffle makers. Regular batter AND birthday cake batter! Whip cream, sprinkles chocolate syrup for toppings! J was super friendly. He made sure all the foods got replenished quickly. I will definitely stay at this property again the next time we come to Swarthmore.

This Hampton Inn is close to routes 1 and 322 but tucked away and in the back of a parking lot, so its location will offer convenience while ensuring a quiet place for a good night's sleep. The staff are friendly. The decor is a little outdated but the beds are very comfortable and property is very clean. I would highly recommend for either business or personal travel with children.

Great location for access to Brandywine Valley and WIlmington historic and cultural sites. Everything you need in retail amenities, diverse restaurants. We hit Portabello in Kennet Square for a splendid mushroom-based dining experience.

This morning I took a shower and there was no shampoo in the shower. The water was lukewarm. After we went to breakfast. I'm a vegetarian. They put all the meat, eggs and potatoes in three separate containers but still in the same containers. Which is food contamination for me. So needless to say I did not eat. Honestly I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't suggest anyone does

Room key never worked so maintenance had to keep letting us into of our room. I know that we needed a handicap accessible room and it made it difficult to switch, but it was still annoying despite their every effort to get the door lock to work. We couldn't use the discount at the nearby restaurant because we didn't have a key to show. Breakfast was sub-"usual" Hampton Inn- sign said pancakes but they were french toast sticks, all the juices tasted watered down, coffee tasted slightly scorched, oatmeal was runny, just a bunch of little things. We were glad it was only a one night stay. Beds and linens were good, though.
