BOAT-SWIM-FISH Lake Cottage-Pontoon Rental

Very cute little home, right on the water and with a lovely view. We had a really nice stay and were so happy that we added the pontoon rental.

There was great communication prior, during, and immediately after my stay at this wonderful VRBO home on Lake Orono in Elk River. My dogs and I were the primary occupants for the full 10-days; however, I did have family nearby. They were able to stop by on occasion for a visit or for a meal, which was wonderful! The kitchen had many of the utensils I needed but be sure to bring your own ingredients. The basic salt, pepper, and cooking spray were in the cupboard upon my arrival, but I am not sure that is part of the package or a guarantee :-)My son and his family were able to join me for fishing off the dock. The weather was rainy for over the weekend, so we didn't enjoy the kayaks or the paddle board this time (I would return again for sure). One thing I do want to call out is that you want to let your hosts know 5 days in advance if you want to use a pontoon, so they have time to have it delivered. I didn't do that, so I am tucking that piece of intel in my pocket for my next visit. The lake is absolutely beautiful, especially the sunrise and sunsets. The home is near many wonderful attractions, and I definitely recommend this VRBO rental. As mentioned, I certainly will be back!

Everything was perfect. I was shocked how well stocked it was. Every ktichen item you could need. Toilet paper and detergents. It was so clean and smelled amazingly. The communication was fantastic. We were staying due to home renovation we stayed several weeks and we were not disturbed by them nor ignored with questions. The view was incredible. They even have bikes and kiacks (spelling). Absolutely fun little house. It is very compact rooms. Fully furnished. Would stay again just to get away from home!!!

We had a great stay. House was clean, cozy and warm. Any initial concerns we had were addressed quickly by the property manager, which were minor. The steps are steep for anyone who has issues with stairs, but we were fine. Downtown was cute. I would recommend checking out Tipsy’s on Main for dinner and drinks…. Farm to table and everything was great. Old Main Eatery was awesome for breakfast and early lunch. Family owned and delicious.Property was very quiet at night and had a great view from the kitchen window. We were there in late November so we couldn’t enjoy the outside amenities but the fire pit and dock looked beautiful. Linens were nice and plenty of dishes, pots and pans…. Just bring the food!Would Absolutly stay again if in the area!

Overall, a beautiful home with spectacular views of the lake. Very quiet area and walkable to downtown for shops & dining.
