Dated. Pool is lovely. View was nice. Rooms desperately need an update.

Major lobby construction underway, hotel access and moving around a pain. Only 1 elevator most of the time. Parking lot surface filthy with braking down asphalt, and sand, needs major vacuuming and sealing, $29 a day parking fee not included in resort fee.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Rooms and Grounds, but Inconvenient Layout & Policies We recently stayed in a newly remodeled "Pool View/Partial Ocean View" room, which was excellent; the bed was very comfy, the room was spotless, and the shower had great water pressure. The landscaping throughout the resort is also immaculately kept. However, the current construction in the lobby made navigating the resort a major headache. To get to our 2nd-floor room, we had to go to the opposite wing, up to the 3rd floor, walk across, and then back down. The towel policy is also a letdown; you have to exchange a card at the lobby (which is in the opposite direction of the pool), making it feel redundant and poorly planned. Pros: Staff: Very friendly and personable, though our check-in agent spoke very fast and lacked a welcoming smile. Gift Shop: Huge selection! We also didn't realize there was a Starbucks in the back until our third day. Cleanliness: Rooms and grounds are 10/10. Cons: Pool/Jacuzzi: Several pool sections were blocked off without explanation, and the only Jacuzzi was out of order. Hours: Drinks closing at 6:00 PM at the Driftwood Bar is way too early, and there is no poolside wait staff. Fees: Expect to pay $29/night for self-parking (or $39 for valet) on top of a $35 daily resort fee. Communication: We wish the check-in staff had explained the concierge services (called on day two) or the QR code for resort info (found on day three).

Roaches every night, to the point my mom killed one on accident in the night with her water bottle on the night stand. Bathroom shower was peeling and stained. Half the pools were closed or blocked off. Nobody ever came to clean, let alone make beds or swap out towels. Room smelled weird? Not ADA accessible, which is sad because I had to help 2 elderly people in walkers down the stairs from the ground floor since there weren't any ramps. They also charged $250 in hidden resort fees at check-in, even though they confirmed I had paid in full ahead of time?? Overall Outrigger is definitely not anywhere I'll ever stay again on any island. Avoid.

Kinda expensive for the rooms. Most likely paying for the location. Hotel older as are the rooms we stayed in with few power plugins and amenities. Beautiful surroundings and beach are wonderful.
