This is a lovely hotel with a hanging garden look interior and rooms are industrial modern. Rooms are good sized and we had a nice balcony. Issues though were bothersome. No ice machines on any floor only pour over coffee in the room that was weak and not very hot. Biggest issue was the gym which was tiny and minimally equipped. No exercise bikes of any kind and tucked in a dark corner room. Restaurant was only open limited hours so had to go across the street for a late lunch that was excellent. Last issue was on day of departure we called desk for baggage help and they never showed. After 30 minutes we gave up and schlepped our bags downstairs. Valet parking was excellent btw. In the heart of coconut grove and overall delightful hotel. Not the usual cookie cutter business traveler stay.

Very disappointing stay. We were a family with a small child and the hotel put us in a room located just above a noisy, nightlife filled street. Even after we begged the hotel to move us to the other, quieter side of the hotel, as our child wasn't able to sleep, they declined. Also, the swimming pool was filled with hot water. Completely unrefreshing on days where the outdoor temp was over 35c. We visited friends at the ritz carlton pool and it was cool and refreshing there - so clearly the hot water swimming pool was specific to our hotel. Also, almost no available chairs at the pool, while multiple empty daybeds sat empty with "reserved" signs on them. Overall, a bad experience where we didn't sleep well for our whole stay and we had zero ability to be outdoors and comfortable on the hot days. The only bright spot of the stay was the amazing team at the front desk during the days, who managed to cheer up our grumpy sleep deprived child whenever we passed by.

Overall beautiful property. However, service and communication was sub par. Room decor was an expected 80’s feel but worn, tattered, and dusty. Hotel ran out of coffee day two, big deal for someone like myself. Rooftop venue was closed due to a private party. Expectations were higher for a premium suite.

A dirty, stained towel was placed, but no hand towel was placed the next day. The breakfast is very poor, so-called free breakfast, you can choose one kind, everything else is paid I paid 350 usd per night, there is not even a parking lot I definitely do not recommend it.

Overall, my stay was good. Housekeeping could use some improvement when it comes to efficiency and communication. There were three separate times during my stay that towels and wash cloths weren’t replaced and two instances where sheets weren’t changed. One day I waited two hours just to get wash cloths after spending hours in the sun at the rooftop pool. The staff is kind, but their timeliness needs major improvement. There was also a rude staff member who tried to scold me for taking a photo in one of the lounge areas before I told him that I’m staying at the hotel and celebrating my graduation. I stayed at Mayfair just a month prior, and was so impressed that I wanted to come back on my extended trip. Aside from those issues, it was a nice stay. My room was filthy. And on top of that, it did not have a fridge. I asked someone to clean the stains in the bathroom, and in the room, but all they did was just to dust a little. I bought cleaning products and had to clean the bathroom myself for it to become useful.

Location was A+. Valet service was C. Amenities were C-. Hotel common space was clean, but our bedding on night 1 had to be changed due to stains on sheets and mattress pad before use. No waters in the room or onsite to purchase. No shower doors, so water puddled in the bathroom. Noise level from interior walkways was terrible. With all the issues, except for location, it was overpriced.

Beautiful clean hotel in a great area. The rooms are spacious and lovely. The amenities were also great. Our only complaint was that housekeeping did not clean our room for two days and we didn’t have the do not disturb sign on the door. We had to call the front desk for new towels.

Beds very comfortable. However rooms are very dark with little to no natural light, and the rooms also don’t have many lights, so day time it is hard to see. The included breakfast was not good. Service was horrible, wait times were long, we were denied seating at 9:20am when it didn’t end until 10. We were given a takeout option, and given 3 smoothie bowls that were completely melted with no utensils. Staff were rude when asked to help.

The staff at The Mayfair is generally excellent. The rooftop is pretty nice too. The restaurant, however, is painfully average, but since the area is packed with food options, this isn't a problem. The major issue with the hotel is that the walls are paper thin, and you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing, including every work of their conversations. I didn't sleep well at all due to this.

The room was very big (we booked a double king which is rare to find!) and comfortable. Great bed and a cool vintage look and feel with the remodeling. We were on the 3rd floor and had no view at all but rather a concrete wall on the terrace. This makes for a rather dark cave type experience but given the heat wave it actually was ok. The bathroom is also fine and big. They need to work on reducing the sound of door slamming from room doors!! It is horrendously loud... I am sure there is a quick fix for that. There is also some water "wall noise" from other rooms when other guests shower which is weird but it is an old structure... Also they need to refresh the elevators which have no AC... they were like saunas for some reason.

Wonderful stay at Mayfair. Loved the open air concept in the main areas, gorgeous rooftop with pool, room had an outdoor shower with private balcony area. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Walking distance to cute boutiques, shopping area and many restaurants. Will return again on my next trip back to Coconut Grove!

We love the Mayfair. This is our third stay in a year. It’s absolutely lush and beautiful and the rooms are charming and spacious. The location is ideal - right in the heart of Coconut Grove. The staff is so accommodating and energetic and kind. We loved the gym and the pool. We love Mayfair !

The hotel has a lot of charm, and the staff, especially Simon and Jeff in reception and Fabian the valet, were exceptional. However we stayed one night when the AC was not operating and this led us to checking out early. Had this not been the case it would've led to a longer and more enjoyable stay. I hope management takes note of this and have a backup plan ready. Worth a stay, but keep alternatives in mind, because it was unbearable.

The AC system for the hotel broke down in the middle of the night and there was no AC for the whole night, the service people (housekeeping, security etc) just barges into your room without knocking all the time, the service at the breakfast was terrible.

The concierge Fernando was extremely helpful! My mother and I had arrived after waiting in an airport all day to find out our flight was canceled. Fernando was welcoming reassuring, and we felt safe and comfortable knowing he had our best interest at hand. He had a wonderful personality and provided us with optimal service. I am a hotel owner, I am very familiar with hospitality and he gets a 10 out of 10!

I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. A valuable personal item went missing after the room was cleaned, and despite bringing this to the hotel's attention, I never received a follow-up call. This experience was frustrating and left me feeling let down by the level of service.

From check-in to check-out I constantly felt at ease. From the friendly front desk staff attendant Fernando who answered all my questions and made my stay a breeze, to the pool bartender Landon who offered amazing service. I can’t say enough about this hotel, every time I visit Miami, the Mayfair is my first choice.

We got to the hotel a little early and it was extremely busy, so our room was not ready. This was not a problem as we were able to grab a few cocktails on the rooftop. They told us that they would text us when our room was ready. A few hours later way after check in time, we still had not received a text, so I went downstairs to check on it. I should add that the elevators were extremely slow for our entire trip. When I finally got downstairs our room was ready and I got our key. When we went to the room there was already another couple in the room! It was very awkward walking into a room and someone else already being there. Not able to get anyone on the phone at the front desk, all four of us went back downstairs. The other couple was upgraded, and we were not even apologized to. In addition, they kept us in the same room that the other couple had already unpacked in. We paid for a "city view" room and the room did not have a single window and smelled mildewy and musty. I complained on check out and again not an apology or any type of compensation just a "I will let my manager know". This was a business trip and I travel quite often for work. For the price that this hotel was, I expected more. The only good quality was that it was in a prime location, but there are other hotels around there and next time I will be looking at those.

From the time we walked in we were treated kindly. Fernando checked us in early because we arrived early. He was very polite and helpful. He helped us up to our rooms with the luggage. Mayfair’s property is beautiful and gives me tropical vibes. Very luxurious and elegant. The rooftop bar has very great views of the ocean and the staffvtgere was pleasant as well. I would visit this place again.

Check in was atrocious! Rooms weren’t ready after check in time. There was so much confusion at the front “table” and no one to park our car or help with the luggage (for which they charged a hefty fee).

The hotel is very nice and the service excellent. The rooms are painted very dark colors and offers very little natural light, but we spent most of our time outside. Amazing location with a myriad of shopping and dining options. Keep in mind, although it’s pet friendly they will charge you a $150 cleaning fee which I consider a bit excessive. The rooftop pool and bar was very nice…good delicious and service was very good. They also offer free bikes which were a fun way to explore the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: great customer service. I really enjoyed being able to text when we needed something and they were always quick with whatever we needed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I loved the balcony in the suite and the room was so spacious. It was also very clean. Probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed at. Cons: The complimentary breakfast was almost inedible. My quiche was burnt and I noticed the other people in the dining room also not eating their food. Definitely room for improvement there. The shower nob was broken and you really have to watch your step when getting out of the shower/tub as there is nothing to hold on to. The cost of parking was way too expensive. $55 a day but that includes valet service. Not the fault of the staff but there was loud construction going on at it kept waking us and our baby up. There was also cigarette smell wafting into our room which as you can understand with the baby is concerning. They offered to move us with the construction which I appreciated and sent security to investigate the cause of the cigarette smoke. But still, it really impacted the overall stay.

Check-in and valet was excellent, room was good, clean and neat and decor was different. Most botanical lovely hotel. Breakfast service was awful and could have better options. Brought to the table several wrong orders after 20 minutes of sitting on the table they didn’t take the order. Orange juice wasn’t natural and could have better options. Decoration of the hotel was ver nice. Little oasis in the middle of coconut grove.

Mayfair is the perfect spot for exploring Coconut grove and the surrounding area. We loved the style/vibe of the hotel…highlights for us were dinner at the grill, the rooftop pool vibe, and the fountain lounge ambience.

I had a fantastic stay that truly lived up to its promise! The room's layout and private mini Mediterranean outdoor space were absolute highlights, complete with a refreshing outdoor shower that was a lovely surprise. Although my time was limited, what I did experience was a wonderful change of pace from my usual city accommodations. The unique food options were a delight, and the welcome drink was simply delicious. Huge thanks to the entire staff for their warm hospitality and for helping create such pleasant memories. Can't wait to return.

I stayed at the Mayfair years ago and it was lovely. It's since been remodeled. It's a nice property. The gardens are cool and the decor is very appealing. I like the private, outdoor terrace in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The showers are a little odd as the doors open in and are fairly large. I arrived at the hotel early as I had a very early flight to Miami, so I was thankful that there was a room available. I grabbed breakfast (tasty but nothing special/limited menu) and took a nap. Where I had an issue was with service later. The hotel offers room service (allegedly). I had slept most of the day and was a mess. I attempted to order dinner and no one would answer. I called the front desk. No one would answer. I called the reservations number on the website. No one would answer. I knew I would need room service which is one reason I selected this hotel. Don't advertise ammenties that you can't accommodate. Yes, no room service is certainly a first world problem, but when you pay for certain ammenities (it's not an inexpensive hotel), you expect to be able to use those. As the hours passed, it became increasingly frustrating. It's a pretty place. If you're willing/able to be self sufficient and not need the hotel to have employees to assist, then you'll likely be fine.

Lies over lies. Upgrades where??? I stayed at the Mayfair many times over the past 20 years and this was my fisrt time back since the supposedly upgrades to the property and rooms. Let me start by the front lobby. You check in on your own or at a table. Where is the customer service? Then they LIE to you and tell you by telling you they are giving you complementary breakfast and a drink. Suprise i went to the bar for my free drink and it was either a glass of dry red wine or something they make up with vodka. They should tell customers that so we dont wast our time. Breakfast what a joke. Complementary where? They give you the menu and show you 5 things that are complementary and the rest of
