We had a lovely and relaxing stay at the Wine Down Cottage. The property is beautiful and in a great central location. The house was very clean and had everything for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is stocked with all amenities needed should you choose to cook. Cambria had a few warm days so the A/C was so nice. And the Jacuzzi in the private back yard was great when it cooled down in the evening. The Cambria Pines Lodge is a few steps away across the street so we enjoyed a couple of happy hours and dinner one evening. They also do a Pizza Night on Friday evenings with live music. Diane was a great hostess and her communication was top notch! We will definitely be back to stay here in the future! Thank you!

Perfect! Everything we could have wanted was there at the house. The owners made the extra effort to consider every need (or want) of a potential renter. All the spices needed for meal preparation were provided. We used the clean gas grill, sat at the fire pit on the cool evenings, and soaked in the hot tub. The location is perfect and comfortably fit our oversized truck in the driveway. It is conveniently located near downtown and the beach. We plan on staying longer next time!

This is a lovely, updated cottage conveniently located just minutes from downtown Cambria and the ocean. It has a large, well-equipped kitchen and sits on a beautiful, double-sized lot with plenty of outdoor seating. The host, Diane, was friendly and attentive. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The host was super attentive and helpful. The house was cozy, comfortable and had everything a family of 4 needed to enjoy our stay. The cute little town with shops and restaurants was super close and we enjoyed everything Cambria had to offer including the gem of a find in the Covell Clydesdale ranch hidden just above town. Being a mom and used to all my gadgets and tools at home, I was very impressed with how thoughtful the host was with all that was available in the kitchen. Everything was also in good working order. Loved the beautiful touches of decor that made the house feel like a home. We absolutely loved the hot tub and fire pits too. It was great to have a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring, and safely enjoy the stars out at night. We will definitely come back to visit again!

The host was amazing and gave us a call right after. Check into the ensure we made it and had everything we needed. She gave suggestions of places to go and restaurants to eat at. The home was perfect for our family and two little dogs. The backyard was amazing and split up into two sections. The main yard had a wood fire pit with a boat that my daughter enjoyed playing on there was a side yard off of the master bedroom that was additionally gated that had plenty of seating, a hot tub and a propane fire pit. The beds were comfortable and adequate seating throughout the home, even though we spent majority of our time outside in the yard. Would stay again! The town is a little bit sleepy and a lot of the shops and restaurants do close early so important to make note of that in case that is important to you. Also, the town doesn't have a major grocery store or drugstore, so you might want to plan ahead and stop in Paso Robles before continuing to Cambria. Not a deal breaker but just something to know in case you're looking for having a nice dinner at home.

Lovely home that's perfect for dogs with a huge fenced in yard. House was adorable and updated with a secluded jacuzzi & sitting area right off the Master Bedroom. Property owner was attentive & responded quickly to questions. It's a very short walk to the Fireside Lounge for drinks, food, & live music with your pups. Also just a short drive to shopping & the beach. We had a great time staying here & would book again.

The house itself was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit in the evening. It is close to town and across the street from Cambria Pines Lodge. There is also a nursery I would recommend visiting.

This house was so beautiful, clean, dog friendly and had everything we needed. Great communication, amenities and very close to downtown Cambria and Hearst Castle. Can’t wait to book it again. Did I mention how clean it was? Just perfect!

The home was not lacking in all necessities and in addition had good landscaping, spacious back yard with fire pit. Close proximity to Cambria Pines hotel and restaurant. The only negative was the uncleared plates for which the host was embarrassed because her cleaning person had recently experienced a family tragedy and my bed dipped where many others had slept before. Even so, the place provides a superior environment to spend several days.

We enjoyed our stay at this property as the house was very clean and very well stocked. I want to emphasize that it is stocked above and beyond! We found the location to be quite convenient: close to shops, restaurants, freeway, etc. yet it is a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to town by going down the hill with 200 steep steps. Great exercise, especially going up!The only negative for us was the queen mattress and the pillows in the master bedroom. They are very firm! And the mattress seems to slop to the edges. We did not have a good night sleep as a result. However, the guest in the other bedroom was happy with their bed. The yard is convenient arranged although our dog was confused about the lack of grass but it is on her, not the host lol The perimeter was very well secured to prevent any possibility of escaping. We really appreciate this detail. Thank you for hosting our family!

This property is beautifully maintained both inside and out and stocked with all the amenities a guest could want or need. Located in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes'drive from the Fiscalini preserve and downtown Cambria. The backyard is huge and though we did not use the wood burning firepit, it was all set up with firewood and kindling just ready for a match. The home is attractively decorated in a cute cottage decor, spotlessly clean and has a fully stocked kitchen including coffee and creamer. The bed and pillows in the primary suite were very comfortable. There was just two of us this trip but the home could comfortably house a larger group. Diane is a responsive host who easily accommodated my special request regarding allergies. I highly recommend Wine Down Cottage for a great stay in Cambria!

It may be the Wine Down Cottage but to our family it felt like an Enchanted Castle in the woods.The property has spectacular sunset views and the nightly stars in the sky. The accommodations were clean and fitting for the space making everything feel open and airy. Diane and Ralph really go above and beyond to cover all your needs for cooking/creating masterpiece meals in the rather large kitchen although most of our meals we used the BBQ outside to enjoy the fresh air and play with our furpups whom absolutely loved the spacious yard. The decor inside and out is very fitting for the wine down cottage and is done very tastefully. They Superb host who answers all questions promtly. It was like our home away from home and We look forward to another stay in the near future. 💜

We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed the back yard . Very relaxing. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. In the evening we relaxed and watched TV. The beds we so comfy. The only thing we didn't care for was the firestation next door was fairly noisey, not all the time, but occasionally. Not enough that we would not stay there again.

We loved our stay at Wine Down Cottage. The online pictures do not do justice to the brightness of this home as you walk through the door, windows everywhere. It was obvious that a lot of thought was put into making guests feel relaxed and comfortable. Everything was immaculate and there were so many nice touches, i.e. a Keurig with assorted pods, spices, dinnerware, small appliances, comfortable beds, you name it. Large fenced in yard was perfect for our boxer dog and we spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub. Diane was very communicative and timely with her responses. We'll tell our friends about this one!

We enjoyed our stay immensely at the Wine Down. The location is perfect….close to everything. The cottage was so cozy and charming and all decked out for Christmas! Although it was raining all week, we had such a great time here and got some much needed R and R as well.

We found the location to be quite convenient: close to shops, restaurants, freeway, etc. yet it is a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to town by going down the hill with 200 steep steps. Great exercise, especially going up!The only negative for us was the queen mattress and the pillows in the master bedroom. They are very firm! And the mattress seems to slop to the edges. We did not have a good night sleep as a result. However, the guest in the other bedroom was happy with their bed. The yard is convenient arranged although our dog was confused about the lack of grass but it is on her, not the host lol The perimeter was very well secured to prevent any possibility of escaping. This is a lovely, updated cottage conveniently located just minutes from downtown Cambria and the ocean. It has a large, well-equipped kitchen and sits on a beautiful, double-sized lot with plenty of outdoor seating. The host, Diane, was friendly and attentive. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The host was super attentive and helpful. The house was cozy, comfortable and had everything a family of 4 needed to enjoy our stay. The cute little town with shops and restaurants was super close and we enjoyed everything Cambria had to offer including the gem of a find in the Covell Clydesdale ranch hidden just above town. Being a mom and used to all my gadgets and tools at home, I was very impressed with how thoughtful the host was with all that was available in the kitchen. Everything was also in good working order. Loved the beautiful touches of decor that made the house feel like a home. We absolutely loved the hot tub and fire pits too. It was great to have a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring, and safely enjoy the stars out at night. We will definitely come back to visit again!

The host was amazing and gave us a call right after. Check into the ensure we made it and had everything we needed. She gave suggestions of places to go and restaurants to eat at. The home was perfect for our family and two little dogs. The backyard was amazing and split up into two sections. The main yard had a wood fire pit with a boat that my daughter enjoyed playing on there was a side yard off of the master bedroom that was additionally gated that had plenty of seating, a hot tub and a propane fire pit. The beds were comfortable and adequate seating throughout the home, even though we spent majority of our time outside in the yard. Would stay again! The town is a little bit sleepy and a lot of the shops and restaurants do close early so important to make note of that in case that is important to you. Also, the town doesn't have a major grocery store or drugstore, so you might want to plan ahead and stop in Paso Robles before continuing to Cambria. Not a deal breaker but just something to know in case you're looking for having a nice dinner at home.

My dog loved the big yard - there was plenty of room to throw the ball with a fire pit in the middle. And, plenty of seating was provided. An added bonus - because the house was near a hotel, we got to spend a couple of the evenings listening to the live music at the hotel. We had a fabulous time.

Property owner was attentive & responded quickly to questions. It's a very short walk to the Fireside Lounge for drinks, food, & live music with your pups. We have stayed at this beautiful home for our anniversaries for past 3 years and it is enjoyable always. The home is beautiful, comfortable , has a well stocked kitchen , wonderful back yard ,secret garden and in a quiet neighborhood but conveniently located to all amenities and sites.

Perfect! Everything we could have wanted was there at the house. The owners made the extra effort to consider every need (or want) of a potential renter. All the spices needed for meal preparation were provided. We used the clean gas grill, sat at the fire pit on the cool evenings, and soaked in the hot tub. The location is perfect and comfortably fit our oversized truck in the driveway. It is conveniently located near downtown and the beach. We plan on staying longer next time!

We loved our stay at Wine Down Cottage. The online pictures do not do justice to the brightness of this home as you walk through the door, windows everywhere. It was obvious that a lot of thought was put into making guests feel relaxed and comfortable. Everything was immaculate and there were so many nice touches, i.e. a Keurig with assorted pods, spices, dinnerware, small appliances, comfortable beds, you name it. Large fenced in yard was perfect for our boxer dog and we spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub. Diane was very communicative and timely with her responses. We'll tell our friends about this one!

This was a very cool house. Large backyard where our grandkids could play when they came to visit with a nice fire pit and plenty of chairs for entertaining. The hostess thought of everything from s’more sticks, firewood and coffee condiments to spices for BBQ and a very nice BBQ. Cambria Pines Lodge was a short walk down the street and moonstone beach was a 2 min drive. We will book this darling house again.

Loved the beautiful touches of decor that made the house feel like a home. We absolutely loved the hot tub and fire pits too. It was great to have a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring, and safely enjoy the stars out at night. We will definitely come back to visit again!

Love love loved our Thanksgiving stay. Every imaginable pot and pan and utensil one needs for serious cooking. Walking distance to the Cambria Christmas Market. We highly recommend this property and the market.

We loved this cottage in Cambria, it was extremely clean & the backyard grill & hot tub very were nice features. The best thing about it was the kitchen; which was the best provisioned I have ever seen in a VRBO. We enjoyed cooking & hanging out while also exploring the Cambria & San Simeon. The owner was easy to communicate with; all and all a wonderful stay.

The cottage is just perfect. Super clean. The kitchen has everything you didnt realize you would need to cook a meal or two during your stay. There are several outdoor spaces to hang out and enjoy yourself. Clearly a space designed for fun and relaxation.

Wine Down Cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in Cambria. From the moment we walked into the cottage, we felt relaxed and at home. The cottage was clean and had beautiful touches throughout, and the fenced in backyard was perfect for our little dogs. The location was perfect---minutes to downtown, restaurants and the beach. It's walking distance to the Cambria Pines Lodge where you can walk for dinner, the spa or evening entertainment. Diane was easy to communicate with throughout and checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. This cottage is perfect for a couple or family getaway and we will definitely be coming back.
