The front desk was not available some of the time because there was one person helping everyone so they were either busy or not there. There’s no phone in the room or at the front desk. When they were available for questions it was not helpful at all. There’s no direct number to call the front desk, you’re always stuck in a loop and never get to a person. They don’t have physical keys, it’s all digital and neither of our worked the whole time we were there. We had to go down and get a new key almost every day because they expired. It was so frustrating. I had emailed them about the amenities because online it says they have a bath. In the email it clearly stated that they have them in every room. Well, guess what, they don’t have them.. So they straight lied to me. That was not even the worst part.. we had no water for a whole day!!! And the communication from the staff was terrible. No one at the front desk knew what was the issue and when it would be resolved. They kept saying 30 min and it was the entire day. We missed an important meeting because we could not even brush our teeth or use the restroom. No one seemed to care about the situation and were giving us attitude when we kept asking questions. I have asked for a refund and they could not care less.

This Hotel has a terrific location with proximity to the subway. The bed was comfortable, lighting was well placed mostly, water was hot, the toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc.) all smelled nice. Downsides: the digital key card using only your phone (no physical keys) is awful. Pretty dusty, especially in the pillows - we woke up pretty sneezy every day and fluffing the pillows left a lot of dust in the air. The towels are pretty thin, you’ll want to request replacements daily. Overall - wouldn’t recommend for anyone too posh, but I would stay here again. Ultimately, we spent very little time in the room and you can walk outside and have access to so much.

I’m posting this here so others don’t make the same mistake I did. Several functional issues made this not even close to be worth the rate charged. TLDR- don’t stay here The toilet flush mechanism did not work for the entire stay. I reported it to staff twice over two days and no one came to repair it, I had to fix it myself to use the toilet in my room The shower left large amounts of standing water on the bathroom floor after each use, which is a slip hazard and messy The room's only window faced directly into an occupied office building at close range, with no privacy anywhere in the room Sound insulation between the room and hallway was minimal, conversations and foot traffic outside were clearly audible from my room The in-room coffee machine did not work. There was no way to reach the front desk by phone, calls went unanswered. I had to go down in person, where the staff member on duty was unable to resolve any of the issues. For the rate charged, I expected basic functionality like a working toilet, a usable shower, and some privacy. None of those were reliably present.

Good stuff: location, big spacious bed, TV with access to log in to streaming services. Poor: Staff seem to have a 'not my problem' attitude, which is completely unexpected. Halfway through our stay we noticed a very loud, screeching noise, like metal on metal, above our room, at all hours of night and day. One of the elevators broke before our arrival, and was fixed during our stay, and the noise only appeared after the elevator was fixed. We raised this with staff: first time at night on the day the elevator was fixed and they said they would let the day team know, as they could not do anything themselves. Fair enough. We told the day team a couple of days later that we had noticed a noise and were met with very strange rudeness. We were told 'well, that's the first we've heard about it'. The staff member gave no solution or seemed to be concerned. It felt like they had a 'why should we care attitude', which just doesn't seem appropriate given the issue. This noise kept us up. We were room 1102. Additionally, the shower floods every time you use it. We fixed this using a towel ourselves but it's not great! Otherwise we enjoyed our stay but given how expensive hotels are in New York, the service didn't feel great when we experienced a problem.
